Driving away, on the way to an appointment, and then realizing that your order is wrong is THE WORST. Fortunately, staff was proactive about a resolution. One star docked for the atmosphere because it has a slightly grimy vibe. I’m sitting at a “cleaned” table right now, and it has a coffee stain on it. Plus the communal seating is—well—communal. I’d rather eat in the comfort of my car without the leery eyes of strangers who have food dangling from their overstuffed mouths. 5 stars for the staff: The staff here is super kind.

Oh, one other thing: you can’t pay with a $100 bill. I thought they would surely have change during the lunch rush, but no such luck. Had to go order lunch at Gelson’s that day.“

“Let me begin with the positives such as a clean area to eat outdoor or indoor and the cooking area is clean. The lentil soup is vegetarian and super savory with the dill and seasonings. The soujouk burrito is delicious with great tortillas. Please don't change the tortillas. The green Greek salad is fresh and tasty. The coffee is smooth and perfect warn temperature. The macha was perfect as well. I believe what makes this a place I will come back to are the organic good quality ingredients they use and the attention to flavors. It's important to cook with care. When we came for the first time— they were out of focaccia breads and we had the WLF on baguette— it was fantastic. With the fried shallot, the flavors were well-balanced and found them different than other places.

We came back with the good memories and came back for the second time. The flavors inside of the bread were the same, but the bread— the original recipe— did not find the flavor balance and just sour throughout.

We learned that the original recipe isn’t good, but they don’t offer bread substitution (at least online). Tasting in a way could be just us, but not offering an option is not great. Happily willing to try again.“

The Ultimate Steak Sandwich was loaded with tender, juicy tri-tip, perfectly sautéed peppers and onions, and not one but two kinds of melted cheese all piled onto a toasted sesame roll. The combination of cheeses took it to another level — rich, gooey, and perfectly balanced with the meat and peppers. Every bite had great flavor and the meat was cooked just right. The Don's Chicken Sandwich was equally impressive — crispy, perfectly seasoned chicken topped with fresh avocado and crispy bacon. Not the kind of avocado that's been sitting around either — you could tell it was fresh.
We added fries to both orders and they were exactly what fries should be: crispy, well-seasoned, and not greasy. A great complement to both sandwiches.
The place itself is small and cozy — just a few tables — but the parking is easy which is always a plus. What really stood out though was the owner. He was running the whole operation by himself and somehow kept everything moving quickly and got our food out fresh and hot without any wait.
