“I found out about this place by this app called TooGoodToGo. They had a “Surpise bag” for $9.99 so i decided to give it a try . I went 10 min before the closing time and i got these 2 plates full of food . It was such a steal & everything was so delicious ?!

“The best “Chinese food” (in this case, actually Szechuan) in all of LA. This place has been around for years and it’s actually gotten better since Covid. Large shareable portions, reasonable prices, great service (they even pack up your to-go), and most importantly legit awesome flavors. “I had the opportunity to visit this Michelin-starred restaurant specializing in noodles, and I must say that the experience was overall very positive.

The house specialty, the beef noodles, were truly delicious. The meat was incredibly soft and rich, making it the highlight of the meal.

However, I felt that the broth that accompanied the noodles could have had a little more flavor. Although it was clear that a lot of care had gone into its preparation, it seemed a bit neutral to me.

Overall, I give it a rating of 8/10. Although it was not a perfect experience, the quality of the meat and the presentation of the dishes were more than enough to make up for the small deficiencies. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any noodle and beef lover.“

“Great place for a group to hang out, drink, and eat some food. Very cool atmosphere. Like an old timey tavern from Chinese dramas. Good, fast service. Order food on a tablet. There are options to omit scallions and cilantro for people who don't like them. You can also call the servers from the tablet, otherwise they leave you alone. “I like this place. $13.99 per pound of food. You get to choose all your toppings. I recommend going heavy on the meats and light on the carbohydrates. That’ll be the best bang for the buck. They also have frog meat if that’s your lingo. I tried their beef bone broth and I like it a lot. I’d come back again.

Just a heads up. If you can’t eat mild this place won’t be for you. They can’t alter the broth. The only option is the tomato broth which is no spicy.“

“Had lunch at Jade Wok near Chinatown and honestly, it hit the spot. The standout for me was definitely the sweet and savory spareribs. They’re sticky, flavorful, and perfectly tender with just a bit of chew. Exactly how you want Chinese-style spareribs to be. The glaze is rich and garlicky with a nice hint of sweetness, and the green onions and sesame seeds on top gave it a nice little pop.

We also got the stir-fried greens, which were super simple but fresh and cooked just right. A little crunch, a little tenderness + great as a balance to the heavier dishes.

And the braised tofu with minced pork came in a deep, savory sauce that soaked into the tofu beautifully. The tofu was fried just enough to give it some texture on the outside while staying soft inside. Super comforting.

It’s not a fancy spot, but the food comes out hot, portions are generous, and everything tastes like it was cooked with care. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and want that classic Chinese comfort food vibe.“

Quite a few, as I may add, which is why my wife and I walk ten thousand steps per day, where- and whenever we can - and explore a lot of new exciting places - places you may oversee when just driving by. While I love to share my experience with others, I am sometimes shocked at how people use their "power of the word" to down-rate amazing places because of minor incidents (in my all-time favorite​ restaurant Le Petit Four on Sunset Plaza the owner was even called a racist as he refused to toast the (free) bread in his packed restaurant - they simply do not offer toasted bread, as no French​ place does, as I may add). Or I just read "Chicken piccata so over-salted I hope the dog enjoys the leftovers tomorrow, I brought home most of the dish." Did they speak to their service? How could the restaurant learn that something was wrong when patrons even have their leftovers​ boxed to take home? As a dog owner,​ I want to take the writer and shake him or her really bad and say "You give over-salted food to your dog? Anyone with a bit of brain understands this is a horrible idea...​ I hope you agree.So If I had a say on this portal, I would offer just to see the ratings of my friends. So I would see what the ratings were by like-minded people. Sadly, I have no say. I try not to compare apples with oranges. A place like this does not correspond to "The Ritz". At first,​ I assume that a restaurant is clean, they do not greet you with a gun - and they deliver whatever they promise. I do not give stars for things that are expected. I can't get over these egg noodles in this wonton mein! seems like most places serve it up clumped together and you need to split your chopsticks to break them apart - BUT NOT HERE. they are silky and bouncy! and the soup is nicely flavored, enhancing everything in the dish. you also get four big wontons filled with plump shrimp and pork. I also love their hainan chicken, well seasoned, and the filet mignon has a nice kick.

Nice selection of traditional asian dessert options in individual serving sides (tofu pudding with ginger syrup, "che thai", ube tofu, etc.) and they also sell their wontons/dumplings frozen + noodles in packages.

“We ordered the signature beef hotpot set, the oyster pancake, a pork claypot, and a soup noodle. The beef cuts and the pork meatballs are unique. They all tasted great and didn't suffer from a dreaded common occurrence where every dish tasted the same, like it's made from one sauce. Service was pretty good too. Price wasn't too bad, $115 before tip for those said items. As far as I know, this is the only place that serve this style of beef hot pot (one reviewer said otherwise). Place is kinda small so i can see waiting maybe an issue, the Parking space is right just for the amount of tables they have.“

“This restaurant is very affordable, every dish looks big and is packed with great flavors.

If you come to this place with a group, there is a mandatory tip so don't get surprised by that (it will be included in your check).

I got various items from the menu, some of the highlights were the garlic and shrimp fried rice and the Chinese sausage fried rice.

The service was great and included tea. My party kept drinking hot tea and the waitress was always on top of it and refilling it. Even when we finished our meal and we were just chatting amongst each other, the waitress still offered tea, it was a very nice gesture and made us feel welcome to stay more.

Pending on how much you eat, I recommend getting the number of plates = the number of people in your party. If you cannot finish everything, they offer boxes to take out the rest of your food. I recommend dining in, it is clean and spacious.

The only bad thing is that some members of my party went to the bathroom and it was not clean, one of them even said that it ruins part of the experience. For the owner: Please clean the restroom, it would have been a perfect experience.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lee's BBQ & Boba Chinese Food. I was thoroughly impressed! The flavors are absolutely delicious, with each dish prepared perfectly. The meats are tender and flavorful, and the variety of options on the menu made it hard to choose just one.
