“Brunch out on the Fourth of July before heading into the day. If we hadn’t been brought here by locals or word of mouth, we never would have found this hidden gem. One family, two shops: Kauai Family Restaurant and Cakes of Paradise (sells coffee and delicious desserts - smashed macaroon was a hit).

One Big Loco Moco and Kalua Pork were “shared” with the Loco Moco winning out; both the gravy and egg yoke meandering through the rice made it a “one more bite and then you can have it” dish. The best kind.

Chill atmosphere, backing tunes present but not overwhelming, friendly staff, and excellent food. What’s not to like?“

“Came to this place after a long day of traveling for some takeout. We walked in and immediately noticed the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. My boyfriend and I were the only two in the restaurant and the staff greeted us very kindly right away. The owner (I assume from reading other reviews) brought out our food and greeted us so kindly, she treated us like family, called us both by name and before leaving she prayed over us. It was such a genuine and beautiful gesture that I was not expecting. She packed up our food and hugged us both goodbye. The food was great and exactly what we needed after a long day. We are just visitors here but through that short interaction and tasty food it made us feel like it was home. Thank you Rose Pho, we will absolutely be coming back on our next visit!“

“I am a huge pho connoisseur and been to many spots around the great Seattle area (mostly south in federal way, Kent, Renton) and this is my new favorite spot. Service is always great, clean and modern interior, and the pho is 🔥🔥. Price is fair compared to other spots, and if you come with friends and family they have a variety of other options like phad thai and teriyaki. Highly recommend if you are in the kent-east hill area!!

To those bigger eaters like me (I go all out on pho) the large bowl is definitely a Large bowl with ample portions of everything: more noodles, meat, and soup. And again the service is always amazing and kitchen staff are always on point with timing and quality.“

“When I first moved to the neighborhood, this was the very first place my awesome neighbors recommended… and I’m so glad they did! The food is delicious, the service friendly and prompt, and the atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and unpretentious.
It has become the place my family looks forward to eating when they visit, and where my partner and I go when we need a little treat (or order takeout from when we need a little comfort).

My personal favorite is the Rama Noodles, because the pan-fried noodles are perfectly tender and chewy with exceptional flavor, and the peanut sauce… I mean, I would honestly lick the plate afterwards if I had only slightly less dignity!

That said, everything we’ve ordered from there has been top-tier. Highly recommend!“

“This is by far my favorite teriyaki spot amd my go to! I love their chicken yakisoba, they don't skimp on anything. The food is always fresh and delicious. The helping is definitely worth the money spent. We ordered over the phone and then by the time we get there the food is ready. So service is standard time, which I would expect when the food is that good. I've never had a bad experience here like I've had at many other teriyaki places.“

We ordered Pho Tai and Pho Nam, grilled pork Bahn mi, a bunch of egg rolls, and the sweet and sour pho, which was amazing if you like to explore flavors, dont shy away from it! All of our food was great, there were no complaints from anyone. 10/10 for these guys, a true hidden gem in Tukwila, WA! Fair warning: their chili oil is no joke. I would buy jars of this stuff. “Best pho and Vietnamese food I’ve ever had! Super fun place with amazing food. Stopped in and was seated immediately. Every item we tried was outstanding. It’s rare to find a gem that has great service, food, and atmosphere and these people have it figured out. Also, met the owner and she talked to us about how these are her recipes. It just tastes like home cooking and not actual plug and play restaurant food. We’re lifers at this place now! I mean it’s so good we went back the next day.“

“My first time in and really didn’t have many expectations but was blown away by the friendly staff. Ordered papaya salad w/ tofu. Tofu came fried to perfection in my book. Requested some fish sauce, the server asked if I would prefer fish dressing, big smile on my face :). Ordered a (banh-mi) sandwich w/ tofu, tofu was a little soft for my liking but had great flavor and a overly fair amount of ingredients, two thumbs up 👍. I received a side of fish dressing I used some chilly paste in it, the other server asked if I would like to have the chilly oil… ohh man was I happy with that suggestion!! Loved it!! “This was the third time we have picked up at Square Lotus...and the experience and the food only gets better. While we did not dine in, everyone in the restaurant seemed to be enjoying themselves in a very nice setting. “Had an amazing experience at Renton Bistro! I came specifically to try their Vietnamese food and ordered the grilled pork chop with broken rice (cơm tấm đặc biệt), and it did not disappoint.

The pork chop was perfectly grilled—juicy, flavorful, and slightly smoky with that authentic Vietnamese taste. The broken rice was soft and paired so well with the pickled veggies, fresh garnishes, and fish sauce. Every bite felt balanced and comforting, just like a true Vietnamese home-style meal.

Service was friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe was clean and welcoming. If you’re craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine, Renton Bistro is definitely worth a visit. I’ll absolutely be back to try more dishes!“

“I've never had udon before, but this place came highly recommended from a friend who has been to Japan a couple of times. I was not disappointed! The noodles were fresh and delicious; I stuck with the tonkatsu broth I'm familiar with from ramen places, and it was excellent too. I would say don't be afraid to go for the large portion, I came hungry and with that and a couple of (sides? toppings?) like the zucchini and the potato croquette I was in dining heaven. I want to go back as soon as I can!“

“We were looking for a new Chinese restaurant for celebrating Father's Day. Thought we couldn't go wrong with a place that shared a name with me 😉 this is a very good Cantonese restaurant tucked into the corner of the factoria shopping strip.

We ordered chicken fried rice, beef chow fun, Chinese sausage clay pot, shrimp wonton noodle soup, and braised pork belly. Overall the food was very good. The chow fun noodles were lacking on seasoning but the kitchen stir fried them again with a bit more sauce.

I will definitely come back here for future orders. I'm glad to have found this gem in factoria.“

“I've been to almost every pho place in kent and renton and this might be one of my favorites already. The server was nice and let me sub chicken instead of shrimp in the spring rolls, which were way more affordable than some places! An appetizer should be exactly the price of these appetizers, I'm pleasantly surprised at the prices here. I truly hope they don't go up anytime soon. The chicken pho was also delicious (i asked for grilled chicken). Overall a pleasant restaurant, and I will be back for sure! I will say one small critique, is there was no music playing.“

“We went there for the dumplings as I’m always looking to find good dumpling places. We had the pork dumplings and kimchi bun and the red beans bun. They all delicious, but I didn’t taste much kimchi flavor in the bun. The red beans filling are smooth, buttery and not too sweet. Also like that they give the broth as drink instead of water. It’s delicious.“

“Tung Kee Mi Gia holds a special place in my heart, even though I’ve moved away from South Park, Seattle. My sister and brother-in-law are devoted regulars, and today, for Mother’s Day, I took them back for a feast. We had their number 15 combination noodle soup, which was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. They also served us Vietnamese coffee, which was good, though I wished it had a bit more condensed milk—still, a unique take on it.

What keeps me coming back—or at least sending my family there—is the outstanding service. As soon as we sat down, the staff brought us water and tea, and we barely had to wait before our food arrived. The team is quick, attentive, and genuinely warm—something that elevates every visit. It’s a classic example of a neighborhood gem with a big heart.

In addition to the amazing food, Tung Kee Mi Gia is super convenient, with plenty of parking, so it’s easy to get in and out. Despite the small adjustments I might make to the coffee, I still give them five stars—this place is a true standout. If you haven’t been yet, it’s definitely worth the visit!“

“We had an early dinner yesterday and had such a great experience, from the kind owner, who ran the whole place by herself during that time, to the food, to the cleanliness. Everything was fresh. The place is clean from kitchen to dining area to the restroom.

The food was delicious, but we were in such a rush that I forgot to take photos of the food we ordered: grilled pork banh mi, bun bo hue, and kids pho with tofu. The tofu seemed freshly made. Everything was delicious!

The prices were reasonable and affordable.

“My partner and I came in and was impressed by the taste of their pho broth. If you've been to Vietnam or remember mom's homemade pho, this is exactly what I got from this place. Easily my personal favorite restaurant to indulge when I want pho and amazing spring rolls.

Don't let the exterior or interior intimidate you, because their food is amazing. The interior atmosphere is reminiscent to how older Vietnamese restaurants looked like pre-2008 and made me remember fond memories.“

“Food was well priced and tasty. Drinks were also good, we had an ube tea, mango green tea and a Thai tea. There is a QR code to order from the table so no wait to order. The food came pretty quickly, although they brought us someone elses order while still completely forgetting to give us 1 of our items. I did witness that they also forgot an item for the table next to us as well. So all in all I noticed 3 order mishaps in about 30 minutes. Service was very polite and prompt! For just under $20, the chicken was very flavorful and tender, and the spiciness was perfect! The portions were very generous,too! “As a preface, im a fatty with a love hate relationship with bahn mi. Grandma used to make it for me as a kid but everytime ive gone out for it, its just not the same. Usually the bread Explodes on contact, and I wear the sandwich.

Not the case here. Not only is the bread softer (not soggy, soft), its Way richer in taste than I EVER get 😭

Not only that, but usually I order 2. Im currently staring down the barrel that is my second bahn mi, and although I have the strength to finish, im absolutely going to need a nap. These puppies are Yuge.

Also, generally I just skip reading the menu and order as there's not much variation. Here, I got EGG IN MY BAHN MI!!! And its PHENOMENAL. Literally ruined every other spot ive ever been to.“
