“Our first visit but absolutely not our last! What delicious flavors! Everyone loved their desserts, the toppings are incredible (vegan hot fudge, vegan caramel, toasted almonds,) and we all left full and happy! Definitely stop in when you’re in the neighborhood!“

“I showed up, unknowingly, a few minutes after closing time. On finding out that they had just closed, I was about to leave, but the owner, Albert, insisted that I not walk out hungry. He recommended a sandwich, and seated me at a table. I felt taken care of that day.“

“Always enjoy our time!! The best food ever!!!!“
“We were so interested in the menu that we ordered almost everything! Standouts were the del mar taco (battered and fried oyster mushroom) and the elote. Normally elote is way too heavy for me, but the vegan mayo was light and the corn was perfectly grilled. We thought a couple items could have used more salt, but we finished absolutely everything we ordered and were very satisfied.“

“I finally got to try the dishes here and I am not disappointed.
I got the soup and it was just right amount of jalapeños for the spice. I lobe the simplistic it had, but it was still tasty ?
I also tried the island poke dish and it was very delicious as well.
I like how you have options for the rice or a salad base, or both.
Very flavorful and right amount of sauces.
I am looking forward to trying more dishes as time goes by.“

“I recently discovered how much I love Empanadas within the last few years, so I was really stoked when they opened this location. They used to partner with another bakery next-door to the Y in downtown Oakland, so it was really nice to see this spot close by. The chicken empanadas are always my go to, but the Fugazzeta (cheese and onion ) has grown to be my favorite item on the menu! the staff are very friendly and help you figure out what’s for you if you’ve never been or are undecided on what to get. ( and if you have a sweet tooth, they tend to have Alfajores & sweet Empanadas sale as well! )Only downside is that there isn’t much indoor seating which could be a problem if it’s colder out, but this is minor in my opinion. Definitely worth trying if you want some good authentic Argentinian food.
Vegetarian options: they offer great options for both meat, lovers and vegetarians!“

“We had dinner there tonight (3/14/24) for the first time and we will be back. Two of the most interesting and truly delicious sandwiches we have ever eaten. I can't remember what mine was called, but it had chicken (roasted perfectly), sauerkraut, cheese and other awesome stuff on a grilled rye bread that was excellent. My bride had the turkey sandwich and loved it. But the star of the show were the Tater Tots. Perfectly crisp with BBQ sauce to dip them in and then into some wonderful real bacon bits. Every tot stayed crisp from the first to the last. The meal was worth every penny and more. Get into the Alameda location and try it. You won't be sorry. PS: The only bad part for me is that we live in Seattle and won't be back down until May. But you can bet I will be eating here then.“

“Easily, my favorite place to swing by for a breakfast burrito after working out. Cassave is an unassuming place tucked away in a strip mall. They have a nice selection of Mexican and El Salvadorean foods like pupusas. Vegetarians have a couple of options to satiate themselves. Their potatoes are incredible, as is their hot salsa. Enjoy the breezy salsa music while you wait for your food. Highly recommended! Parking is an issue though.“

“The staff is wonderful—alert, courteous, and engaging. However, the litti choka was a bit disappointing. It’s baked rather than grilled over charcoal, which makes it hard to bite into and takes away from the authentic texture. Traditionally, litti should have a firm yet moist bite that comes from slow charcoal roasting—something that was missing here.“

“Points off for rude service. The services talked to my group and I like we were stupid. We simply wanted a soda, we saw all those alcoholic drinks, we didn't want that. My fool of a beat friend gave her a tip anyway. I hope someone else will be working there next time“

“Townhouse is a stylish Californian restaurant offering fresh, flavorful dishes made with quality ingredients. The menu blends creativity with comfort, and the atmosphere is warm and modern. Service is attentive, and the cocktails are excellent. A great spot for a relaxed yet refined dining experience that captures true California vibes.“

“Delicious and explosive flavor vegan hot pot. We got the spicy Sichuan Spicy and Mushroom broths. For the veggies, we bought Fried Beancurd Rolls, Fried Tofu Pods, Pumpkin, Broccoli, Bamboo Shoots. For noodles we had Udon and House Ramen which were both quite tasty. They have a self service sauce bar as well where you get whatever add ins you may need for your broth or extras.
The atmosphere was definitely busy as there were lots of guests but everyone seemed to be getting their food quickly.
Pricing is a bit more on the higher side so be expecting that, but it's definitely worth it!
My top recommendation would be the Sichuan Spicy broth, it is soooo good.“

“The people are awesome, the food is awesome, the menu is huge. The only thing I hate about Ike’s is how few locations they have. They need to be everywhere, on every corner, like Subway.
Vegetarian options: I’m not a vegetarian, but they have plenty of options for vegetarians.“

“Chinatown can be a daunting place to dine in San Francisco due to its vast authentic cuisine which is unlike anything outside of China itself. I don’t speak or read any of the dialect, but somehow managed to order food and drink that was delicious. I’m pretty sure that we created much amusement for the other diners who were rather interested in the ‘foreigners’ selections. Hey, we’re tourists from the UK enjoying our adventures and are used to ridicule thanks to our lousy corrupt government, it was no big deal. Chinatown, great cuisine in very different surroundings. Highly recommended.“

“Weak recommendation. I like the choices but we went in at 1120 am (had been open 20 minutes) and lettuce and guacamole were turning brown. I know it was not the decision of the staff to reuse, they must have been told to do so. I generally like it. Today was disappointing. I’ll pay 30 cents more for today’s lettuce.“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Surprise discovery and a great lunch experience!
My wife and I were headed somewhere else when we spotted Ramen 101 from the road—it looked inviting, so we decided to give it a try. At first, parking was a bit tricky since it’s tucked inside a lot, but we ended up parking right in front—lucky find! A woman greeted us nearby and asked if we could buy her a drink before heading in—it was a bit awkward.
Inside, the place looked sharp—great visuals in the windows and a clean, quiet vibe. The menu offered plenty of appealing options, so we both ordered the spicy beef ramen (but mild) and an order of deep-fried vegetables. The ramen looked as good as it tasted (see the picture)—tender beef, perfectly seasoned broth that wasn’t too spicy, and the veggie tempura was impressive—especially the sweet potato slices, which are my favorite and were a delicious surprise.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the environment was peaceful, so we could enjoy our conversation without noise. The total came in under $65, and it turned out to be a really pleasant, unexpectedly great stop. We’d happily come back!“

“Pizza Amigos makes my favorite pizza in town. The crust is soft and fluffy, and the have the best pepperoni I have ever had. My go to pie is pepperoni and green onion. They make it consistently great every time. The service is always a little slow when we go to pick up our order, but the pizza is well worth the wait, everytime.“

“So good, one of our go to spots. Today they didn’t have birria, but didn’t tell me until I arrived to pick up my order. They also didn’t give me any of the orange salsa. The orange salsa is bomb, their green salsa is very mid. Normally 5 stars. Today was a 2 star day.
Probably going to go a lot less. Very disappointing.“

“This was my first time at this location. I didn't know that it was here until I left a nearby business. I would say that I enjoy Togo's sandwiches the most since they quality and quantity is excellent. I enjoy seeing my sandwich prepared in front of me that way I can request more or less vegetables. The staff is friendly and helpful if you have any questions.“

“We've eaten here almost monthly for the last 4 years. I know it gets busy which is why I made this reservation for my family driving up from San Jose. We arrived at 11:45 for 12:00 res. When we checked in we were given a number as if we didn't have a reservation. The woman at the ‘reception desk' just snarled “very busy day” after we waited, and waited, and waited and were finally seated at 12:45. Why bother to use open table if you're not going to honor your side of the bargain? Once seated we chose 22 dishes from the menu they provided-not like we just showed up for a pot of tea and plate of potstickers stickers. We ordered Jasmine tea but got the regular stuff-meh. The food started arriving and it was very good. You can imagine how quickly it disappeared with 3 teenage boys as part of the group! While the food here is excellent, next time I'll book Peony downtown where the staff is friendly and accommodating to their guests and their food is also great. The restaurant business is part food part service and when one is so glaringly off, it's noticeable, and you wonder if they care if you live locally and might return, or tell your friends. They're not the only game in town.“
