“I came to this place with my sister and brother in law after they said this is the best Ramen they've ever had. I believe that now to be an understatement. My first bite of the spicy tonkotsu ramen felt like the heavens were opening. I was not the same person I was before taking that bite. The broth was layered with flavor so good I think my mind short circuited for a second. The pork melted in my mouth. Since we went a week ago I have not been able to stop thinking about this ramen and it lives rent-free in my head 24/7. I wish I could erase it from my mind in order to experience it for the first time all over again.OH we also got some appetizers - the octopus balls, shrimp shu mai and garlic edamame, all of which were fantastic and our server was an angel and the nicest person ever.I'll be dreaming about this ramen for the rest of my life“
“First time coming here, we ordered the kimchi fried rice, beef galbi plate, and grilled shrimp plate - it was all soo delicious! Probably the best kimchi fried rice I've ever had, and it had an overeasy egg! I got it to go but it was quick and made fresh. Will definitely be back!“
“The best ramen in LA!!! I haven't been to any other ramen place since discovering this gem. Literally nothing else compares! They added a couple seats inside and have a lot of seating outside. Even their vegan ramen is amazing which most places can't get right. Can't wait to go back!“
“Make a reservation if you go here! We came on a Saturday afternoon and even though there were tables open they asked us if we had a reservation & when we said no they made us wait which threw us off a little! That being said, it's a gorgeous location and the ramen is amazing. The broth is absolutely divine & love that they gave an abundance of toppings. I will be back!“
“Sweet little takeout soot with pleasing mod interior design & thoughtful touches throughout. We enjoyed the two vegan options and they each had very distinct flavor profiles, the spicy one being quite hot by default but still delicious. Really nice service and kind people. Highly recommend!“
“Cute vibes inside with cool interior! Ramen is light and the noodles are thin so they're a bit different than your typical ramen joint. Soup bases are very light and tangy (idk if that's the right word) and the toppings were fresh. The egg was the perfect consistency! The calamari appetizer was really good! Portions are on the smaller side but very curated I feel. Service is quick and easy as well. They were attentive and quick! I wanted to substitute a few things in my ramen and the server was able to readily ask the kitchen if it was possible so I like that they took the extra step to ask! I'm not sure if they have their own parking lot but I found street parking 2 small streets away!“
“For the price it’s a 10/10 meal!!Service: 10/10Note: make sure to put ur name on wait listWhat I ordered:Scallop sashimi - 10/10, fresh, vibrant flavours.Nigiri sampler- 9/10 very fresh and good quality fish. A little too much rice for me.Burnt garlic ramen- 8/10 I’m more traditional in my flavours. But it’s peoples favourite.Tuna crispy rice 10/10. Can’t complain“
“Exceptional! Awesome little spot with an interesting location. Who knew the bottom of an office building could be so well executed as a restaurant? First, the food was amazing. I had the California roll, the avocado roll, and the cucumber roll. All were good, though I thought the California roll had the crab-to-avocado and cucumber ratio mixed up. Too much crab for my liking. Our service was efficient and friendly, quickly filling us up with water and attending to our needs. I would 100% return!“
“After hearing so much about this place, I had to give it a try! We stopped by here on a Wednesday night around 7 pm. The place itself is really tiny, and doesn't have much seating. It also seems like people mostly do pick-up orders from here. Parking is also a pain. There's valet parking in the plaza area where it's located, which was annoying! Luckily we managed to find street parking not too far off. The service here was extremely slow, and one of the reasons I'm not giving this place 5 stars, and I also thought the fried gyozas were too greasy and over fried. Other than that, the ramen was actually delicious! We ordered the blaze ramen, which was delicious but, not for me because the spice level was too much for me, but other than, it was really tasty! We ended up ordering the churros with icecream for dessert to help with our burning mouth and tongues form how spicy the ramen was. The churros were fried to perfection and went perfectly with the vanilla icecream that came with it. Overall, had a good experience here.“
“It was a marvelous night out to eat. This place is genuinely incredible - sushi, ramen, bowls, apps & everything. Also the vibe is just chill w great service.Anne was my waitress & she steered me in the right direction w/ the salmon bowl that was fuego. Thanks,Ryan“
“Excellent Ramen, Kyushu Style Noodles (thin and not overcooked) The Soup was unexpectedly delicious, inspired to the Tonkotsu Pork Broth. I lived in Japan two years and this the first time I find something so authentic, comparable to the Original Japanese Ramen. Overal Super Recommended!!!“
“Food is good. There are a few veggie choices for vegans. Ttempura vegie dish. We got vegan ramen. One bowl is plenty for 2. The waitress is pretty and very timely. The lighting is what drew us in. We tried to go into other restaurants with extremely white light and felt like we were waiting to be asked 'who dun it?' The lighting and wood walls are warm and comfortable.“
“This was my first time eating here, and I wasn't sure what to order. They let me sample the chicken and the beef birria. It was very good. The meat is tender and they have great prices. When your in town, stop here, you will be happy that you did.Vegetarian options: Beans, rice and they serve ramen. You can customize and leave the meat out if you want. Taco, burrito, and quesadilla You can put avocado beans and rice and cheese.“
“Best Ramen in Silver Lake. The broth is uncious and satisfying. If you have no allergies, get the egg (I add dried seaweed as well). Large servings even at the smaller portion price point. Inside dining is tight, but outside heating does the trick.“
“4/5 stars (Vegetarian here for a plant-based/vegan review):We visited Suehiro Mini in Chinatown after the Chinatown Neighborhood Night Market hosted by CCEDLA in October, but I'm posting this review after learning that Suehiro's Little Tokyo location is facing eviction. Suehiro is a small family run restaurant chain with two generations of history, and the location in Chinatown has a smaller menu and storefront than its other locations. We were seated around 10:30 pm and the store wasn't too busy but it took us around 20 minutes to get our orders in and another 20 for the food to come out. Service is on the slower side so if you're on a time crunch definitely factor that in! There are four vegan options: vegan tomato ramen, vegan mapo don, vegan vegetable udon, and vegan yakisoba. I ordered the vegan tomato ramen. The broth was super thick and flavorful, and topped with fried and battered zucchini, tomato, and eggplants. While the portion sizes are quite large, the broth had a bit of a one note flavor and wasn't able to continue eating after I got through half. They have to-go containers so I was able to bring home the rest and it served as another meal. My friends ordered a Haiyashi Rice and Curry Rice and both really enjoyed their meal too. Their portions seemed even bigger, so if you have a small appetite I recommend sharing! Though service wasn't the quickest, we still enjoyed our meal, and I would love to return to try the other vegan options. If you're in the Chinatown area, try this ramen spot (as well as other small legacy businesses who are being pushed out by wealthier corporations that are actively working on gentrifying Chinatown).“
“Slurpin Ramen Bar delivers a true ramen delight with its deliciously spicy ramen that will be sure to tantalize anyone’s taste buds. The garlic edamame is an absolute treat, leaving you licking your fingers for more! The hospitality from the hosts and waitstaff is exceptional, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. I'll definitely be returning! And for those seeking a satisfying vegetarian option, the veggie ramen is both filling and incredibly tasty. Highly recommended for ramen enthusiasts and food lovers alike!“
“The woman who attended me was amazing!! I really loved the strawberry milk and the pork belly was very delicious. I was just a little disappointed in the egg since it was warm on the outside but really cold in the inside which made me lose my appetite. The noodles also tasted too much like eggs in which I don’t really enjoy. The soup was really good though and again the pork belly tastes amazing!!“
“I’ve been coming here for well over a decade now, and it remains remarkably consistent. The ramen is delicious, the topping choices are vast enough to never run out of potential combinations, the service staff are always friendly and enthusiastic, and the vibe is always bustling with life. The spot continues to thrive for this long for a reason – it’s a definite stop for anyone that enjoys ramen and Japanese food generally.“
“Little hole in the wall. Never new this place existed until I googled sushi places near me. Tried it for the first time. Their sushi is very delicious!! Very good deals too. Buy 2 get 1 free. Super yummy, have lots of flavors. Service was good. Am definitely going back to try more of their deliciousness.“
“I visited Grand Central Market for the very first time and this was the first eatery I decided to go with, I was not disappointed! I ordered the Garlic Ramen & Avocado Toast, both without spice. Originally, I didn't know the avocado toast had spice too but someone was kind enough to call me back over to let me know since they realized I ordered my ramen non-spicy. Already a great service to start! The food was ready quick too, and as soon as I tasted the ramen, I was impressed! It was very flavorful, & I liked all the vegan ingredients they used, portion size was also fair. And the avocado toast, it was nothing like I've ever had before! The 'toast' was these crispy rice cakes, crispy on outside and creamy rice inside, it's quite hard to describe, but it's definitely something unique as others have said, and you'd just have to try for yourself! Ultimately, Ramen Hood was a pleasantly unique experience for me.“
“Solid place, went for a late night bowl and got a ton of food for like $25 - which..for LA, sounds about right.Lose a star on atmosphere for playing exclusively Lana del Rey, and my coke was flat even tho it came from a can. Also got this coke for free for writing this review, so I suppose I shouldnt look a gift drink in the ..bubbles“
“Chibiscus is one of my favorite ramen joints in all of LA because the quality and price can't be beat. Their Tonkotsu is so full of flavor! When ordering takeout, the broth comes separate from the bowl ingredients so you can pour over when you're ready. Even to-go it's some of the best flavor you can find with ramen. Ingredients taste fresh and filling always. Service is pretty on the ball considering ramen can take a bit to prepare. You could sub proteins and ingredients to tailor to your dietary needs which was nice! The inside is relatively small and it's in an unexpected random strip mall, but don't sleep on this one!“
“The restaurant serves delicious food, evident from the Japanese customers who frequent the place. Although they accidentally overlooked one of our dishes, they kindly offered to waive the cost of the potato salad to ensure our satisfaction.“
“One of the best ramen places in town. Excellent choices along with ramen. We tried it for the first time as we were visiting little Tokyo. Although it is not in the village I will highly recommend to anyone visiting this area. Will be going back for some more next time I am visiting.“
“Amazing, authentic ramen in an unassuming strip mall. Reasonable prices for the high quality. Gyoza was perfect ratio of filling to wrapper. We tried a few dishes but the Tantan Men was the winner for me. Broth was layered with flavors between the spice, the flavor oil and the pork. Definitely recommend.“
“I used to eat here often when I worked in Alhambra. I was in the area and decided to eat dinner with my daughter here. The ramen was just as good as I remember. I have recommended this restaurant to many friends over the years and I'm happy the quality of their food is still very good!I wish I could've met Akiko and her mom to complete my trip down memory lane.“
“I love the ramen at Jidaya, especially their tonkotsu - it’s thick, rich and tasty. They’re very consistent, too. But to be honest, I thought about giving it 2 star so it doesn’t get too busy but post pandemic, everyone restaurant could use the business.“
“This place sure is great. I got the OG plate and everything is so jam packed with flavor there is no need for the salsa although still very tasty. The birria is so tender it almost melts in your mouth. Also the churros are probably the best I’ve ever had with a crunchy fried golden brown exterior and tender almost gooey interior. My only issue is that everything is so small but I guess that’s just California Mexican cuisine.“
“We lived upstairs from this place for a while and we still miss it. The food is great, service is quick, and we ate there a lot. Fresh wasabi, great rolls, good appetizers. Last time we were there we came in at the end of the night and they graciously served us right before closing, everything was delicious. We really miss just getting a shrimp tempura after work at the Pantages.“
“So I have ordered Takeout & Dined In before countless times due to the food and customer service being absolutely AMAZING & DELICIOUS! Each time I order, I'm never disappointed by the quality of the food. Also, packaging for takeout is perfect it never spills! I love this Ramen spot a lot and noticed I never wrote a review so it was time to do so. <3“
“This is one of the best Asian foods I have ever had. Amazing services, they really made me feel at home. The soup and dumplings I ordered were amazing ? ? I definitely recommend this restaurant.Vegetarian options: Great optionsParking: Plenty spaces for parking, no issues finding a spotKid-friendliness: Good for the family and KiddosWheelchair accessibility: They do have that service“
“A very solid sushi spot in Monterey Park with a great selection of sushi and rolls.I ordered their salmon burrito, green onion sesame chicken, soft shell crab & the Kaiba roll. The salmon burrito was way bigger than I thought and can probably feed two people. The salmon tasted fresh and it was overall solid entree. The sesame chicken was crispy and delicious. I tried it with the tempura sauce and it took it to the next level. The soft shell crab was also delicious and flavorful. Their signature roll was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall the lunch was very good and satisfying.Customer service was excellent and I’d definitely come back to this spot again to try their other menu items. Parking can be tough during peak times.“
“I wanted ramen but didn’t want to drive too far so I looked up ramen near me. Decided to give this place a try and I was impressed! Spicy tonkotsu ramen was so good! As well as the crunch roll. It’s always the low key places that have amazing food!“
“Really great sushi restaurant… we eat sushi a lot and this is high quality, yet reasonably priced. Very cosy inside, service was excellent & particular favourites were the Seared Salmon, Spicy Tuna (no.2) and the Lauren Roll. Highly recommend!“
“My party of 4 had a blast at Umaya LA! We came on a late Saturday evening and had a reservation on Open Table (they require a $15 per person deposit when reserving; this deposit goes toward your final bill). We attempted to call the restaurant but was unable to get a representative on the phone, but understandably they are probably very busy! We drove to the restaurant anyway and KTown always has difficult parking, but luckily Umaya has a valet service (we were very happy with this especially with the rain)! The valet were respectful and courteous and handled the car well. Right as we were parking, we actually got a call from the manager of Umaya and he was very very kind to still accommodate our reservation despite being very late. We were seated promptly and the server was very kind, patient, and attentive. We loved the ambiance of the place. The music was great, the decor was beautiful and really set a dim, chill atmosphere. Most of us ordered from the omakase menu (Tsuki to be exact), and we all really enjoyed not only the service of the omakase, but the taste of each dish was incredible with high quality, fresh fish and the presentation was beautiful! There were 3-4 sushi chefs working so the service was quick! We were always eating which was appreciated as it was a late dinner. I will definitely come back to try another omakase menu item or even their lunch omakase, which looks fun!“
“Koreans must go here!!The owner's wife is Korean and she is very kind.I had tonkotsu ramen and Asahi salmon roll and it was really delicious. I went there without a plan, but it was a great success, and since I was traveling, they gave me a lot of useful tips!!If you ask for the avocado to be omitted from the roll, it will be omitted, and in general, I think you can customize the roll to your liking! It's a short walk from Ovation Hollywood, so I highly recommend it if you want to eat warm soup..??“
“I wanted to go to Hachioji Ramen, but I didn't have anything to do in Hachioji.I never expected that Los Angeles would be used to collect foreshadowing.Mazesoba has a very strong taste.Hachioji Ramen is the classic ramen. The refreshing taste is accented with crunchy onions. The mini yakiniku bowl combo is also delicious!“
“I ordered the strayberry matcha latte(medium), the regular matcha latte(medium and large), kaarage, takoyaki, spicy tuna roll, tori soboro and a spicy mild tonkatsu. The meal came out really quickly and the food was delicious. I was suprised that the hard boiled egg was thinly sliced than into 2 parts. It wasn't busy at all and a pretty decent space to move around. Theres also outside seating as well as indoor ones. The kitchen is right in the open area and isnt closed off so you can see all the prep and food. The drinks had different milk options, I chose soy milk. In total before tip it was $78. They also had different merch like tote bags, t-shirts and more. I was tempted to get the desserts, but was unfortunately too full to try them.Wheelchair accessibility: Theres no 2nd floor so everything is ground level.“
“Amazing service! The pork katsu curry came out as soon as I ordered it. The curry was really good and the price was just right. They have several options for lunch and good lunch combinations that are worth ordering. I wish I could upgrade the curry from their lunch combo to the katsu curry. Would recommend going here if you're in the little Tokyo area!“
“This Umemura ramen is very busy too crowded in the afternoon especially weekends. Open everyday closed on Tuesdays. I enjoy eating kanitama fried rice & chashu ramen. The table & the counter is nice, clean & convenient. The service & the atmosphere is great. This Gardena location wins. Japanese, many Asian, Hispanic & American people visit frequently. 100% recommended. Unfortunately nor credit or debit cards aren’t accepted. CASH ONLY.“
“This place is definitely worth the drive to Lincoln Heights. The food is reasonably priced, well seasoned, and nice portions. I've had the tofu bowl more times than I care to admit. Highly recommend. There is indoor and outdoor sitting available.“
“Delicious food I tried the beef ramen it is tasty has good flavor and spice and good beef and I also tried the chicken bowle it was well made and good taste ..also the horchata is well made delicious and the service there is awesome the 2 cashier girls there are always kind and the cook is also a good person and as well the owner has a great attitude ?“
“Hello my Yelpies,IF YOU WANT AUTHENTIC POKE? YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE. I've been searching long and hard for an authentic Hawaiian poke bowl for the longest time. I am looking for something that is just fish and sauce, i don't want all the unnecessary items, like peas, crab meat, etc. If you are like me than Pisces is the place to go. Parking here isn't too much of a headache, there's plenty of spots right in front. And you know it, I came here for one thing and one thing only. POKE! I must say if you like spicy you have to try their ALWAYS SPICY. That is definitely my go to order. It comes with delicious chewy rice along with some edamame and if I'm feeling a little extra I will order their masubi which are both bomb af!!! Service is great as well! I can't wait to come back again. Overall, 5 stars for food and service.“
“From March 2024:Went here with my family for dinner. We ate in the to-go side instead of waiting for a seat in the more aesthetic dine-in side. I value eating sooner more than waiting outside in DTLA.We had a mix of ramen and rice dishes and all of it was good enough to eat till you burst. Bigger portions so you can easily take home leftovers. The staff was nice and food was prepared rather fast.A cozy place to take some friends for delicious, filling ramen.“
“Good stuff here, always consistent quality, great service and the soul is truly well done. Deep bone broth flavors brings out the best in the ramen. I wish there's more meat for what you pay but still excellent for what it is. There's not that many seats here and all parties must be present in order to be seated. So get in line and be patient“
“Such a nice cozy ramen bar! I got to try their tonkatsu ramen and it was fantastic! If you get it during Hoppy Hour, it’s 2 ramen for 22 bucks which is neat. Will definitely come back to try their “Heartattack” ramen because I love their chashu.“
“Solid ramen spot in South Pasadena, great, attentive, chill service on a stormof a Sunday, served food nearly after I placed my order, reasonable prices for portions given, generous on your chashu pork & kimchi for kimchi ramen, appreciate they saved me from overeating & just took the small portion of food I wasn’t able to finish. Broth & noodles were warm with good texture on the noodles. Didn’t even ask for a tip, pleasant surprise beyond the meal before I took off. Ambiance is definitely relaxed and they maintain a clean restroom if you need to use it of course. -would give business again“
“I'm not sure what the low ratings are about. It may not be the trendiest place, but it sure is a solid go-to for no frills, yummy ramen. The space is small and connected to a karaoke bar; some of the sound gets through. Value is their selling point. $9 gets you a satiating bowl of ramen while paying $3 more still gets you a heftyyyy size. The Kotteri Shoyu ramen was flavorful and the noodles were well-cooked. The only thing I would dock a star for is the chashu seeming a little dry or overdone for my liking, but that wouldn't be enough to stop me from coming back though. Service was quick. We were in and out in 20 min!“
“Been to the one in sawtelle before but it was my first time at this location -- the food was great as always. Loved the spicy tonkotsu ramen I had. The sides were available as an add on at $2.50 each. There wasn't too much of a wait as groups come and go fairly quickly. The service was friendly and the Japanese music gave the place a nice vibe.“
“This place has the best pho in the area handsThe customer service is dopeThe owner is always very welcoming and his recommendations always hit the spotThere’s endless veggies for your phoI love this place always but best for rainy daysI definitely recommend this spotParking: There’s street parking and public parking lots in the behind areas of pacific , how everI’ve always found street parking right up front of the spot or within a couple of feetKid-friendliness: Yes it’s kid friendlyThe owner is very friendly and accommodating“
