“If you are craving for dim sum but hate the crowd, you must check out 852 Kitchen. The tastes were definitely authentic and portion sizes were generous. The black truffle siu mai and shrimp dumplings had plenty of filling and were seasoned wonderfully. The HK style beef balls were bouncy and velvety smooth on the palate and the accompanying water chestnuts and cilantro accenting the meatiness to another level. We also had a great time baking the pineapple buns. From proofing to baking, it was exhilarating to watch the dough rise and their instructions were super easy to follow. Definitely the perfect breakfast item.“
“Lovely restaurant, very hygienic, food is amazing, prices are affordable and their customer service is great. I recommend this restaurant to anyone . It’s suitable if you’re alone or a couple or with family. I’ve been there a couple of times and I’d definitely go there “
“I was referred by a friend to visit the place to try their $10.99 special. Fish filets with cream corn sauce on rice was one my childhood favorite and still is. It was absolutely delicious. Fish filets are crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The cream corn sauce was perfectly done. It was a very good meal for $12.10 taxed in. (How do they survive with the pricing during these times? ?). Will return to try other stuff on the menu!“
“Their hongkong stlye congee is highly recommendable, its my favourite meal to get before I go to coffee monster or library to study. Their prices are also very affordable which are perfect for students like me. They also have great service and both of them are so sweet and nice to their “
“Without a doubt, the food. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, The flavors were authentic and rich, with just the right balance of spices. it's worth mentioning that the prices were a bit on the higher side. While the quality of the food and service justified the cost to some extent, it's something to keep in mind if you're dining on a budget.“
“Always delicious!! it's a family tradition that we go here every year and then head to the burnaby heritage village. Their spicy chicken wings and wonton soup are AMAZING!! and the service is great! lots of traditional dishes. The Gai Lan is great! Love “
“Clean place. Welcoming and accommodating waitresses. Food is delicious. Wheelchair accessible but not blind people braille chart menu yet. Recommended.Vegetarian options: There's Buddha Feast platter.Plain congéParking: City paid parking is difficult to find near by the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately there are many careless delivery people on the sidewalk riding electric bikes and scooters“
“Wonderful flavors and service was over the top great. What a nice evening out would definitely come back with more friends and family.Kid-friendliness: My 4 year was very comfortable and the staff treated him with just much respect as us. Wonderful!“
“I have come here 19 times in the past 4 years for a mix of dim sum and dinner. I even hosted an event here.Food and service are always good. Lots of parking. Price is reasonable. This is pretty much my default restaurant with my family and my recommendation for Chinese restaurant in Burnaby.Thank you for the consistent good food and service.“
“My family and I had dinner there and it wasn't busy since it was a later dinner. It was nice and clean there. Owner was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and portions were big and worth the money spent.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly. My nephew got free treats after dinner.“
“Enjoyed Alaska king crab dinner with friends. Less than $500 total. Enjoyed legs, noodles rice dishes. Also free range chicken and veggies. Also had chicken feet and sea cucumber. Red bean soup and osthamus jelly for dessert. Parking in front.“
“Pretty impressed! Going in with no expectations, as usually for this kind of stuff, I’d go to Richmond but it’s quite authentic here — owners/staff speak Cantonese.Crispy skin pork is 90% there but for CNY that day, at least there was no need to wait 2 hours like what we heard in Richmond. The cha sew was good too, esp if you enjoy less sugar/honey touch up.Bonus they accept debit — Rmd Public Market is cash only.Free, plentiful parking in the back.“
“We went to this restaurant for a Chinese New year dinner. The food is typical Cantonese food, tastes like childhood memories. Lots of people buy BBQ take outs from here. The sit down area is spacious enough for small gatherings. The price is reasonable. The taste is good and can improve a little bit more. The servers there are good, easy to talk to and very friendly. I would visit again.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and booster seats.“
“Ordered take-out recently. Prices are pretty good given the amount of food you get and the food was mostly good.Pan fried rice rolls with xo sauce turned out well with nice wok hei. The thick Shanghai noodles were good too and had crunchy cabbage. Homestyle fried vermicelli was plentiful. The one thing which wasn't great was the beef brisket fried rice as the beef wasn't as tender as it could have been.“
“Beautiful. First time for us. But r Coquitlam fam hv b there for years. Friendly staff. Great service. Generous portion. Good food. Excellent menus. Two things stand out. 1/ value for money oh…my - unbelievable. Also, for set menu free starter ( ie daily soup) free fried rice or free fried noodle n free dessert-soup. Very very few do these three. Most just plain white rice. 2/ Very clean n spacious ? oh…my. Huge thank you to the managers Jenny n ah-lan who took care of our table. Beautiful ????. Once again thank you very much. Our must go to restaurant in the tri-city.“
“Located inside Metrotown mall and beside Walmart. Prices have inflated but the nostalgia hasn’t. That one dish that always brings back memories and never ceases to fail me.Thank you for keeping this dish, properly made, and absolutely delicious as always. It’s always hit the spot for me on busy days.Beef tomato spaghetti Hong Kong style.“
“This is a hidden gem. Their food is the real deal and the portions are large. Prices are really good as well. Love how you get complimentary Cantonese soup. I used to live in Hong Kong and this place is as authentic as it gets. No bells or whistles but a very comfortable atmosphere. This is the type of place I’d bring my parents make them feel like home.“
“Reasonable meal prices and portionsThe service staff is professional, fast and efficient, no orders are missedSpacious seats and convenient parkingFor tea meals, I personally think this is the first choice in the Richmond area. Will come again.“
“Very kind and active waitress and delicious foods. What I tried were good, but I think can make it better…As an Asian, I think those food quality are on average. But if you’re the one not always having Asian food, you will feel satisfied with that.“
