“Great food and would have been a wonderful dining experience. However, our initial experience upon arrival was not very welcoming. The hostess explained that we coukd be seated and served only in the bar area at one of the hi tables or the bar itself as we did not have reservations. We of course said, great no problem. Upon sitting at a hi table a server approached saying that we couldn't sit there without the hostess' approval, at which time we explained that she had done so. He refused to let it go, continued to argue with us about server assignments etc. Then he just walked away to go discuss with the hostess, who in turn came to explain weird situation and tell us that it was fine to remain at this table. The rude server continued to display attitude and disdain throughout our meal. Our main server Peter (?) Was actually very professional and attentive.“

“I had the warmest experience at The Arthur J, from the hostess at the front door, the wait staff and the manager. I had recently lost my husband prior to my reservation and was determined to enjoy our anniversary dinner. Not only was a the food delicious, but the overall experience was beyond memorable. Thank you…. thank you. Can’t wait until I return for his birthday.“

“Had an incredible experience this evening at BOA. Mr. Ousley seated our party in the best seats! My server Mark was outstanding and his service was spot on. Clay and his whole team were On Point. The whole vibe and atmosphere was just perfect. I think I just had the best steak of my life right here in Santa Monica.“

“They are by far the best steak I have ever had. We went there on a whim and they were booked but found a cute table for us by the fire. It was the most memorable meal with my husband. We are eternally grateful for the experience and service we received.“

“This place is absolutely epic! Best food in America we ate by a country mile!!! Brian and his chef Miguel went above and beyond for my fussy daughter , they delivered high class service and a few laughs as well. Everything we ate tasted incredible, so much in fact that we had to go 2 nights in a row. Thanks Meat On Ocean. A truely memorable experience.“

“This place was great. We really enjoyed the food, service and the entertainment. The piano player was a great touch. Went on a weekend with a reservation and got right in. You have to check in with the host stand right by the valet and they'll tell you to ring the bell by the side door down a few stairs. We had the Pappardelle Bolognaise and a wedge salad, both were amazing. The valet is really convenient but super expensive, even for LA. We'd stop back in some day for sure!“

“Food was delicious. I had the filet and my husband ordered the Kansas City cut. Both were perfectly cooked medium rare. The octopus starter was amazing and the sourdough bread is not to be missed. Their wedge salad won an award for a reason...order it! Service was impeccable! Loved the attention to every little detail. We were celebrating my birthday and they went above and beyond to make it a special one. Definitely looking forward to our next visit!“

(^ review by my 10 year old son who loves steak and swears this is his favorite steakhouse ever. We purposely stay at this hotel for this restaurant when we have an early flight out of LAX. Excellent food and kind service. We will definitely be back! And yes, our waitress, Grace, was lovely!).“

“Dined here on a recent trip home to Cali. The food at Yardhouse is reliably good no matter the state. I had four people with me and everyone enjoyed their food. The service wasn't great. There were items overlooked and the waitress was unattentive.“

“Second time here it’s a fine dining experience in an old world setting. Steaks fantastic & reasonably priced. Ladies bring a cardigan as rather chilly inside. John the Duty Manager was very pleasant & keen to know we were happy with the service.“

“Absolutely a spectacular fine dining experience. Professional staff, and skillful cheif. Filet Mignon and Ribeye were both at the perfect temperature and preparedness. Crispy on the outer surface and tender and juicy in the center. The staff know the wine list to help advise a good selection to you liking. For dessert ordered an old fashion which was prepared with the right amount of bitters and sweetness that they smoke infused to finish a perfect dinner. Not many places do that anymore. Looking forward to our next visit... Would like to try one of their dry aged Wagu.“

“Breanne? I think that was her name. she was a great waitress! The hostess was very sweet, the food was so good the filet mignon is probably the best steak i’ve ever had. they broil it and serve it on a 500 degree plate. The gentleman at the front didn’t seem too pleased with us when we arrived but changed his tune when he walked past us when we were eating and introduced himself as the new manager.“

“Jerry is the most amazing server ever! Such detail and the ability to do things quickly and adjust the menu to preferance and on top of her skills is a givinging heart. When Someone needed a meal because they didn't have enough money she stepped up and paid for it herself. Now that is Manager quality in fact being an owner of 3 companies I would day she is ownership quality.
Rachel the manager came over and asked about how my service was. Very intelligent and kind person. After taking with her I could see she is Looking out for the business and her servers to make everything as great a experience as possible. Nice job Jerry and Rachel they should be very glad to have you there!“

“It's more than a steakhouse, it's an eclectic place to try whatever Chef Bijan has running through his brain...a twist on a recipe or something new entirely. Excellent food preparation and sourcing. This is all supported by a friendly, intelligent manager and staff that helps you with a drink, food selection, and delivery to your table. Build some friends and memories because you won't be disappointed!“
