“Truffle fries were nice, sushi was good, chicken wings were tasty. Seafood chowder, however, was too thick and had an off taste. Service was good. View was pleasant. Unfortunately, we were seated among a number of other groups, and it was quite loud. We struggled to understand each other.“

“Service was incredible. I was seated quickly and as a solo traveler, they put me at the window with incredible views. The server was so knowledgeable and prompt.

I had the Autumn tea set menu $52. The early grey was delicious with nice body and comforting aroma. I found the 3 tiers of food leaning too sweet. I could not finish the sweets (brownie was too rich).

But the quiche with caramel onions was incredible. They recommend I started with that and my mouth was thinking about it the rest of the meal. Well done!“

“I dislike all drinking teas, so have coffee with my afternoon tea. I commented to out server, that it would have been much preferable to have coffee served in an individual French Press, rather than from a thermos (not great coffee). Also, it is much "classier", in keeping with the overall experience.“

“The experience was fabulous and the food was amazing. We really enjoyed everything on the tasting menu. We drove from Vancouver just to eat at this wonderful restaurant. Located on a beautiful street in Victoria's Chinatown. Corbin the chef and owner was lovely and very welcoming. Our server from the Netherlands (I forgot his name- sorry) was extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine and also very attentive to us. I haven't stopped thinking about our evening. I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Palm, and it was truly a lovely experience from start to finish. The service was both fast and efficient, with an incredibly attentive staff that ensured every detail contributed to an exceptional visit.

I indulged in the chicken pappardelle, which was perfectly prepared and flavorful, followed by a crème brûlée that offered a delightful contrast – creamy with a touch of sesame elegance.

Lastly, a special note to one of the team members pursuing an art degree: I wish you the best of luck! Whatever path you choose, I have no doubt it will lead to success.

“Delicious food prepared in Cheffy’s own kitchen, good selection of British food, very convenient when cooking isn’t an option, great variety, inexpensive (the fewer visits to the supermarket, the more the savings), the menu changes each week and friendly, helpful staff. Hint: Their delicious scones, with a different variety every week, are very popular and sell out quickly, so it’s a good idea to order them early in the week. 🥮“

“We had an amazing experience at the Alpina Restaurant. The restaurant is well appointed and the view is stunning (even with some rain and clouds). The food was absolutely outstanding (especially the beet salad) and we enjoyed literally every bite. Both our servers were very good. It was fine-dining level expensive and worth every penny. Was perfect for our anniversary celebration. Definitely recommend!“

“Cool place to have a drink on a patio in LangfordStandard menu. Nothing special.The server mixing drinks has no idea how to make sangria. I got red wine with ice. Took about 4 times until I gave up a got a rum and coke. Each time took 20 minutes.“

“Went out for our anniversary, all of our seating requests were taken care right away. Brookelyn our server was absolutely delightful, gave great recommendations, and had a sparkling personality. Of special note, the bartender made the absolute BEST IN VICTORIA Dry Dirty Vodka Martini with extra olives. My partner could not stop raving about how good it was. Top notch compliments to the bar staff! We ordered the Surf and Turf, and the Chicken Pesto Penne Asiago; and both were absolutely scrumptious. The White Chocolate Cheesecake with espresso was decadent and divine. This left us completely sated and sophonsified. Will definitely be back the next time my partner has a martini craving! And again special thanks to Brookelyn for the exceptional service and witty banter.“

“Stopped by the bar about 30min before closing to grab a quick take out of BLT salad and soft pretzel bites. Since I was one of two customers in the bar service was pretty darn quick.

Once we got what we ordered we left and ate along the way home. The BLT was mostly iceberg lettuce, not a fan and a small bit of bacon stuffed into a corner, a bit disappointed. The pretzel bites were fine except the sauce was not for me, I'm sure it would be acceptable for 90% of people, but for me it tasted a bit off.

Aside from the food the service was fantastic. Freindly and helpful. Think I will swing by next time I'm in town when I can spend some time to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a proper meal.“

“View from the restaurant was great and food quality was awesome. staff was so friendly and professional. one small downside was waiting time was longer than we expected. We had a reservation at 6:15pm, and we arrived around 6:05pm. However the table was ready around 6:30pm. Overall we had a pleasant time there.“

“We did a private event for 38 people at this restaurant and it was exceptional! I would highly recommend this venue for a small wedding, corporate event or private celebration. Ellie (event planner) and Grant were fantastic and helping to make sure that every little detail was taken care of from the canapies, to the drink selection and food. Everything was exactly as we had dreamed it would be. The food was excellent, the servers were exceptional and Ellie made planning so easy. The flowers at the venue were beautiful and we appreciate Grant making the effort to assist us with planning our entertainment and having the Bluetooth speaker available. Everyone enjoyed the evening immensely.

Thank you so much for making our 30th anniversary so memorable! I have tons of beautiful, colourful photos… But can not share because there are people in the photos. We had the patio in the evening with the fire going and they had the buffet set up inside …everything was amazing. They even had a large bouquet of fresh flowers in the bathroom.“

For years our main waitress was Barb. She's retired now but Leslie is doing a great job being there always and the others give us good service as well. Great food, friendly service, reasonable prices, convenient parking, clean surroundings. Great place to dine!“
