We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Bacanora in Phoenix, and what an unforgettable experience it was! The moment we walked in, the lively vibe and cumbia music set the tone for an amazing night. Our server was outstanding, taking the time to explain the menu and making excellent recommendations. The kitchen staff's friendly demeanor added to the warm atmosphere, and it was impressive to see them expertly cooking on an open fire grill.

The food was truly exceptional. We started with the Embered Elote and bone marrow, and it was love at first bite. The smokiness and lime combined to create a masterclass in umami flavors. In fact, it was so good that I wasn't even done and ordered another one to go! The cucumber salad was a refreshing contrast, with the perfect kick from the salsa matcha.

The Pollo Asado was a showstopper – a monster dish that had everything we needed to enjoy. The half chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor. The quesadillas, papas, rajas, tortillas, and frijoles all complemented the dish perfectly.

Hands down, this was a 10 out of 10 meal. We're already counting down the days until we can come back and experience the magic of Bacanora again. If you're looking for an authentic, delicious Mexican meal in a lively atmosphere, look no further. Bacanora is a must-visit!“

“We decided to revisit Capitol Grill for our annual New Years dinner and to put a cap on the holiday season. We got there early and we were happy to sit at the bar but they seated us immediately. We got to the table and we were greeted by several of the restaurant staff. Heather, our waitress was absolutely outstanding and patient. She actually coursed our meal and made every accommodation we requested. The food was as good as it gets. My wife had the Waygu filet and I had the bone in filet. Both were outstanding. As usual, a meal to remember. The Pear and Gorgonzola salad with the brown butter vinaigrette was the star of the evening. You need to try this......“

“We really enjoyed the food and service at Gladly. We called in advance to make sure we could get patio seating with our service dog. The staff called me back promptly and assured me a table would be held. The waitress was very attentive and even brought out water for our dog. The food was great and the drinks exceptional. I highly recommend a visit to Gladly. Just a note: there is a parking lot next to the restaurant, which isn't very visible at night, so look for it; the paid parking ramp charges $10.00 for only an hour's stay.“

I first visited its Phoenix location in person last July and have placed two FedEx orders since then, with each one just as delicious as the last. “Chanpen Thai Cuisine is my favorite Thai restaurant. The restaurant may not look like much on the outside, but its food is among the best Thai in the Phoenix area. While it is a bit of a drive for me, the drive is worth it.

The restaurant is tiny, with only a few tables and booths to sit at. They are more popular as a takeout restaurant. Both times I have been thus far, I have dined in the restaurant. The first time I went, I got their chicken chow mein, which was some of the best chow mein I have ever had. On my most recent visit, I got their yellow curry with chicken. It was some of the best yellow curry I have ever had. Both dishes were loaded with flavor and tasted authentic. One of my closest friends and his girlfriend came with me, and they said it was some of the best Thai food they have ever had as well.

The service is friendly and efficient. Both times I have walked in, I have been greeted with a warm smile by one of the staff members. I ended up getting there before they opened on my most recent visit, and they apologized for making me have to wait for them to open. However, since it was my day off, I had no issue with waiting, and it was perfect weather out. The wait was worth it.

Both times I have gone there, they have even offered free ice cream, which was a delightful bonus. On the first visit, I had their fried banana with ice cream, and they were a perfect pairing. Highly recommend trying it if you are in the mood for dessert.

For such excellent Thai food, their prices are not only reasonable, but they also have generous portion sizes.

If anyone is looking for a great, authentic Thai restaurant in the Phoenix area, look no further. Chanpen Thai Cuisine is among the best Thai food Arizona has to offer.“

It wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I was expecting. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their selections, and the service was great“
