“Stumbled upon this place looking for somewhere to eat on my hour-long lunch break. Ordered the $29 Yakumi special which came with 2 rolls, sashimi, cucumber salad and edamame. Great amount of food for the price but what truly blew me away was the quality of the fish. Rivaled many well-known fancy sushi spots out in LA. Service was friendly, and when the waiter noticed I hadn’t finished my food by the end of the meal, he gave me a bag full of everything I needed to eat on the go, including a little tray for the soy sauce. Everything is absolutely delicious, super healthy, affordable, and fast. It’s such a reliable go-to for plant-based meals.

The Toluca Lake location is especially great. Parking is free and easy, which is a huge plus. It’s right next to Sweetgreen and Something Vegan, so the whole block feels like a little vegan paradise.

I’ve tried a lot of the menu, and while everything is tasty, the bowls are my favorite. They’re flavorful, satisfying, and packed with nutrients.

I also appreciate that they show the calories on the menu—it makes it easy to eat well and stay mindful.
