We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Bacanora in Phoenix, and what an unforgettable experience it was! The moment we walked in, the lively vibe and cumbia music set the tone for an amazing night. Our server was outstanding, taking the time to explain the menu and making excellent recommendations. The kitchen staff's friendly demeanor added to the warm atmosphere, and it was impressive to see them expertly cooking on an open fire grill.

The food was truly exceptional. We started with the Embered Elote and bone marrow, and it was love at first bite. The smokiness and lime combined to create a masterclass in umami flavors. In fact, it was so good that I wasn't even done and ordered another one to go! The cucumber salad was a refreshing contrast, with the perfect kick from the salsa matcha.

The Pollo Asado was a showstopper – a monster dish that had everything we needed to enjoy. The half chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor. The quesadillas, papas, rajas, tortillas, and frijoles all complemented the dish perfectly.

Hands down, this was a 10 out of 10 meal. We're already counting down the days until we can come back and experience the magic of Bacanora again. If you're looking for an authentic, delicious Mexican meal in a lively atmosphere, look no further. Bacanora is a must-visit!“

From the moment we were seated, everything felt special. Our table had a handwritten anniversary card and a rose waiting, which was an incredibly thoughtful touch and immediately made the evening feel personal and memorable. Our server, Susan White, was outstanding. She struck the perfect balance of attentive and relaxed — never rushing us, always kind, and completely on point with every detail. We started with a great bottle of wine and some appetizers that were delicious. Both of our steaks were cooked perfectly, and every dish arrived at just the right time. Welcoming, personable and great service (I have worked in hospitality the last 6 years). We were there for our anniversary and the waiter came out to serenade us! “Chanpen Thai Cuisine is my favorite Thai restaurant. The restaurant may not look like much on the outside, but its food is among the best Thai in the Phoenix area. While it is a bit of a drive for me, the drive is worth it.

The restaurant is tiny, with only a few tables and booths to sit at. They are more popular as a takeout restaurant. Both times I have been thus far, I have dined in the restaurant. The first time I went, I got their chicken chow mein, which was some of the best chow mein I have ever had. On my most recent visit, I got their yellow curry with chicken. It was some of the best yellow curry I have ever had. Both dishes were loaded with flavor and tasted authentic. One of my closest friends and his girlfriend came with me, and they said it was some of the best Thai food they have ever had as well.

The service is friendly and efficient. Both times I have walked in, I have been greeted with a warm smile by one of the staff members. I ended up getting there before they opened on my most recent visit, and they apologized for making me have to wait for them to open. However, since it was my day off, I had no issue with waiting, and it was perfect weather out. The wait was worth it.

Both times I have gone there, they have even offered free ice cream, which was a delightful bonus. On the first visit, I had their fried banana with ice cream, and they were a perfect pairing. Highly recommend trying it if you are in the mood for dessert.

For such excellent Thai food, their prices are not only reasonable, but they also have generous portion sizes.

If anyone is looking for a great, authentic Thai restaurant in the Phoenix area, look no further. Chanpen Thai Cuisine is among the best Thai food Arizona has to offer.“

We decided to eat inside and had their 1/4 pound burger and cheese fries. It was good. Additionally, the views of the mountains outside their window was nice see while enjoying our meal. “Visiting Buck & Rider Camelback on National Oyster Day has become an annual tradition for my friends and I. Mike Murphy, the Executive General Manager, and his team, do a phenomenal job, especially given the onslaught of customers during this annual celebration. The fresh pull-apart dinner rolls, crispy Brussels sprouts, dungeness crab wedge and Caesar salad were fantastic. But the star of the show where the amazing Rochambeau oysters. Being a native New Yorker, I love East Coast cold water oysters, and these were absolutely perfect, mildly salty and briny upfront, with a sweet and crisp finish. Great job guys. Can’t wait to come back there again!“

My only disappointment was when it came time to pay we were charged an extra 4% on top of our bill because we paid with a card and I feel like that is something that should be noted ahead of time. It was our first time there so it caught us off guard. ESPECIALLY since I was charged extra to tip 😬 Everything about this establishment is wonderful, they just need to change whoever it is they are doing business with to process their card transactions.“
