“went tonight pre blazers game. Theo the chef came to our table as we had some changes and requests for our meal. when I say he went above and beyond that is an understatement. One person in our party some Mexican wings and Theo came to the table asked what he was thinking, was told not spicy and not super saucy. Well when I say them wings were da bomb, they were da bomb. Ever wanna try them ask for "the scotty wings". Then Theo came back to see how they were and how my chicken burger with honey galic sauce (recommended from our awesome waitress) which was fantastic and highly recommend. over fantastic food and service and we will be back. Forsure a 5 star!!”

“My experience at the Amsterdam Restaurant was terrific. This restaurant is not hard to miss since it is located right next to the Trans-Canada highway in Kamloops. My first time there, I had the Advocaat Belgian Waffle with coffee. The waffle was amazing; topped with vanilla ice cream, egg liquor, pecans, and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar while the waffle itself was warm, crunchy outside and soft inside. The coffee was great as well. I highly recommend Amsterdam to anyone who happens to come by the restaurant.”

“First time visiting The Cutting Board. I was extremely impressed with the atmosphere and that they are strictly Gluten free! Haven’t eaten out anywhere in a long time as a celiac. All the treats looked delicious in the cabinet and let me tell you the food coming from the kitchen looked absolutely yummy! Didn’t know they served breakfast and lunch. Will be back for sure. Bought the sampler pack of dessert squares. The lady at the counter was friendly & helpful and the chef took time to chat with me as well Thank you! Linda”

“I visited Madras Masala, and overall the food experience was genuinely impressive. The flavors were rich, authentic, and clearly made with care — every dish had that comforting, homestyle South Indian touch. The spices were well-balanced, portions were generous, and the presentation was appealing. It’s definitely a place I would recommend purely based on the quality of the food.

However, the experience was unfortunately overshadowed by an uncomfortable situation. There was a mid-aged bald chef in the kitchen area who was loudly and aggressively shouting at one of the servers, Anisha, in front of customers. It created a very tense atmosphere in what should have been a relaxed dining setting. What stood out even more was how Anisha handled it — she remained calm, composed, and professional throughout, despite being treated unfairly.

Good food can bring people in, but the overall environment and respect within the team matter just as much. I truly hope the management addresses this, because the restaurant has great potential and staff like Anisha deserve to work in a respectful and supportive environment.”

“After a long and exhausting day, I arrived at the restaurant around 8:30 PM easter Saturday. There was only one server on duty, but he did an excellent job. He recommended two dishes, and when I considered adding an appetizer, he kindly reminded me that the portions were already quite large.

Since it was Saturday, in addition to the soup he suggested as a starter, I ordered their Saturday special — the Saturday Evening Roast, featuring a 10 oz AAA Prime Rib of Beef. Both dishes were very generous in portion and absolutely delicious.

As the restaurant got busier, the server was constantly moving between tables, maintaining a positive and professional attitude throughout. His dedication and energy made the wait feel much shorter than it actually was.

The food quality and portion sizes here are excellent, but what truly stands out is the professionalism and service. If you live nearby, this place is definitely worth a visit.”

“We had almost given up on Kamloops Chinese food until we found these guys. Super friendly staff, very helpful when you have questions or substitutions. Delivery drivers have been very polite, and the speed of service has been excellent. Chow Mein is perfect, not overloaded with veggies, nice seasoning and great texture/cook. Their S&S pork isn’t lazy either where they just toss the meat in then dump some sauce on them, they’re actually prepared properly. We keep coming back and it’s as good as ever!”

The owner doesn’t just run the store—they genuinely connect with people, noticing when regulars return and taking the time to say thank you. Every team member seems genuinely happy to be there, working well together and creating a welcoming environment.
Accessibility is also top-notch—I’ve visited in a wheelchair and with a prosthetic leg, and it’s never been an issue. Even more impressive, the staff remember my coffee order, which is incredible for a café that likely serves hundreds of drinks daily.
It’s clear that when the owner leads with heart, the team reflects those values. I can’t recommend this Tim Hortons highly enough. I visit many coffee shops, but I’ve never had an experience like this. Truly exceptional.”

We will definitely be back for more, and to try a few more new things! 😊 I highly recommend checking them out and trying them for yourself.”

“My husband and I stopped in at Noble Pig Brewhouse last Saturday after a long day of driving through the Thompson Valley, and we were so glad we did. We shared the pulled pork sandwich and it was honestly one of the best things either of us has eaten in years - the meat just fell apart and the sauce had a perfect smoky kick. Our server was warm and attentive without hovering, which we really appreciate at our age when we just want to relax and enjoy a meal. If you're passing through Kamloops, do yourself a favor and make time for this place, we're already talking about coming back on our next trip through BC.”

My brother in law wanted to take his mother out for an enjoyable Mother's Day gift and we decided to come by Mary Browns quickly to grab a Marys Big Bite, Mary's Mashup, Two Spicy Mini Mary's and Biscuit which only came to twenty five dollars but we were told it would take twenty minutes for a small order which we expected was because of the busy time.

After twenty minutes people had come in to order after us and still got their food first. So my brother in laws mother went up to see when our food would be ready and mentioned it would be twenty minutes maximum but it had been well over twenty minutes.

This front desk customer service employee was extremely unprofessional and rude to her, saying they were working on it right now.

After being short with her, I went up to ask for the manager to which I was replied to that there was no manager on site. Then I decided to leave this review.
