“Food is delicious and portions are big enough to share with the family , you get your food served on your table in about 5 minutes after they take your order, prices ok. The only negative star is an asian men on the bar I think the owner that has a bad attitude when he put beverages on your table he throw the straws and a the time you pay he look in front of you how much is your tip if you dont put any tip he gets mad. “I heard about this place online. Someone posted a review that the portions are big and the plates are $11. I stopped in, and the 1 item option is $11, 2 item combo was $13. Portion sizes are decent. I chose Noodles, bbq pork, and spicy teriyaki chicken. It did not disappoint! I also ordered an orange chicken and broccoli beef combo, and it was delicious. I added egg rolls they are not that good, but it's ok. I really enjoyed my meal. You can also order small ($7) and large ($10) entrees. Restaurant staff is very nice and it feels clean.“

“Ordered a chicken chow mein and combo fried rice outta nowhere. Just had a craving. And man the flavors hit all the right notes. The rice, steak and chicken fried rice was enough to feed my family of three and every bite was delicious. The chow mien was marinated to perfection and the chicken was cooked beautifully. “We were pleasantly surprised and loved this little restaurant! We originally came to Chinatown to eat at the other famous place down the street from here, but there was a 2 hour wait there and we needed to eat and get going to the Dodger game! That’s when Google came to the rescue and we found Jade Wok!! We ordered fried rice, chow mein, spare ribs, kung-pow chicken, house beef and all were very delicious!! “I’m back at this xiao long bao spot in Baldwin Park again! The restaurant has that super down-to-earth, old-school Chinese restaurant feel that instantly feels familiar. The main point is — they’ve been making xiao long bao in LA for years, and everything is still handmade by the aunties, not pre-made. If you want a giant crab roe soup dumpling, this is the place I think of!

The giant crab roe soup dumpling comes out steaming hot and is seriously huge — it almost fills the whole steamer 🤣. I like to slowly sip the soup through a straw first, then open it up and eat the rest. The crab roe flavor is rich and fragrant, and it’s so satisfying while it’s still hot. Even editing the video made me crave it again!

We also ordered crab roe xiao long bao and sweet-style pork xiao long bao. The wrappers are thin and there’s plenty of soup inside. The slightly sweet pork filling feels very Jiangnan-style, and I personally really like that little touch of sweetness.

The Wuxi-style pork ribs looked so appetizing too — tender meat with a sweet, savory sauce that goes perfectly with rice. The Liangxi crispy eel was another specialty I really liked. It’s crispy, fragrant, and super snackable — not something you see at every restaurant.

For something warm and comforting, we also had a bowl of five-spice beef rice noodles, with your choice of spicy or non-spicy, plus a plate of garlic pea shoots to round out the meal.

I also noticed they have these cute little training chopsticks 🥢, which are perfect for kids or anyone who’s still learning how to use chopsticks. Such a thoughtful touch haha.

The thing that blew my mind from taste was there smoked porked ribs and their squash with green beans. The ribs were amazing almost like if they specialize in BBQ. Location was clean. BUT if you're looking for some delicious mouth watering dumplings cooked in various forms then you're at the CORRECT place. I brought my mom here and we tried the pork chive regular dumplings, the pan fried beef and cumin dumplings and the regular fried rice. All of it was delicious. Also they give you a complimentary bowl of egg drop corn soup. NOT a small bowl but a good size portion, it was GOOOOOD. I will definitely be back with the rest of the family and I want to try the beef noodle soup. DON'T fall asleep on the fried rice.“

“I googled "best Chinese in LA" and then this popped up as the #1 place. So we drove - and had a very good meal. However, if you expect the classic Chinese dishes, you will be disappointed. This is Shezuan, "a different animal". So no rice, no sweet-and-sour-this-and-that. So be prepared for very spicy Szechuan food. Noodles. No rice. Try the dumplings, they were delicious. We ordered mild (1 out of 5 spice degrees) and we were burning inside (we had two separate orders of dumplings - but spice grade 1. There is no consistency, so be careful). So if spicy is what you are "in" for, you'll love it. The ambiance is sort of authentic ;-) - the sign on how to use the toilet (outside the restaurant in the alley) says more than words. But then, it was $100 all-in for the four of us only. My advice: I could barely understand the service language. Better check the menu before you go. As we were first-timers, I wanted to share three starters and three mains among the four of us and leave it up to the waitress to make us explore - she did not understand. I asked if they served beer. The answer was "noodles or dumplings". :-)“

“Tried Vege Valley Restaurant recently and honestly it was a good surprise. I’m not even strictly vegetarian but the food was really flavorful and fresh. Ordered noodles and a veggie dish both were well cooked and not too oily, which I liked.

For large party, 6 or more, the set meals are a good deal with wide selection of dishes.“

“We ordered the sauerkraut fish and the portion size was huge. It was more than enough for two people, and we still had a lot of leftovers to take home. The flavor was really good--savory, tangy, and comforting without being overwhelming.

We also tried the quail eggs, which were battered and fried. They were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and honestly super tasty. Perfect little bite-sized snacks.

“This Chinese place is just too cute and adorable. They have great food, be it take out, delivery or dine in. We have done all three. It can get crowded and I don't think they take reservations. It is worth the wait.

The service is nice. The staff is wonderful and they know the menu well. You can call ahead and your food will be there for you to pick up. We often just have it delivered.

All of their food is super. We really love all their rice dishes and they are packed with flavor. Their shrimp dishes are really good and anything with crab will make you happy.

Parking is easy and yes, you will have to wait in line, but again, it is well worth it. So have fun and enjoy. It is also very clean, including the bathrooms.“
