“Sambazon in Cardiff is awesome. They are quite frequently busy, but they are fast and worth waiting for. I have the PB Açaí bowl and it fills me up for the whole day. The people are super friendly and helpful. If you are in Encinitas be sure to go the extra few miles to Cardiff by the Sea.“

“Atelier Manna had been on my list for a while, and it absolutely lived up to my expectations. The service was warm, attentive, and welcoming, making for such a relaxed and enjoyable brunch experience.

Our favorites were the Turkish eggs, steak and tortilla, torrija (Spanish French toast), and the Greek yogurt panna cotta. We also loved trying the different vitality tonics, which were a fun and refreshing addition to the meal.

“This is a cute little restaurant to eat breakfast or brunch! I like their options and they’re all super yummy! You order at the cashier and then sit and they bring the food to you. They also have a cute coffee bar for their coffees! I got a veggie burger which was interesting because they used hatch chile as the “veggie patty” vs an actual veggie patty, but it got the job done and was yummy!! 😋 portions are good bang for your buck as well“

“The Naked Cafe serves delicious food. The morning we visited was very chaotic, saying they were short staffed. One staff member got a little snippy with a customer asking where to wait as there was no hostess. It was awkward for the people already seated. Their Encinitas location seems less busy and the staff seems less stressed and more friendly.“

“Truly fantastic coffee. I’m a New Yorker and truthfully Californians just don’t seem to do coffee well. Drip coffee seems to have America in a chokehold and getting a great espresso or any derivative of such (cortado, flat white, etc.) is worthless. We happend upon Lofty coffee and my boyfriend ordered the cortado. It came out perfect. To describe it in words would do it an injustice but I will still attempt: the espresso itself was so smooth and mixed with the milk perfectly - there was no separation at all. The milk was delicate - steamed but not airy nor watered down. The whole drink experience was so velvety - almost like sipping straight warmed cream. Truly I’ve never experienced anything like it.
I’m a daily coffee drinker and am deeply heartbroken I can’t have a Lofty’s cortado daily at home. Thank you for the wonderful experience.“

“Simply amazing! My husband and I frequent Naked. The food is awesome, and the service is amazing. We thought we would post a review of a visit we made there a few days ago. When we walked into the restaurant, (early 8:00 am) for breakfast, there was a table that had already been serviced with about 14-16 people. Michael, the manager was already taking their order. When he was finished taking their order, he came over to our table to take ours. He told us that there was a large table before us, so it might be a while before we received our order. Surprisingly enough, within in 10 minutes!, no lie, the large table was being served their orders and at the SAME time, our order came out as well. I don’t know how they do it. “A nice little Cafe overlooking the view. I feel like the Cafe is more for people who work here rather than open to public but you can still definitely get something. No coffee though, you can get coffee from thecoffee stand in front of the institute instead.“

“A truly hidden café tucked between office buildings, it’s a bit tricky to find on Google Maps, and locating the parking lot can be confusing. I ended up parking on the street and walking in.

Once inside, I was surprised by how spacious it is, with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. They even offer discounts for employees working in the surrounding offices, which is a nice touch. The staff were very friendly, and they have free Wi-Fi, making it a great spot to work or study.

I ordered a latte, which was excellent, along with the classic avocado toast, easily one of the best I’ve had. Highly recommend this place, and I’m definitely looking forward to coming back!“

They grilled our egg salad sandwich in the panini maker and the iced matcha latte was delicious. The crew here helpful And warm. Also very quick. I only wish there was more “bar style” seating for those who tend to linger for hours on their own instead of taking up a whole table. It’s been super crowded with no seating the last few months bc people tend to stay for hours working. Which I totally understand. But for a UCSD alum like me, I may just wanna sit for half an hour maybe an hour at most and often there is no seating. That’s my only suggestion. Add single person searing. But I’ll definitely be back and hope to come before a “rush”. The line can get very long. (I get it. I used to work in a cafe at the Price Center and it was crazy there). Also would Love if they stayed open later. One can only hope.“
