“Ate here 4 times. 1: salmon w fish, 2nd: branzino w lime , 3: seabass eggplant and 4th: sweet sour fried pompano. all of them were excellent. thai fish cakes and mushroom dumpling for appetizers were great . My wife had Tom yum soup and coconut pad Thai : both of which she loved . our service was great as well. we live in San jose but we're up in Berkeley for about a few weeks and this Thai restaurant is better than any in South Bay. highly recommended!“

“We had such a wonderful experience with Thai Rice Spoon Catering! They had great communication throughout the entire process, were flexible with our options, and gave us helpful recommendations on what to order, which made planning so easy.

They arrived a few minutes early, and the food was warm, fresh, and delicious. Our guests absolutely loved it, and many went back for seconds!

They also provided plates, utensils, and serving spoons, which made setup and cleanup so much easier.

“Dabao is DaBOMB. Went for dinner there last night. I am visiting from Vancouver and so needed to try tried all of Emily’s signature plates. Each plate was better than the next. Flavorful, fresh and just absolutely delicious. And the spicy condiments were sooo good. This is not your average food court fare. Not only is this the best option at the Metreon, it’s up there with the best options in town. They also cater and you can order through all the delivery apps. Try it and you will not be disappointed.“

“Tasty food and friendly staff! Booked Liberation Foods to cater the appetizers and buffet-style meal for my May 2025 wedding. Conducted a tasting prior to booking which was helpful to identify menu items. Also liked that tasting fee was credited to overall bill. Due to venue constraints, opted to have food dropped off the day of the event in lieu of prepared onsite. When there was a mix-up with one of the sides, catering staff quickly returned back to the venue with the correct item. Would definitely recommend for your catering needs and I will definitely book with them in the future!“

“I recently had Jason cook for my 40th birthday backyard/pool party for ~18 adults and he was phenomenal! Not only are his paellas and tapas incredibly tasty, he is also an all around great person. We had the paella Valencia moderna and the vegetarian paella and both were excellent, even better than the paellas I have had in Spain. My friends/family are still raving about his food! The presentation of everything was very impressive and really elevated the already exceptional flavors of all the food. The booking process was also seamless, Jason is an excellent communicator and very easy to work with. I highly recommend Chef Jason and his paella for your next special gathering! “We just had a major milestone event in our backyard, and had a wonderful experience with Chef Margaret Riesen's Vegetarian Gourmet Catering service. Not only did we enjoy planning and working with Chef Margaret and one of her staff, Soledad, the food was exceptional! Guests were raving about the appetizers (they included veggie samosas, tortellini skewers and baba ganoush), the side dishes - King Solomon Salad and quinoa tabbouleh with mint (and more), and the main dishes -- a curry, tamari, coconut milk tofu stew and a luscious lasagna! Friends contributed desserts, but Chef Riesen's dessert selections look delicious as well! We also felt that the pricing of Vegetarian Gourmet was reasonable and there was plenty of food and leftovers! We thank Chef Riesen sincerely for helping to contribute to a very successful party!“

They did a fabulous job for my daughter’s graduation party with over 150 guests, and more recently catered another special event I hosted. Both times, they delivered beautifully.
