“The best Thai food in West Seattle. Everything was amazing. A true gem. Service- service is take out only. you call them to let them know you are outside and they bring it out to you. The lady working was extremely nice. Their prices are really good too.“

“The food is quite good, but the price is not.I've been here 3-4 times and every time I've been happy with what I got. Unfortunately the price is insanely high for anything on the menu except the banh mi, which is still expensive but comparatively a good deal with everything else. $20+ for a bowl of pho is just unbelievable. The only time I go here is when someone else is buying, which is a shame cuz the food is actually really good and I'd go way more often if it was affordable.“

“Best pho broth I've had in a loooooooong time. The picture speaks for itself I believe. I very rarely finish the entire bowl down to the bottom but this one did it. Owner is extremely friendly, service was quick and straightforward, they even have complimentary teas which just makes everything better. I would definitely drive 30+ minutes away to come visit again.“

“Had the tonkatsu ramen with chicken katsu. The chicken katsu was super tender and crispy and the sauce it came with and presentation was great. It came on a bed of fried noodles with an orange slice. They also give you a side of rice and a little salad that was very tasty. The ramen was flavorful and hit the spot. The atmosphere is very nice too and the service was great. All together great for the price.“

“Outside of poke (big emphasis on this), Kauai Family Restaurant, in my opinion, serves the best Hawaiian food in Seattle. Granted that I haven't gone to that many places that specialize in Hawaiian food, if you're looking for a hearty Hawaiian platter, this is the place to go to. The interior of this humble restaurant is quaint and small, but it has a lot of character that reminded my wife and me of our Hawaiian honeymoon to Kauai. Point of kudos to being situated next to Cakes of Paradise (future review in the making). We ordered: Lau Lau combo platter Oxtail soup I had THE BEST Lau Lau pork in Kauai - it was so good, that we went to the same restaurant 4 different times in the span of a week to get it. So needless to say, I was pretty excited to try this one. Wrapped in the traditional banana leaf, I was pleased that the pork was really tender and flavorful, and although it can't really hold a candle to the one in Kauai, it did its job. The other pork option was a bit dry though, and the salmon (that came in a super small container) had to act as the saving grace. That mac salad was really good - super creamy and moist. Despite the sweetness to it, it was tiny bit salty, but I won't complain about that. The soup that my wife got also had really tender meat, but the broth was really salty. Still warming though for a rainy Seattle day. Overall, this place is solid for Hawaiian food. Although it didn't whisk us back to our honeymoon days in Kauai, it was still quite good and hearty. I would definitely come back to try their other meat options, as apparently the ginger chicken is one of their coveted menu items. Mahalo, Kauai Family Restaurant! I'll be seeing you soon in the near future.“

“Good food and good service. The waiter was a nice young man who was very friendly. Inside is small. Menu is fairly simple, mostly focusing on Thai street food. There are some unique dishes like Hainanese Chicken and Northern Thai Curry. We tried 3 dishes: garlic pork was my favorite, followed by fried chicken salad. We tried Thai spicy (5/5 ) with the Northern Thai Curry with vermicelli, and it wasn't super spicy. The curry is quiet thick, and the flavor wasn't my favorite.“

“I've said many time teriyaki ain't my bag, but it's close to Chinese and with the lack of Chinese restaurants sometimes you have to compromise. The reviews for this place are near flawless , so I decided to give them a try. This place is off 3rd, and for anyone that drives third, you know traffic is thick and you are trying to find a lane to get through and not get caught by a light. So in the decades I've live here, I've never seen this place because 3rd is one way and no one has time to be checking their review view. Tiny spot, but clean and modern. I got a lunch special and asked for soup. The girl didn't charge me for soup, so either I got lucky, or they just don't advertise it. Miso was delicious and the food came pretty quick after. I had chicken an gyoza, it came with a couple small scoops of rice and salad. The salad was pretty sad, without a doubt the weakest side salad I've been served. No veggies, just lettuce and the dressing was watered down. I like places that serve a sesame ginger dressing, it really wakes up your taste-buds. The gyoza was really good. I would have likes it steamed and fried better than deep fried, but everyone is lazy these days. The chicken could have been a little more flavorful and moist, but it wasn't horrible. I'm going to assume they make their own sauce, It wasn't too sweet, but it had a different flavor. In the end, this place is better than the average spot, but it's not life changing and that what the current score eludes to. I think this place is a 3, leaning towards 3.5, but since Yelp doesn't allow half ratings, I rounded up because service was so good. That said, I'll probably come back to try the Chinese dishes. And I don't regret coming in today.“

“Got terriyaki chicken with rice... which they steam... it was not edible... I sent it back and not one employee offered a menu luckily they took it off the bill Chips and dip had no flavor The rest of my family like the ramen... they use egg noodles so I couldn't try it The fried chicken isn't cooked the way its supposed to be. It's supposed to be double fried to be crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Instead it was a normal fry and the chicken inside was over cooked Service was lack luster and they really don't care or know how to respond to their food just not being good I'd recommend grilling instead of steaming your chicken and seasoning it while cook. Salt would go a long way...“

“Tried this place both as a dine-in and take-out customer -- it's a good choice either way. The pho broth is flavorful and comforting, the curry is really nice and savory, and the banh mi (available only at lunch) is my constant craving. Earthy decorations give this restaurant a cozy ambiance that matches the food, and the Vietnamese coffee is wonderfully sweet and sooooo caffeinated. Highly recommend!“

“Food was delicious, especially the soup dumplings and steamed buns. My husband and I especially enjoyed the pork short rib appetizer. Drinks were tasty, but a little spendy for the portion given. Luckily we sat at the bar so not too long of a wait.“

“The food here is amazing and the owner and other workers are such lovely people. The only reason I am rating this restaurant as a four is because the owner will pray over/bless customers in a very evangelical Christian manner without their consent. I am a pastor and chaplain and I am deeply uncomfortable with this as it does not give space for people to decline if a prayer or blessing does not align with their spirituality. This kind of forced religious intervention might activate people’s trauma. The owner is so welcome to pray over people and express her spirituality if customers welcome it. But to me, prayers and blessings are inappropriate without expressed consent.“

“Ordered beef teriyaki with a side of gyoza because I was stuck on mercer island for a few hours but pho is obviously their specialty. The rice and gyoza were good but the beef abd sauce were sub par imo compared to dedicated teriyaki places. It wasn’t bad but definitely different if you're looking to satisfy a teriyaki craving this is only about 75% there.“

“Popped in here on a whim the other day and am so happy I did. We got their pig ears, wontons, nine way noodles, and green Chili noodles. Every dish came out so flavorful and we will be returning very soon. The customer service was great! The workers here were attentive to and promptly refilled our water when they saw it was getting low, they even packed our food when we were done! I'm so glad to have another favorite restaurant in Federal Way to go to!“

“Super authentic Vietnamese spot in Renton. Located in a smaller older home, the space is quite limited so the wait can be a bit long on the weekends. I came with another person and we shared the banh xeo. I tried the com tam dac biet. Everything was pretty good. The banh xeo was messy to eat with wrapping lettuce leaves around the crepe but the crispy texture and the savory shrimp and pork filling made it so worth it. The com tam was good, I noticed there was a bit more pork than what I usually get with com tam at other places. Overall enjoyed this spot a lot!“

“The owner is very friendly, their food is the best northern Chinese cuisine I had in the greater Seattle area, I tried pepper and pork intestine, lamb soup noodles, the stir fried veggie, and I tried the hand-pulled chicken last time, I like all of them! Their food would be my first choice if I need a party catering in the future ?“

“Food is excellent but on take out orders there is too much sauce and leaks through the takeout container into the bag. Last time there was hole in the bag and the sauce dripped everywhere before I realized. Need better containers or to use less sauce.“

“The banh mi sandwiches here are very good as are the spring rolls. Those are the two things I order when I come here and I always get it to go, so I can't speak about the service or ambiance. I have not tried the pho here but it always looks good. If you are craving Vietnamese food, this is a good option.“

“Really good dumpling place! The fried dumpling reminded me of my childhood version in Korea! The two Wang (king) dumpling types (w/ and w/o kimchi) were both really good. We had he soup version of the dumplings also, which was good as well. It was interesting that the initial "drink" was not water but was their "soup base."“

“I learned that every family's BBH has its own profile. This BBH is made with quality ingredients and a good heart with a lighter flavor profile IMO. I don't have a MSG effect after having the soup. The service is fast and friendly. If I'm in the area, I will definitely come back for more. Pricing is friendly compared to other pho restaurants around CID and not to mention in the Eastside. Parking and another entrance is in the back from the Safeway parking direction.“

“My family and I are pho snobs who compare everything to our beloved Pho 75 on the East Coast where we're from. This place might be the best pho we've ever had. You select your meats, the portions are very generous, and little details like having authentic Sriracha sauce and fresh sprouts and lime show their attention to detail. We've found our go-to phos spot in Seattle!“

“This place has gone uphill with the new owners. The gentlemen greets us every time with a smile, gets our order correct and really has pride in his restaurant. The decor is wonderful and food is consistently great. I rate pho based on a few criteria of what we typically prefer to order and this restaurant is one of the few that hits them all.-Spring , has option for grilled pork or chicken and they’re delicious!-Peanut , homemade- Chicken , I love the fish sauce wings, they’re fresh, but wish I had more of that sauce-Chili/garlic Two types, homemade and both spicy how i like it-Pho , consistently amazing with deep flavors with-Portion , perfect for a great price-, they don’t skimpPro tip: I suggested that his wife bottle and sell her spicy chili sauce, it’s delicious! The next time we came in, she did and we bought a few Togo. Be careful-it’s spicy!“

“Plenty of seating area. Waiter is quick to seat and take order. I order the Special Kim Phuong Rice Dish with a soup. It came with grilled pork but I switched it out for grilled short ribs, skewered shrimp, shrimp patty, rice, eggs, cucumber and a slice of tomato. The soup usually is with a pho broth but I can taste a very strong taste of cinnamon. That kinda threw me off because of how strong it is.“

“I got the spicy chicken teriyaki (my personal default) combo with the four piece gyoza. I came in after lunch around 1:45pm after calling in my order. I picked up my order, paid, thanked the staff and left. It was a nice day, so I drove down to a park to enjoy the weather while I ate.The plating was three quarters rice, one quarter salad with the chicken on top of the rice. Portions were pretty generous. I would say there was about three chicken thighs worth of meat on there. The chicken was a little messy in its arrangement, but it may have been jostled on my journey down. It did look like the chicken was tossed in a sauce after cooking, as the cut sides of the chicken were colored by the sauce pretty consistently. But that also could have come from an additional application of sauce once the chicken was plated. The chicken itself was great. It had a little bit of char on it (as it should) but wasnt overcooked. It could’ve had a little more char on it, but what I got would suffice. I wouldn’t describe it as juicy, but it was not dry whatsoever. The sauce coating the chicken was sweeter than what I was used to, but balanced out well with the rice. They gave me an additional sauce cup that I put on top. That sauce was unusually thick, and took some work to get mixed/spread over the chicken. I honestly don’t even think it was necessary for me to use it, but it was fine. The chicken was good, bordering on great. The rice took up enough of the sauce to imbue it with some of its tasty flavor making the rice experience quite pleasant. The grains were of a medium to medium-short variety which is pretty typical of most teriyaki establishments. The rice didnt show any signs of it sitting in a rice cooker too long nor did it show any signs of overcooking. The rice stuck together in clumps pretty well even after absorbing some of the sauce. Overall the rice was good. The salad was of the iceberg mix variety with a few slivers of carrots in it, again pretty typical. Like it came from a grocery store pre-mix bag. Not that its a bad thing. The dressing was medium thickness, sweet and slightly acidic. It was pretty comparable to most teriyaki restaurants. The gyoza were fried well, and had a nice crispy shell. The shell itself did not show signs of freezer burn and had nice blistering from frying. The filling felt pretty average but that is saying that I still enjoyed it very much. The dipping sauce for the gyoza was not too soy sauce heavy. It had a nice acidity likely from a mirin or a rice wine vinegar and a touch of sesame oil for flavor paired very well with the dumplings. The meal was expensive though, I was out the door $21 poorer (not including tip). Now this could totally be my fault for not looking at the reciept or menu more closely, but I was expecting the charge to be more like $18 based on the images of their menu on google. However, they dont have a spicy chicken teriyaki + gyoza item on their menu specifically though they do have one thats teriyaki + 3 gyoza + 1 egg roll. So maybe I was charged a non-combo price.Overall, 8/10 experience on the meal. The price knocks down a point and the chicken not being fresh sliced does as well. But it still gets 5 stars because its great. Theres nothing wrong here and they get most everything just the way it should be. I would recommend this spot to anyone in the area.“

“Foodgasm! My favorite thing to do is to take the seaweed from either a Arashi or Shoyu ramen, take a whole piece of chashu pork or seasoned egg and wrap it, soak it in the broth a little, eat some noodles, and DIG IN! It is a bomb of flavor that mends very well with the broth. Try it! Tell me otherwise!.... Although! I was sad when they gave 1! Piece of seaweed when I ordered a Shoyu ramen with extra chashu pork and seasoned egg. I had to order more seaweed so that I can have my umami bomb! Coming back for more! The black garlic ramen sound interesting but I got to try the creamy veggie more than anything before the black garlic ramen. Till next time!“

“I'm from South Seattle and usually I get Pho and my Vietnamese food near King Plaza... but ever since my bf introduced me to Pho Hien, I always find a reason to come here! We're here almost every week. Maybe 2-3 times a week bc the food is so delicious here! It's so authentic and the staff is so friendly. Usually the owner is the one taking orders, such a sweet guy, he provides for his family so he's always working 7 days a week, he works so hard for his girls! He told us he picks out fresh meat on his days off and his Pho broth is the best out here! Fresh food. Great people. From the pho to rice dishes and fried prawns it's the best! 10/10 highly recommend. On the weekends it gets super packed so get there as early as you can.“

“We kind of just stumbled into this place and my wife and I were so happy with our experience! Great prices, the pho was fantastic! I really liked the fresh spring rolls and the bahn mi. It literally made me think that I probably needed to go back and lower other the ratings on other Vietnamese restaurants because if this is 5 stars then it really should be above the rest. “We were served tea after taking seats, I think its a cultural respect. There may be a language barrier. They serve pretty fast, if you're on a short lunch break. Satisfying broth!! Sadly, I didn't like the chicken pieces. My husband ordered a brisket pho, enjoyed it. Spring rolls sauce is milky, we didn't like the taste, I am used to a peanut sauce. This place is a bit hidden, I didn't even notice it at first, as we only see Massage on the building, had to research a new Pho (our favorite Pho Hoang closed in Gateway Center) they just replaced it with Crawfish Island this month. I would go back here for the yummy broth!Parking: There is parking in the back“

“This place is near the airport and the street is very chaotic and it’s shockingly pleasant when you come into this restaurant. They have really really good sound proofing and when you walk in the ambiance is peacefully wonderful. They have pleasant music playing at a low volume. A water fall. Nice warm lighting but sun shaded windows so you can see outside just fine but the sun dosn’t beat down on you. The colors and the art and the tables and seats are all very zen. It’s simply peaceful in here. The staff was friendly and the food was great. Definitely come check this place out if you’re in the area.“
