“Excellent food, atmosphere and great place to eat before wine tasting! ❤️”
“Gabe was absolutely amazing! He made our whole experience at the restaurant feel special from the moment we sat down. He was friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and wine selections. We’re going to come again to request him!🥰”

“The best winery in California! I would like to thank Don for making the visit spectacular he went out the way to greet us and he was so friendly. I highly recommend anyone who is looking to taste wine and check out the founder and history of wine in the US it’s very intresting.”
“Great wine, attentive service and super convenient location near shops and restaurants in Napa. We also brought our kids and they were treated wonderfully with sparkling water and chef-made snacks just for them.”
“Another winery recommended we visit this winery in Sonoma because of it's story, culture, and quality. Six of us did and it did not dissappoint. Jimmy did a wonderful job of sharing the family history, as well as the history of the winery. He also recommended great wines for us to sample and consider for purchase. I'm glad we availed ourselves to learning about how our Mexican brothers worked the fields, learned the business and became and expert, purchased land, started his on winery, and served two U.S. Presidents (Obama and Bush) and the California Gov (Swarzenegger). Oh, the wine is GREAT!”

“Dinner at Enclos was phenomenal. The progression from small bites (the gougeres 🤤), to seafood (clam chowder chawanmushi!!), to savory (dehydrated carrot with the beef 💕), to desserts (tiny honey ice cream cones) was amazing. Service was great. Space is nice, especially the garden lounge.”
“Went to an event here and got to meet the brewers and beer tenders and it was an amazing experience rounded out by delicious beer. The friendly staff will lead you to their great selections based on the style of beer you like. A fun crew and great beer! Visit Sonoma Springs Brewing soon if you haven't had a chance!! Also excited to find them at our local supermarkets in Santa Rosa!!”

“Schug Winery was our favorite. Made a reservation for the wine tasting in their cave. It was awesome walking into the cave which opens to a chandelier room very elegant with a great table. Various wines were poured and tasted. Exceptional wines at this winery. We bought a case. I highly recommend this winery for the tour and the wine!”
“Kiv is a total find. The front looks a little rough when you pull up…then you step through and it opens into this unexpected backyard oasis. Big shade umbrellas, fire pits, quiet corners — the kind of spot you settle into for hours.
The wines are fantastic and very reasonably priced. Father’s Watch (pictured) might be one of the best blends anywhere — balanced, silky, and way better than its price point suggests. They’re also working with some rare and hard-to-find varietals, which makes each flight feel different than the usual Sonoma lineup.
The chicken and ricotta bites? Absolute knockout. One of those dishes you order “just to try” and immediately wish you’d doubled.
Service is relaxed but sharp, the atmosphere is great, and there’s a wonderful restaurant next door. Location is solid, but you could easily drive past the humble storefront — don’t.
A+ winery. Total gem.”
“Congratulations to this boutique winery! Their reds are smooth, pleasant and maturing. The story of passion and legacy will keep their production going for many years! Looking forward to returning.!”
“I liked foods here that I don’t like normally at all. The servers are friendly and accommodating to everything we asked for.”

“Just finished a wonderful coffee date! Absolutely loved my drink and treat. I highly recommend the cardamom and brown sugar latte. Not too sweet but just right. The almond cake with ganache was so good! Great customer service and very friendly. We will definitely be back!”

“I have enjoyed the menu at sweet pea bakery for several years now. When I was going through some medical issues, my daughter from out of town kindly bought me a gift certificate to sweet pea and send it to me via email unfortunately, sweet pea staff was not able to figure out how to use a digital gift certificate And I was unable to use it. I was disappointed that I couldn’t use it, but more disappointed that they did not offer me money back on the gift certificate.”
“This is our favorite spot in Sonoma. We live on the east coast and visit every fall. Of course we are part of the wine club! Not only is their wine fantastic but they also go above and beyond in showing hospitality. It’s special here. This is a small, family run winery. Deepak (owner, winemaker) is always there to say hello and chat and makes you feel so welcome. On this most recent trip, our friends who were also visiting CA joined us for a first time visit to Nicholson Ranch, and Jessi knocked it out of the park. She provided a lovely educational tasting experience and cave tour which included both Nicholson and Gulrajani wines, followed by some ‘heavy snacks’ (try the burrata with pistachio, it was amazing) … oh… and a lot of laughs. A great time was had by all. We will always come back.”

“Excellent Pinot Noirs, Neil is terrific.”
“Wow, what a great find! We visited Ceja through Sonoma Bike Tours- and we had a fantastic time. My party is well versed in wine and well travelled- and we were impressed with our Ceja experience! The wine (especially the Chardonnay, red blend, and dessert wine) was consistently great. I highly recommend doing the wine tasting.Don’t miss out about learning about the family story, too!”
“I can’t express how much I loved eating here. The food was amazing and our server was excellent, especially as we wanted a more family style dining and they were more than accommodating. The honey vanilla crème brûlée was some of the best I’ve ever had. I’m going to be dreaming about that dessert.”
“Absolutely phenomenal! An odyssey of wine & cheese pairings, and a great and very approachable introduction to the intricate world of wine. Definitely exceeded our expectations. Lloyd was the perfect guide!”
Takeout Restaurants
“I’ve been looking for a healthy food restaurant in this area, and this place pleasantly surprised me! Not only is the food truly healthy, but the service is also exceptional—so calm and caring. The atmosphere is warm and happy, with uplifting music that makes the experience even better. It’s so important to eat in a relaxed, stress-free environment, and this place gets it just right. Highly recommend!”
“Small and cute cafe with limited menu. The high point is the bacon!!! Maybe the best I've ever had. I will intentionally stop by when randomly in the area wine tasting. The brioche donut is also a yummy highlight with Nutella or raspberry filling. Do yourself a favor and get the Nutella and then a side of raspberry jam to dip it in!!!!”
“The most beautifully presented and tasty agedashi tofu I have ever had! The tempura udon was very tasty with an excellent dashi but would have been nicer with more than one tempura prawn. The restaurant smelled a little too fishy as if it hadn't had a deep clean lately. However the service was so beautiful, gracious and efficient and the room had such gentle acoustics that we both had a lovely lunch.”
“I’m so glad we found Delicious Dish! It’s a hidden-in-plain-sight gem. We’ve yet to order something that wasn’t great, the soft serve ice cream is divine, and they have my favorite iced yerba mates in the drink case. The patio overlooks a beautiful field. Don’t sleep on the to go dinners! The whole place has a welcoming indie feeling.”
“Tucked right on Sonoma Plaza, Red Grape is one of those places that instantly feels like a home away from home. From the moment you step onto the sunny patio, you’re greeted with warm smiles and the gentle hum of plaza life - footsteps on historic tiles, the occasional laughter drifting from the fountain, and a light breeze rustling the old oak trees that have watched over Sonoma for over a century.
The food here is consistently delicious and satisfying - everything from fresh, vibrant salads to perfectly cooked mains shows care and attention in every bite. But what truly makes Red Grape special is the staff. They’re genuinely friendly, approachable, and attentive without ever being overbearing. Each visit feels like being invited to a friend’s table, complete with thoughtful wine recommendations or quick, funny conversations that make you smile.
Fun fact: the building itself has been part of Sonoma Plaza for decades, a quiet witness to the town’s history - from early 20th-century merchants to today’s bustling mix of locals and travelers. Sitting in the outdoor area, you can almost imagine the stories those walls could tell.
For our family, Red Grape has become a regular spot, a reliable place to gather, relax, and savor both the food and the atmosphere. Between the sunny patio, tasty dishes, and genuinely welcoming team, it’s the kind of place you return to again and again.”
“My sweetie and I stopped by for the yummy wine and the overall lovely views! We were not disappointed!”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“Getting a burger here is easy. Just order at the gas station. Customer service straight forward. The menu is short. Burgers are seasoned well, fresh, with a nice soft bun. I get the double grilled burger. They have old pinic tables to sit in the shade and eat. My only complaint is they don't have fries. And since they only have a short list which are only burgers, fries are a must. Not sure if the fries will return, they said the deep fryer is down. There a little pricey $10 no fries. All in all great burgers.”
“It's basically identical to Starbucks, but big corporations have that effect. Peet's coffee is very high quality. The food is just what you would get at any coffee shop, nothing amazing there. I will eat it though, don't get me wrong. Service is great, especially for how busy they get. The atmosphere is not great but there is only so much you can do with a small space. That's Sonoma's achilles heel, space. I like the place and it's a great location. The only thing that is hard for me to get used to is how everyone feels they need to bring their dog into a coffee shop. It's gross, sorry. I have a lot of hospitality experience and it's purely a sanitation issue. But, that's California for you. Always weird.”
“Every time I go to Santa Rosa I pass by the El Gitano Taco Truck, and every time I pass them by, I tell myself...Next time I'm stopping!
Well, today I stopped and got 4 plain tacos de cabeza without any condiments so I could taste the meat for itself. They were Amazing!
5 stars all day long ☆☆☆☆☆”
“We were very happy with the service provided by Los 3 Hermanos at our recent company event for 150 people. The food was great, and orders were filled swiftly.Erika and her crew were very organized and friendly. We definitely hope to use Los 3 Hermanos for future events.”
“Supreme Sweets and Christina Danner don't need my recommendation. Christina's artistry is unreal—or maybe oh so real. You might not want to cut into the masterpieces she creates, but then you taste what she baked you and you end up in the oh so apropos conundrum of wanting to have your cake and eat it too. Good luck when you get to that part of the experience she creates. You might need your therapist on speed-dial.”
“A watering hole for the locals, it's a charming place with a jukebox to select your music. Dan, the bartender, is a nice guy who can provide a helpful ear if you wanna unburden yourself. Dan also makes a mean blood mary, which is described as the best in town on the directory board. I agree with that ad, twas a bloody good bloody mary ! You get a shrimp with it !!!!It's a small place with about 3-4 booths and easy to miss when walking in Sonoma downtown. We found it only coz it was 9:30pm and this was one of the few places open. FYI, its open till late night. Preferably, walk to this place. The locals are friendly and provide good stories you can sit and provide half an ear to when watching basketball or ice hockey. If you are interested, you can even watch star trek TNG.No food is available here though except for packaged chips. But deftly a lovely place to end your day at.A for sure return visit for me next time I'm in sonoma downtown.
Parking: Parking is on the street around the town square which can fill up pretty quickly. And its only a 2-3 hour parking.”
“really good and tasty food, live music on Saturday night, vegan friendly ❤️”

“I love this place, grew up going here, I make the effort to stop by every time im back on the mainland. I will say im not thrilled with the small cuts, but im thinking I got the wrong bags as most of the stack was the huge and wonderful meat sticks. And yes, I know they would ship a box out to me, but that takes all the fun out of it.”
“Sonoma Happy Garden was our pick after a long week of dining out; we just wanted some easy Chinese takeout. The man at the counter was very kind and helpful, which we appreciated. Since we were staying in a hotel, we didn’t have basic utensils, so I’m glad I asked for plastic silverware or I’m not sure how we would’ve eaten. The food comes in traditional Chinese paper boxes rather than plastic containers, which makes it tricky to eat rice-based dishes straight from the container. Also, rice doesn’t come with the entrees and needs to be ordered separately.
We ordered the sizzling chicken and shrimp rice soup, which had pretty good flavor. The orange chicken also tasted good, but the pieces at the bottom were very soggy from sitting in the sauce.
Overall, this is probably a great spot if you live locally and can plate everything at home—or if you choose to dine in. For hotel takeout, it was a little less convenient.”
“I was going here every day with my husband, both of us getting a large every day for about 2 months after discovering this new gem... and probably still would be except that we both realized that we were putting on the pounds. ? Everything in moderation I guess, but we love these boba drinks! My husband's favorite is the brown sugar milk one, and I don't really have a favorite, but I recommend the blended dragon elixir, the tropical blended, the strawberry dream, the peaches 'n' cream, or the strawberry matcha! You really can't go wrong because you can control the sweetness of the drink, you can control how filling it is due to the types and amount of boba that you get...”
“Love Mary's. My grandson and I each had a meal that was new on the menu. Mine was the Fried Clams and his was the Chicken Picata. Both were outstanding. The batter on the clams was very light and crunchy. I also tasted his chicken and it was outstanding. Of course, we also had an order of the plain breadsticks. So happy I live in a town with two Mary's Pizza Shacks.”
“Great food, great service and unbeatable prices. Every item on the menu is a five star. Good selection of wines and cocktails.”

“Had the best time at Tin Barn when visiting from Portland! Danielle gave us a tour and was such a great host all throughout our tasting. We will definitely be back ❤️”
“I don’t know who Buck is/was but he did a good thing.
Came here because it’s rare to find a vodka sauce pizza.
Super solid place.”

“Had lunch there today with 3 of my friends. We are all locals. It was such a lovely experience! Food was delicious…. I’m a vegetarian and had no problem choosing my dish…. There are also Vegan dishes available. The atmosphere is relaxing and the service was excellent. I must mention the French Fries…. There are several restaurants in Sonoma that serve delicious fries but these are the best. I’m looking forward to many more enjoyable meals there!”

“Wow! Yum! This was a wonderful and pleasant surprise. We stopped in after Happy Hour, which I am sure would be amazing! We ordered two craft cocktails - a Whiskey Sour and a Watermelon Margarita which had some heat to it. Our server Marco recommended it. It was the best! You were definitely right Marco! We also had ordered the nachos. These aren’t your ordinary nachos! These nachos have birria and every topping you can imagine! Very clean, high end type of Mexican food- not heavy and greasy! So happy! I only wished I was more hungry so I could order other dishes. This restaurant has other dishes to accommodate those in your party who may not like Mexican food (I know! How could that be?) So don’t worry! There is something for everyone! We met the owner Kina who was busy expediting the orders to the various servers. She did take the time to speak with us. We were highly impressed with Kina and the way the restaurant and staff was operating. The only bad thing we could say is, we are so sorry we don’t live in Sonoma as we would be able to enjoy this restaurant all the time. We will definitely be coming back before we return to our home in Ojai. As it is, we are up in Sonoma a couple of times a year and plan to make Kina’s Kitchen & Bar a regular stop for us!”
“Review I am on a flight returning to Nashville and already longing to return to Sonoma. Not for the wine, weather and topography, although all of these made for a lovely trip with my husband. No, I want to return for one reason only - so that I can experience Animo one more time. The unusual combination of flavors and ingredients, expertly cooked and beautifully presented were nothing short of remarkable. I’ve never had a meal like it and suspect I’ll never have another without returning. This husband and wife team cook and serve with all the spirit and commitment required to create this kind of wonder. We started with the lobster, shared the ribeye and ended with the cheesecake. Each dish was not as expected. All were perfection. If you only have one night in Sonoma, this is where you should go.”

“Sonoma Grille is so excellent...I highly recommend this restaurant. The owner and staff are so welcoming and thoughtful. The drinks are excellent, the food is fantastic, it can get loud but that's part of the fun! Great bar...the lamb shank was delicious, the mussels were amazing and the linguini with prawns was sooo good. Don't miss going here. A Sonoma staple.”
“Fabulous, delicious food from the appetizers to the desert. A huge shout-out for the excellent service. In this day & age even classy, expensive restaurants often offer mediocre service. The waitstaff at the Depot Hotel was highly efficient, observant, attentive, and courteous. It was a delight!”

“My son is lived in Sonoma for the last six years, but just this last year we discovered Tacos Costa. Absolutely love the quesa tacos. When he has the nachos, you absolutely can’t go wrong with chicken nachos, but he does them as a special so keep your eyes peeled. All of the staff is extremely friendly and very personable and if medical marijuana is your thing sparc is right next door. He is closed on Mondays and I think Tuesdays so you wanna pay attention to what day of the week it is when you have a taco craving.”
“This restaurant is not anything like how it publicized itself! It is not Latin American. It is plain, run of the mill hotel food. Fine for hotel stayers convenience but not at all up to standard for the Sonoma restaurant options. We are locals and feel like we were lured here by the publicity and the expectation of trying tastes we don't normally run into. The one good thing is that the prices are extremely reasonable for Northern California.”
