“I have ordered from No. 1 Chinese Restaurant several times. Years ago, I thought their quality was so-so. Lately, they've been excellent. I like my Chinese takeout to be fresh, not-gloppy, with crisp vegetables and flavorful, but not too salty. I don't think they use MSG. More recently, I have ordered from their food through Grub Hub. Unfortunately, the last time Grub Hub screwed up and brought me the wrong order. It wasn't No 1's fault. I called No 1. and they sent the correct order, at their own expense. I felt bad that I wasn't prepared to give the driver a tip. Please support this local restaurant!!!“

“DanDan is delicious and I can’t wait to come back! The General Tao’s cauliflower was the best I’ve ever had. I also enjoyed the DanDan Noodles and Sichuan Pork Dumplings which both had amazing flavor and were quite filling. The Golden Pineapple drink was incredible and I’m still thinking about it! Next time I’m going to explore deeper into the menu and drink list.“

“Small restaurants located within a strip mall that was a fluke discovery moving into a neighborhood a few miles West of Glendale, 16 years ago. It's been a go to for all these years. They are busy every time I go in with take out orders. Everything we've eaten has been very good fron the salt & pepper shrimp (entirely encased in their shells), pepper steak and sweet & sour chicken to their spring and egg rolls. You get plenty of food for money $. Staff are very nice as well.“

I always feel welcomed when I come in, and the lady who hands me my order always thanks me. This is truly my favorite Chinese restaurant!“

“It has been very difficult to find good Chinese food since the pandemic. The quality at all my favorites spots have really talen a nose dive. So when by chance I got some left over Tso Chicken from here from the kids, I honestly was not expecting much. Chinese food rarely heats up decent but this was actually good even reheated. So I had to go try it fresh. And yeah WOW it was fresh and yummy. Wife and I were taken back. We had the chicken with mushrooms, Amazing, the Tso Chicken and the sesame chicken which were equally as good. The one that got all the kids talking was the Crab rangoon. Fresh and filled to perfection! The portions were good and plentiful. Highly recommend! I can't believe I dismissed this place for years just based on the silly name. Learned my lesson.“

“If you’re looking for a place to eat before a show at the Pabst Theatre put this place on your list. We were a group of 4 and we each tried something different. Everything was excellent! Rum runner cocktails, Spring rolls, Hunan beef, Mongolian beef, garlic chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The owner Robert was our server and he was the nicest guy! He made us feel welcome and told us all about his restaurant. He has been open here for 30 years and no wonder. Great food and friendly staff, we will definitely be back! Thank you Robert!“

“I usually order the Crab Rangoon & the Large Shrimp Fried Rice. Both are an excellent amount for the price & almost always cooked to perfection. Not all restaurants do Rangoon right. I have to say, they have some of the best. It isn’t overly crispy & filled with a good amount of filling. I’ve never received a dish that wasn’t delicious....
Update: I haven't been there for a good minute. The last two times the chicken was so hard and brittle. I don't know if they were trying to cut costs but it shows. It might be better now but I haven't been willing to try..“

“Had a hankering for something spicy and found this place out and about. It didn't disappoint. The spring rolls were some of the best I've had in a long time. First time at a new Thai 🇹🇭 restaurant, I always try the green curry. It was a hearty bowl that was a little sooner than I usually have it but delicious regardless. I could have probably handled the 4 out 5 level of spice but sent with the 3, which had a nice warmth to it. There's a semi private dining area and a big bar. The place is decorated festively. Definitely going back to try more of the menu.“

“I’m from NJ and one thing I loved while living there is Egg fu young ! This was my first time ordering from Oriental Express and let me tell you it DID NOT disappoint. I can only speak about my experience. The platter was very heavy. I ate off of it 3 times. I had shrimp egg fu young with shrimp fried rice and I added 5 large shrimp. My man had ham fried rice. The gravy is soooo good . Definitely ordering again!“

“The food is great very similar to Wongs Wok which this location actually used to be. That’s what I was looking for. Food wise need to ease up on the onions for a filler and LESS SALT/no msg. I don’t have any complaints about customer service the employees are always friendly. The only thing is sometimes it can be a long wait, they are extremely busy most of the time. But that’s a good thing right? Lol so it may bother some, I don’t mind. Sit on your phone or watch the TV they have on. I gave it four stars on atmosphere only because it’s more of it to go place. There’s no cleanliness issues to speak of or anything like that you can eat there and there’s plenty of seating it’s just it is mostly to go place if you get what I mean. I go here anytime I’m on that side of town.“
