“I had been hearing a lot of good things about the food here so I finally made my way into Silverlake to check it out. As you are probably already aware, this is a take out or delivery restaurant. You cannot dine in here. You actually can't even enter the building. The front door is a two piece door and when they are open for business, the top part of the door will be open. You order from there and then wait on the sidewalk for your order to be ready. You can also call in an order in advance or use various delivery services. There was not anyone waiting to order when I got there so I was able to walk directly up to the door and immediately order. I had to wait approximately 10 minutes for my order to be prepared and in those 10 minutes they got very busy. Six people came up to pickup phone or delivery orders during that time and those pickups went very quickly. A line began to form to order during that time and when I left with my order there were 5 other people who had placed others and were now waiting for their orders to be prepared and an additional 7 other people waiting in line to place orders. They prepare their food quickly but keep in mind, they need to cook the food after you place your order. If there is already a line to place your order and people waiting for their food to finish cooking, all of that will add to the amount of time it will take before your order has been prepared. If you are in a hurry and need your order quickly, perhaps you should consider another restaurant such as a fast food restaurant. They do prepare the food as quickly as they can but keep in mind, you will wait approximately 5 to 10 minutes at a minimum and the more people you see standing around out front will add to that wait time. Is it worth the wait? Oh yes, it is worth it. I had the popcorn chicken, Summer Rolls and the Caramelized Pork. The Popcorn chicken and its dipping sauce was a real treat for the taste buds. The chicken is double fried but is not dry on the inside and the dipping sauce has the perfect bite of spices to it. The summer rolls are huge. Your choice of protein or vegetables only. They really could be a meal within themselves and the vegetables were very fresh with lots of vegetable crunch in every bite. The Caramelized Pork came with sticky rice and cooked with hard boiled eggs. It was as good as it sounds (which is very good). The portion sizes were very good with my order easily being enough for two people with some leftovers. Truly, the summer rolls are so large that you cannot help but have leftovers. Parking can be very tricky here. There are yellow painted loading zones in front of the restaurant and the mom & pop grocery store next door so if you are just picking up an order that had already been placed, you shouldn't have a problem. You may find yourself desperately looking for a place to park though. Keep that in mind but don't let that scare you off. You will be thankful for the effort you put in when you are finally home and enjoying the fruits of your troubles. BTW, I hear that their Bahn Mi sandwiches are so good. I look forward to trying that next time.“

“This is a great Vietnamese joint. I still have to try Pho and others, but all the dishes looked yummy. I loved every bite of my lunch so far - large enough to make it to the dinner as well. There are plenty of vegetarian options. It’s next to Seven Eleven, but plenty of parking space.“

“A great quick and casual pho spot in Sawtelle that serves regular and vegan broth. I live very close by so the location is extremely convenient for me, but in general, this area is less crowded than other parts of town even though there is limited parking in the shopping center where it’s located. It’s fairly easy to find neighborhood parking or metered street parking if the lot is full. It’s quite small on the inside, but that adds to the charm of the place. Everything you order will come out lightning fast and they have all the traditional options on the menu.I started off with a strawberry iced tea with boba and would really recommend it. It’s not the bad flavored iced tea, it’s homebrew and actually very good. For my meal I chose option two the combo. The broth and flavors were really rich, tasty, and overall I really liked it, but I still am not a fan of tripe no matter how many times I try it. Next time I would order the filet mignon and would probably recommend that to everybody.Overall, a really tasty Vietnamese restaurant with fair pricing and lightning fast speed. I would recommend and will be back in the future.
Parking: small free parking lot“

“I am a frequent visitor at this place and the food quality always impresses me. The taste is outstanding, making every dish irresistible. Though I am not usually a huge fan of noodles, I find their vegetable pho exceptional. The flavors are harmoniously blended together, creating a wonderful dining experience. I am convinced that I will keep coming back for more.
Vegetarian options: They offer vegetable dishes
Parking: Parking lot is limited Infront of the store, but there is more around the shopping center.
Wheelchair accessibility: Flat surface throughout.“

“Always my favorite pho place in the SFV! Ben the owner gave us aegg drop soup to try and I loved it! The pho number 1 with all the meat and trimmings. If you don’t know now you know! Also if you get spring rolls put the lettuce and veggies around the eggroll and dip it in the sauce! Fire!!!“

“This is a great Vietnamese restaurant on Sunset. I had eaten lunch at a Thai place earlier. But, I wanted to try a couple of dishes here. So, I stopped in for a snack. I really wish I had been very hungry.
I can’t give a full review of food simply because I just had these spring rolls and some Vietnamese coffee. But, based on what I did try, I know everything else is delicious.
I used to live in California. But, now I’ve moved away. I do visit LA often. I’ll definitely come back in here to try the pho.“

“Wow! What a true hidden gem in the heart of East Hollywood. It's Pho located in a strip mall on Cahuenga and just one block of Franklin.
The moment you arrive you are warmly greeted. After being seated your handed a menu and your drink order is taken. After several minutes I decided to try several dishes.
For starters I had papaya salad that was outstanding. For dinner I had the chicken pho soup that was one of the best I ever had in town.
I also tried the sticky rice with mango that was enough to share with several people. You could ask for a nicer staff and owner from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave.
I look forward to coming back here again. As It's Pho my new place when it comes to Vietnamese food. You have a nice private lot parking and street parking.“

“It’s a simple pho restaurant with neat interior. The food was what I would expect from a pho place. Broth was good, Ingredients were fresh. Their Thai ice tea was also decent (- little watery but not too bad). There was a lot of room in the restaurant. Service wasn’t anything special… the server wasn’t mean but not nice either.I don’t know, it was good but nothing special…Parking is valet only $3. I might come back if I have a craving and it’s close by but nothing made me think that it was my new and only pho place.
Parking: $3 in 2023“

“A very cozy restaurant and wonderful polite staff. I would like to note the portion size - it is simply huge! You will not leave here hungry, so come hungry and get ready to spend time in a pleasant atmosphere with delicious food. Seafood soup or rice with vegetables and beef will not leave you indifferent. And the smile of the staff is a separate compliment! Thank you!“
“My husband and I love this restaurant! We've ordered a couple times from Postmates and we have never been disappointed. I love the spicy lemongrass chicken and my husband loves the pork belly and the shaken beef. The shrimp and pork egg rolls are unlike any egg roll over ever had and so delicious. And don't get me started on the sparkling limeade. This place is such a gem. We'll be ordering from them forver.
Dietary restrictions: We have a peanut allergy and they are always careful to not include any nuts“

“Love their combination meal. It either comes with 1 spring roll or 2 egg rolls a bowl of brisket and rare steak pho, and a drink. For about $18 or so. You can add a Thai tea for an additional cost but definitely worth it. They also open at 9am which is convenient.“

“This is the best restaurant in all of Los Angeles. Yup. I said it. Firstly, yes it’s Vietnamese food, but with a homey, DELICIOUS spin, where they favor simple yet powerful flavors, SUPER fresh ingredients and don’t get overly complex with anything. It’s just perfect.I have tried most everything on the menu and have continuously come back for many many years. Ten years? When did you guys open? How old am I? What’s going on? All I know is, it tastes exactly the same and exactly as delicious all these many many years later!! I don’t know a single restaurant that has upheld that consistency while keeping things delicious over the years.Have a Vietnamese iced coffee with your pho & get the jackfruit mix for starters. Or the jicama chicken meatball. Or the fresh rolls. Ooo or get a bahn mi. Yeah I wasn’t kidding. I like everything on the menu!“

“First time trying Pho in the US, the restaurant has good hygiene condition, wide range of choices from rice to noodles , spring rolls and I was quite surprised how big the bowl of Pho I got (double size compared to Vietnamese pho) . It’s more like Southern Pho (Saigon Pho), served with herb, lime and green peppers, free siracha and hoishin sauces . The broth was good tho, never been so full, there’s Asian market and boba store there, perfect trio
Parking: In front of the restaurant“

“We had a group of 8 for dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday and we had a fantastic time! Food was incredible, drinks were well balanced, our server was very helpful, and the restaurant decor was beautiful. Highly recommend the hot sesame noodles, the crab garlic noodles, the braised beef, the chicken wings, and the shrimp toast, but we ordered many items and there wasn’t a single miss. Valet parking was fast and easy. DiDi was a perfect choice and made the night very special. We will definitely be back!“

“The food was good and the dessert was also delicious. The coconut shrimp appetizer is a must try. The Pho was okay and could be more authentic. The egg roll was also good. The restaurant added a 15% service charge, which I wish they just let customers tip instead of a mandatory charge. Overall, the food was good.“

“Very unfortunate rating I have to give, because I actually enjoyed the pho. I originally ordered the oxtail pho, but after like 10 minutes found out they were sold out.The broth was nicely seasoned, not as clean/clear as I’d like though, the rib eye was okay, but there were not enough noodles. Anyway, I ordered shrimp egg rolls as well. I was almost done with my pho before they came out. Yet and still? They came out FROZEN! Not cold, or old, FROZEN!“

“We picked up a banh mi and it was just okay. Overall it tasted fine, the sriracha mayo was good. The bread was undercooked and too pale and my first two bites of the pork were just chewy fat. Once I got rid of those pieces, the pork was okay but I had to take a bunch out.“

“I came here for some phô with friends figuring I would find something on the menu, being LA. Turns out they have a whole vegan menu! The phô was great and I saw that they had bahn mi and knew that I'd have to come back. I did and will come back again too. Everything I had was great. Bahn mi was spicy and came with great taro fries. Updated from previous review on 2024-03-13“

“If you want delicious pho in a HUGE quantity, then Pho So 1 is the place to go. Im not sure if there's parking behind the store as it's located on a busy street. Every time I've come here, I've been lucky to find street parking (metered). The prices here are great. I like to call them "inflation busters" because they didn't exorbitantly raise them like other restaurants. For that reason, it remains a staple in the valley and a strong competitor to other chains in the area. The broth is delicious and the meat portions are generous. I always come here when I'm craving pho. There's a 3% service charge if you plan to pay by credit card, no minimum, if that's something that you need to know.Haven't dined in the location since I always order takeout but it is always busy during dinner time, which I always attribute to really great quality.(7/50--2024)“

“The Pho is enough for 2 people and it's delicious! We have had both the chicken and the Wagu beef. Also, the rice plates with fried rice and either Wagu beef or spicy pork is really good. We get one of each (Pho and rice plate) and share. We are quite full and satisfied when we finish! And the prices are very reasonable.“

“Ordered via GrubHub and received Pho Ga (chicken), a spring roll appetizer, and Thai iced tea.**Delivery:**The meal arrived securely packed in a large brown bag. Each item was individually contained to prevent spills. While the food was still hot upon arrival, the broth's temperature had slightly affected the container's integrity. Despite this, all items were intact.**Quality:**Overall, the food was satisfactory. However, the side ingredients like bean sprouts, mint, and basil were sparse and not of the best quality. Only a fraction of these ingredients was usable. The chicken in the pho was a bit bland and slightly tough.**Taste:**The pho broth, a pivotal component, was average at best. It seemed as though it might have been prepared from a seasoning pack. While not bad, it lacked depth and didn't stand out. However, with added ingredients like hoisen and a touch of spice, the taste improved. On a scale, it would be rated a 6 out of 10. The spring rolls offered a pleasant surprise with their crispy interior, enhancing the overall experience. The Thai iced tea was decent but not extraordinary.**Final Thoughts:**For those seeking outstanding pho, this might not be your top pick. However, if you're near the USC campus and looking for a convenient option with decent pho, it's worth considering. As a USC student, I find it satisfactory for regular orders.“

“This is my second time eating at this wonderful restaurant. It is located in the Stillwell Hotel on Grand Ave, close to the Whole Foods. My absolute favorite dish is the spicy pork chop with white rice. I also ordered the spicy fried tofu for the first time and it was absolutely yummy, although I don’t think they added the spicy seasoning to it. I also recommend trying their milk teas. I ordered the Jasmine milk tea. I am so excited for their relocation to 8th St. next to the Golden Gopher. Definitely see myself becoming a regular here and trying out other items on their menu.“

“There’s a reason this place is voted one of the best Vietnamese spots in Santa Monica. Co-owner Alvin, who serves the front, is always so welcoming, helpful and attentive. The food always tastes fresh with that homemade flavor which makes the experience feel like you’re eating with family.
The shrimp and pork spring rolls is my favorite appetizer, with their spicy garlic tofu bites being a close second. Their bahn mi is so crispy and is stuffed with lots of protein and veggies. The noodle bowl is also recommended and has a large, filling portion.
Their drinks are also amazing - the chia seed blueberry lemonade is so refreshing and the iced latte with ube foam has the perfect balance of coffee and sweetness.
Looking forward to continuously visiting this spot and trying their off-menu items. I wish I had a bigger stomach!“
