First impression it was small no one greeted no signs on where to pick up or order but common sense with the little cashier window . But other than that the food was great . I don’t like Al pastor tacos but at this place I did ! Tripas hands down my favorite I have had it was perfect . Lengua was under seasoned needed more flavor . Chicken tacos were dry . “I’ve been vegan for almost 12 years. Slowly there have been restaurants that are plant based, but I’ve never found good vegan Mexican food, until now. A colleague and I ordered here and we’re absolutely amazed at how delicious and fresh it was!!! She’s carnivore and loved it. I’ve found a new favorite spot for sure!“

“I absolutely love the Birria Taco Special with consomé here. It’s my go-to every time. But this visit I got a little carried away! My $13.49 special jumped to $17.99 after adding guacamole—which I realized wasn’t needed at all. Their green creamy sauce (and it’s free) is actually the star of the show.

I also paid to have extra meat added to my consomé, but when I got home… no meat. Major pout lip. Still delicious, still satisfied, but I definitely felt that miss.

Overall: great flavor, but double-check your add-ons so you don’t overspend for things you may not need.“

“I don't think the 2 most recent reviews are truthful. I eat here once a week. This is an amazing taco shop. They way they make your food to order is awesome. Like chipotle but actually good. You order they turn around and make your burrito/tacos and then move down the line of toppings/salsa.Every vege and sauce is soo flavorful.They even have pickled onions!I could have just reported them but that doesn't show how wrong they are. Below are WHY they are inaccurate, or just lies.The most recent, said they used a microwave. Which no, they do not, you order, they turn around and grill.The 2nd one is just inaccurate; the way they described ordering isn't correct with how this restaurant does it. You order what you want any they turn around and make it before moving down the line for toppings. So you don't even sit down before getting your food.“

“My fiancee has Celiac disease, so dedicated Gluten-Free joints are worth their weight in gold in these parts. We are regular patrons of Jewel's Bakery (Tru Taco shares their location & kitchen at night) so this was a no-brainer to try, we gave them a try within the first week of them opening up.

The menu was limited at the time but has expanded significantly since, so if you tried them early and didn't like the limited options, give them another try as their taco menu has expanded. Their Chimi is excellent as are the asada fries. Basically anything that has their cheese sauce on it is a must-try. They also now have an Asada Fry taco which is excellent if you don't want a full plate of fries.

These folks are clearly a mom & pop operation but they're definitely finding their footing. Be sure to keep an eye on them and give them some love & business, it would be amazing to have a good GF Mexican place like this become a permanent fixture in the community.“
