“We love this place. It has a great selection of mead and cider and the atmosphere is enchanting, incredible actually. They have entertainment and trivia nights and you could spend hours there. They also have non-alcoholic on tap. The owner is a dog-lover and offers doggie treats with permission from the parents. We especially love coming when a certain guest artist is performing, and upon our third visit, we noticed a reserved sign on a table at which we usually like to sit. “I love this location. Been a handful of times. My first visit, was the first real time I have been introduced to Gluten Free beer. I have family friend who I believe is a “Celiac” and this brewery is one of the few that he can enjoy. I visited the Encinitas location, staff and vibe was off the day I went but here it’s always fun. Beer has gotten a little stale for me considering they always have the same product. So my only critique would be is experiment with more beers haha.“

“Very chill spot with extremely friendly service and quality brews. They have indoor and outdoor seating, some fun games including card games you can use, huge jenga, and a few other ways to spend your time. They often have food vendors serving up freshly-prepared food out back, and do a fun trivia on Wednesdays. Nice variety of beers on tap, though my one wish is that they'd try a bigger IPA/DIPA. Apparently the owner and brewer disagree with this philosophy in this neighborhood, but we'll agree to disagree. I'll keep coming back; it's a great place to close out a workday on my laptop or expose my shameful lack of trivia knowledge.“

“I thought it was enjoyable. Not only the beer, but the brewery itself was unique. They did have a food vendor in the front, but I did not eat. They have mostly indoor, and a couple picnic tables outside which. It’s hard to compare this location with the other burgeon locations because they are all so different. Wish they would offer a Happy Hour or a featured/discounted beer like how Harland and Pizzaport does.“

“We came to AleSmith Brewing Company for a retirement party and were honestly a little nervous at first... I thought they only had “weird” beers and no food. Stepping out of my comfort zone turned out to be the best decision. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
The peach beer is to die for. They also have food trucks with tons of options... we enjoyed everything from pizza and a burrito to a fruit plate and a chicken quesadilla.
We’re foodies, and we absolutely loved the vibe and atmosphere. Such a great experience!“

My wife and I were looking for a place to get some food prior to a concert at the Belly Up and came upon this great little restaurant. “My wife and I were recently craving some local beer and burgers, so we decided to stop by Karl Strauss Brewing Company. I was honestly surprised by how good everything was. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, and the beer selection was excellent, which exactly what we were looking for.
The atmosphere was awesome too. I really liked the design of the brewery and the overall vibe of the place. It’s the kind of spot where you can just relax, enjoy a couple of local beers, and have a great meal without overthinking it. We had a really good time and will definitely be coming back.“

“The service was exceptional Most of the food was delicious. The online menu lists things no longer available. The southwest Philly was lacking onions peppers and mushrooms like the menu claimed. I'm not sure if the waitress delivered a special order to the wrong table . The sauce on it was good ,but meat and sauce isn't what I ordered..and the bun enclosed the meat completely. However everything else ordered was perfect and delicious. Over 4.00 for one soda seemed high.“

“One of the best breweries in California. So many great choices for beer and way more variety and creativity than most breweries. They are known for much more than just IPAs and always seem to have something interesting and different on tap.
And then…the pizza. Pizza Port has a reputation for a reason. The crust, sauce, and cheese are excellent, and they are very generous with toppings. Everything tastes fresh and done right. Highly recommend coming for the pizza or beer or even better, both!“
