“Rose Hill Café in Cardiff is fantastic. The coffee is excellent every time. Rich, smooth, and clearly made by people who care about the craft. You can tell they use quality beans and know how to brew them right — no bitterness, no shortcuts.

The food is just as great. Everything we’ve ordered has been fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. You can taste that it’s made with good ingredients and real attention to detail, not just thrown together. Portions are generous and it always hits the spot.

The café itself has a cozy, welcoming feel. Service is friendly without being overbearing, and you’re made to feel at home whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee or settling in for brunch.

“Sambazon in Cardiff is awesome. They are quite frequently busy, but they are fast and worth waiting for. I have the PB Açaí bowl and it fills me up for the whole day. The people are super friendly and helpful. If you are in Encinitas be sure to go the extra few miles to Cardiff by the Sea.“

“Vibe/Interior: Earthy, cozy, and a place that makes you want to stay a while. Everything about this place feels so grounded and intentional.

Standouts: The vitality tonics are unlike any mocktail I’ve ever had - mentawai and sienna. The French toast is enormous so we had to take the rest home. My personal favorite was the panna cotta - light, refreshing, and not too sweet

Service: The host was incredibly warm. Our waiter was just as warm and attentive! Our water cups were never empty.

Parking: Across the street from the restaurant is a huge dirt lot that’s free

Pro Tips: Make a reservation in advance. We were a party of 2 and arrived at 11 so they were able to squeeze us in but almost everyone else had a reservation“

“Elissa puts so much thought and dedication into her delicious creations. You won't find Costco muffins repackaged in cellophane at this cafe - you WILL find her handmade recreations of traditional French pastries, fun fantasy-themed original creations, alongside custom flavored and hand-painted chocolates. Highly recommend, delicious. I only wish we lived closer and could visit more often (but that's why my wife has a monthly chocolate subscription to Elissa's companion business, 'Chocolates by E')“

“Order at the counter and food is brought to your table. There's a separate counter for ordering coffee.

The #1 burrito was fantastic and huge. No cheap fillers. Delicious eggs, sausage, avocado. I took half home for the next day. Kids loved the French toast and pancake combos. They also enjoyed the fruit smoothies.

Overall it felt like good value for the money. There was no line and it was easy to get a table at 8:45 on a Saturday, but when we left at 9:30, there was a line out the door. Free street parking was easy to find at that time.“

My boyfriend wanted something a little lighter and Izzy was able to cater his drink to his needs. Definitely check this place out.“

“What a wonderful find! Walking up from the beach this morning, we discovered Naked Cafe tucked away—you actually can't see it from the street, only from the beach side.

Solana Beach is small, but this is the perfect spot to grab a great brunch and catch some shade for a bit. The zucchini carrot bread was excellent, and the massive pile of potatoes sizzling on the grill looked so tempting.

“I appreciate having a local cafe where I can eat almost everything! They use no seed oils; it's 100% GF and have many dairy free options. They use homemade almond milk without the additives. I can enjoy a latte, a baked good like their pumpkin cupcake which is delicious, and they have amazing vegan bacon on their Sammy sandwich.“

Notable employees that bring you first class service at this location are Alison and Crystal, they above and beyond and always with friendly demeanor and smiles on their face.

My go to beverage is the work out smoothie with vegan protein I swear there’s nothing better after a serious workout since it refuels you and doesn’t leave you feeling heavy.
