“One of the better pizza places in SF. We ordered the spicy grandma pizza (4/5) and the cheese garlic bread (3/5). Just FYI - the garlic bread has full garlic cloves ?.Parking is a bit difficult to find depending on when you go. Also, I don't think they have a reservation system. You just need to add yourself to the wait-list online probably 30 mins before you plan to go there. Really recommend you get added to the wait-list else the wait times can be really long.Although the pizza was a bit expensive, it was tasty and I definitely plan to come back to taste the other items on the menu.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options to choose from.“
“One of the most affordable yet delicious pizza in town. Other than simple pizza like pepperoni or combo, they have clam and garlic, which is quite unique. It is a square style pizza so it is a quick thick and filling. Well, if you are hungry, please get two! The staff is quick and attentive as well.“
“The baguette and croissant are truly wonderful. I'm also a big fan of the big breads and loafs, even though their Miche is too often times overcooked. That's too bad. The service is really nice, but incredibly slow, even when the bakery is packed with clients. They would never survive an impatient French crowd! And I really , REALLY wish they had a slicer. Please, can you guys get a slicer? I'd really be willing to pay extra $ for a sliced bread and not having to do it myself.“
“Hands down the best pizza place I've had in SF. The service here is amazing and the pizza reminds me of NY, pretty comparable to slice of NY in South Bay too. One of the workers, who I think is the owner is super friendly and generous. Even though it's in the TL it's kind of on the outskirts near Bill Graham and Civic Center so it's not super sketchy coming here. Slices are thin crust and come out super crispy when they serve them.“
“Fantastic gluten free crust, the vegan cheese was pretty good, perfect amount of sauce. I was hoping for a little more volume of the toppings (I got sausage & green olives), but I know food costs are way up. Overall a really great GF pizza experience.“
“Hands down, literally the best dinner I've ever had! From the wine, to Bruschetta appetizer, to meat canneloni and the best tirimissu I've ever had. I'm remember this dinner for a long time! The service was unbeatable as well.. hidden gem!“
“Laura is amazing! She is on the World Pizza Champions team! We tried the La Regina pizza - the award winner - and it was amazing. New York style crust was perfect and crispy and the toppings were delicious. Great service and the atmosphere in the restaurant is bright and fun. Definitely going back to try more of the “
“So far, so very tasty! I've tried a few different pizzas at this point and they've all be great. The Tikka masala pizza is fantastic, love the flavor! Definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for comfort food in a hurry :)Haven't been inside yet, so I can't speak to service or atmosphere. Always tasty though!Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options, which is always much appreciated!“
“My husband and I really liked it here, came accross it post discovering the bay. We'd walked miles, and fancied some pizza! We chose well. It's a really lovely place, plenty of seating snd they accommodate us walking in on a busy night. The aesthetic is special. All the staff were really great. We had a mix of pizza, with some extra toppings, mozarella sticks and olives. If there's one thing you need, it's the insanely cheesy mozarella sticks! Don't eat here without them.Pizza was really good, crispy and flavoursome. The price is fine considering location, and portion sizes. Would recommend going here!“
“the pizza was to die for, absolutely loved the sauce on the margarita! highly recommend the cauliflower as well. Only negative was that we went on a very crowded friday evening (with reservations) and the service wasn't the best, and it was extremely loud inside the restaurant“
“First time I had Lucia's pizza was at their pop up at the Grand Lake farmers market in oakland, and completely fell in love with the 4 cheese pizza! Decided to try the restaurant a couple of months ago and the didn't disappoint! Pizza was delicious and staff were super nice and friendly! Totally recommend them if you're looking to have a legit Italian pizza experience!“
“i came here on a friday evening with a friend around 5:45 pm. there was no line so we were seated immediately. when we left an hour later, there was a line. we came during restaurant week and they were doing a $45/person dinner menu, but i opted to just order from the regular menu since i wasn't a big fan of the appetizer options and really wanted to try the bucatini, which wasn't on the restaurant week menu. when our food arrived, the portions seemed slightly on the smaller side so in retrospect i felt like it would've been nice to get an appetizer to share, but none of the appetizer options were that appealing to me. i like burrata but it came with mushrooms and i don't like mushrooms (this is just a personal preference, though). even though the portions were small, i wasn't hungry but i also wasn't full, which left plenty of room for dessert. we ordered the nutella sundae - it felt a bit much for 2 people (3 is probably a better number), and there was a LOT of syrup. as for the ambiance, the biggest impression i got was that the music was pretty loud. this made the atmosphere not conducive to intimate conversations, so i would mostly go here if i wanted a fast dinner at an early time. otherwise, i feel that the atmosphere is not worth the wait.“
“First time eating a deep dish chicago-style pizza as it's my first time in the US, and this was something else. Very nice, definitely different than a good old Napoletana I am used to :) the thin crust pizza was also very nice! For the two of us (one adult man and one woman), we've ordered a 10" thin crust pizza and an 8" deep dish pie (old Chicago style), and it was more than enough for us. The full-sized deep dish pie looked huge so I'm glad we didn't order it! It seemed like it would fill 4 adult men.“
“After 20 years later my husband and I back to enjoy the pizza, a bottle of wine , espresso coffee and they delicious Tiramisu OMG this restaurant sill with the best food and the best service, a Italian gentleman and a Yucatán gentleman make us totally happy with our meal.????“
“Wow, this place does not disappoint - so good! I've been a few times and tried many different pizzas. I appreciate that they offer different kinds of pizzas, so there's something for everyone. For me, the most memorable one was the Chopped Cheese Detroit - a Detroit-style pizza that really tastes like a McDonald's cheeseburger - I don't know how they managed that! It's such a unique flavor and something you probably won't find anywhere else. The Fried Cheese Curds are also a must - perfectly crispy and melty cheese! The space is casual and easygoing. The service has always been attentive and friendly. I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone who loves pizza, especially unique-tasting pies.“
“This was a life-changing dining experience - and so wonderful that our group went two nights in a row! The menu was authentic, extensive, fairly priced, and everything we ordered was phenomenal. The service was the best I've ever had. (Pro tip: ask for Charles!) The setting was intimate and cozy - exactly what we were looking for after a long day in the city.Don't pass on Fino. It will be one of the best meals of your life!“
“Get here early. A line has almost always formed and for good reason. They almost always have a nice band playing as well which is extremely pleasant. There is oftentimes a random uh, guy but it is what it is(iykyk). Lovely little parklet as well when the weather is clear. The pizza’s toppings also always changes so don’t expect to be getting the same thing twice but they have yet to disappoint the few times I’ve treated myself to a pie. Strictly vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian friendly. Gluten free unknown. Vegan probably not??“
“I was a huge fan of Delirama, my absolute favorite sandwich was the Delirama Mama, so I was sad to hear the owner was going to pivot in a new direction. I prefer take out to dining in, so I waited for that to be an option, and put my order in today. I got a fried chicken sandwich and the pastrami Reuben, both with chips. The menu says a small salad is served with the sandwiches. The fried chicken sandwich is HUGE and delicious. I prefer my fried chicken to be a little on the dark side, which this was. I only wished there were more pickles, but that's because if I could subsist on pickles I would. The Reuben was the same as the Delirama one. My husband was bummed it was "so small," but that's because I used to get the biggest sandwich option and this one is the regular sized one.The chips were yummy, and still warm from the fryer by the time I got home. Or had just taken on some of the radiant heat from my sandwich. Either way, delightful. The salad is not small, it is quite generous in size. The dressing is a little sweet and a lot acidic, which I really enjoyed. My one complaint is that it was overdressed for me, but I prefer the minimum amount of dressing.I gave the atmosphere 4 stars because it was a bit dark inside for me.“
“I liked Za a lot - they have a new york style pie (so, thin) and a cornmeal crust. You have to like that sort of thing, and know how to eat it - newbs let it cut their mouth and cry about it. Don't do that, don't be a newb. The owner was named Buzz, I went their for a lunch slice. Very friendly and toppings came through / weren't overwhelmed by the sauce. Nice neighborhood spot.“
“My favorite bakery in the bay!! Glad to see they've expanded to other locations outside of SF. Really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but the pizza of the day is a must. Scones are a close second. Despite being very busy, we were still able to get a table to eat.Vegetarian options: They label the difference between vegetarian and vegan options very clearly.“
“Excellent food, staff and service. They have a strong wine list, very interesting salads and pizza options. The decor is interesting and old school like from a 60s or 70s movie. The pizzas are named after neighborhoods in Rome. The street it is on is a bit sketchy but once inside it is really cool.Vegetarian options: Salads and many pizzas“
“My boo took me here as a surprise after work. I love the 80s pizza place vibe of the place and the cool artwork on the walls. We ordered the carne pizza and salad. Yummy, yummy deep dish pizza and arugula salad that we substituted for spring mix because they were out of arugula. Would come back again!Parking: Street parking“
“The restaurant is quite a tight space, and they probably serve around 500 pizzas during weekend dinner rush. Though it was packed, the staff is quick. DELICIOUS truffle pasta, decadent pistachio ricotta pizza. Absolutely in love. We didn't talk at all while we ate, just devoured. Order a wine to shorten the wait and dilute the noises.“
“I’m a meat-on-pizza person, but I never miss the meat from Dimond Slice. Their pizza menu is limited to two vegetarian pizza options. They offer one “Pizza of the Day” (it has always been delicious), a plain cheese pizza, and I believe vegan cheese options for those.Service is quick and friendly. They are generous with their sauce and they always offer to double slice the cheese pizza to make it easier for the kiddos to eat.I have not had their salads or guacamole, so I can’t comment on that.I recommend Dimond Slice!Vegetarian options: The menu is all vegetarian (not vegan) and there is always one vegan option.Parking: While the parking lot is not very large, I have always found a parking spot. The lot is behind the restaurant accessed from Fruitvale.Kid-friendliness: I can’t speak for dine-in kid friendliness as we always take the pizza home. I will say that my kids love their chalkboard wall; which keeps them occupied while we pick up our take-out order.“
“I LOVE this place, so nice to have it right around the corner from me. The Barotti Boys ( as I call them ) have great service. I think the pizza is Roma Style? Its all so good. High quality ingredients. I recommend going for the appertivo special!“
“Great margherita pizza and cold beer. This restaurant has a large dinning area, outside patio and a good size bar.The pizza I ordered was great, good undercarriage, flavorful and still affordable. The bar has a good selection of beer and wine. I decided to pair my pizza with a craft pint and it didn’t disappoint.“
“This place is AMAZING and at such a good price. We had the Achari chicken pizza and it was incredibly good - you can choose spice level and halal/no halal. The owners/workers are super super nice and there are games set up (Carom, chess, board games etc.) Highly recommend!!!“
“I really enjoyed Back to Back. The food was great, and the service better. Our server was engaging and fun. The only note is that it was pretty crammed in the little restaurant. I commend the servers for being able to maneuver around the close-set tables.“
“I wound up here on a lark after a dr's appt with my kid. And it's the best random decision we've made recently! Turns out the owner is changing it from just a bakery/pizzeria into that plus shawarma and a little grocery store! We of course got a pizza for lunch and he was so kind as to give us a sample of the Turkish delight which was so good I bought several other things. A couple of tables inside and out means there is still seating! I will absolutely return when the new foods come in. The name is about to change as well, so hopefully he doesn't lose all these wonderful reviews!Parking: It's an assuming corner so there were spots available.Wheelchair accessibility: The store is at the corner and has a level entry and corner ramp access.“
“Did a lunch take out today & it was so delicious! They said it would be 15 mins and it was exactly 15 mins! Walked it back to the office & it was still SO delicious upon arrival. This place is it. Maybe some of the best pizza I’ve ever had… and I’ve had a lot of pizza.“
“Literally the best pizza I’ve had outside of Italy. Place looks spare, but the food is first class. Salads are as good as it gets. Derick is owner/chef, having come from a Michelin restaurant in SF, he knows what he’s doing. You will not be disappointed !“
“We had a DELIGHTFUL dinner here. We had the beef dish, the catch of the day, broccoli rabe and vegetarian platter with grilled zucchini, eggplant, red pepper, artichokes and mushrooms. The setting was lovely with art on the walls and italian music -- was it an opera?!? on the stereo. Good service, great meal. Enjoyed by all.“
“I was in the city for a conference and didn't have time to eat, but SF pizza saved me, it was easy and fast to pickup. Loved the place, environment and service. The pesto and tomato pizza was GREAT! I like to keep my pizza simple with good ingredients, if you are like me, definitely give it a try. ?“
“Pizza was amazing. I've had chicago style pizza before and this is similar. The crust was a great crunch and toppings were fresh. The best part was the sauce, just order ahead because the pizza takes 15-30min to make just depends on what you order. Also if you get the deep dish one slice is equally the same as 2 regular slices.“
“Piccolo Forno is our go-to Italian gem in San Francisco! Every visit feels like a culinary adventure, with phenomenal service and a staff that goes above and beyond. The food is simply divine, showcasing the freshest ingredients and flavors that transport you straight to Italy. And even our furry friend approves—the meatballs were a hit with our dog! Piccolo Forno truly is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine in the city.“
“As a pizza connoisseur, when I heard about Roman style pizza, 'pinsa', with a different dough, I was immediately curious. As they note on their website, pinsa dough is made from a combination of soy flour, rice flour, and wheat flour, creating a crust that is light yet crunchy and satisfying. We ordered the Formaggio di Capra e Spinaci for some greens to go with, and then got the Quattro Formaggi and Prosciutto e Fichi for our pinsas.I find salads from pizza places to be very hit or miss; and Gusto Pinsa's salad was certainly a hit. The salad was perfectly dressed - it had a ton of flavor with the dressing, tomatoes, goat cheese, cranberries and walnuts coming together to provide an interesting textural contrast, with a nice hit of black pepper. The pinsas were the star of the meal though, as expected. Although I'm not the biggest fan of cheese only pizzas, the Quattro Formaggi was excellent! It was super cheesy and salty (in the perfect way), and the splotches of sauce provided nice balance to the saltiness of the cheese. The Prosciutto e Fichi was the preferred pinsa by myself and my partner, with the prosciutto and fig glaze providing a nice saltiness and sweetness that contrasted very well with the Quattro Formaggi. If you haven't tried Roman style pinsa yet, what are you waiting for? These pinsas were delicious and somehow felt much lighter than eating a regular pizza. We will be back!“
“A relative newcomer to the pizza scene, Omar and his staff, are rocking a truly super slice. I was skeptical at first when I was charged $8 for a slice, until I realized that these slices are twice the size of ordinary slices, and they taste really good. The dough recipe here falls somewhere between California and New York pizza, with a hearty wheat flavor that stands up to the sauce and cheese. Think if you crossed the cheese board with Arinell's. Located in the former location of armadillo Pizza, in this Asian mini mall, Super Slice also has assemble-it-yourself model where you build your own pizza, and salads with fresh vegetables and greens, and an ice cream cooler with Ben and Jerry's, Haagen Dass, and moreWhat's not to love? Giant slices, great pizza, cool people, good prices, and a convenient location.I super recommend Super Slice Pizza.“
“A little on the pricey side but a great treat. I placed an order for a whole quiche. It was a great. Picking up my order took a long time. There were 3 people ahead of me and it literally took close to 5 minutes per person. I wish there was a separate line to pick up an order or that there was more staffing to help customers faster. It was worth the wait though.“
“Got to try the famous sliver pizza! The pizza of the day was the tomato mozzarella but I really wanted the corn pizza so we ordered a whole pie! This location is great because you can order pies of the other popular flavors The corn pizza was so unique! I loved adding the lime to the pizza which helped cut the saltiness for me. I wish the corn on the pizza was a bit sweeter but overall this pizza was delicious! I didn't like adding the green sauce to this though because it would over power the flavor of the pizza The cashier then offered us two free slivers of the pizza of the day so we got to try the tomato mozzarella! This was okay and tasted like a margarita pizza if anything Overall great experience“
“The food is fun and delicious! Tikka Masala on pizza is new to me and now I want to continue to seek it out. The Momos were also very tasty. My salad was very fresh as well. Neighborhood pocket feel for dine-in.Vegetarian options: At least half their items were vegetarian.“
“I first came to Tommaso's in 1966 when a student at San Francisco State. Does anyone remember the SF Opera chorus lining the center table and singing? Or the drag queens from Finnochios? There was always a can of AquaNet in the men's restroom. What a great place!“
“Another offshoot of the original sliver, another pizzeria bearing the DNA of Arizmendi And cheese board pizza from Berkeley.Wasn't a huge fan of today's pineapple option, but the pizza made it bearable. I did notice that this pizza was kind of chewy, and didn't have the crispy bottom that it does at some of the other stores, but they're still getting things ironed out I guess. As usual the people that work there were really kind, Aunt I really like the cozy Booth layout of this particular Montclair location. It also doesn't offend me that there's a gelato bar in this pizzeria.Definitely glad that there's a place to get a slice in Montclair, and the fact that it is next to a Pete's coffee makes it even better. Coffee and pizza is the ultimate power lunch for summertime. Also at two slices for under $10 and that includes a tip is a great deal these days.“
“I like saucy pizza, which is why I like Heshers. We were first introduced to the pizza when we used to come to crooked city cider. Now heshers has taken over the whole building in a prime area of Jack London Square. We came at opening time, 12 PM on a rainy Saturday for a friends birthday. Because it is a rainy weekend we had to change our outdoor plans and this is a great location for a large group with dogs who can hang out indoors. Also great because you order at the counter and don't have to deal with a group check mess. We ordered our drinks at the counter, and some people who were able to try small tastings if they were unsure of what to order. Pizza was ordered at the window in the corner and brought out to us according to our numbers. The staff was accommodating to our large group, and we were the only ones there until a Meetup took over the other half of the restaurant with their boardgames. There are also tons of boardgames in the cabinet that you can play and pinball machines in their own separate area, along with the pool table. Great place to keep entertained while enjoying your pizza, beer, wine, cider, kombucha, or nonalcoholic beverage. There is a water station right behind the cashier. There are two unisex restrooms, straight back. They have the little locks that tell you if they are in use or vacant, which is very helpful. They also do some heavy metal concerts here, which my husband was very excited about when he saw the listings for them. While we were there, the music was not very loud so we were able to chat freely. There are metered parking, free parking streets, or it is a walk down from 12th St. BART. They used to have a free Broadway shuttle, I'm not sure if that's still exists Join their social media pages and you'll be informed of special events, concerts, trivia, bingo, and what not. Our vegan friend is very happy that they have a vegan pizza option here. There is something for everyone! You can help bus your tables by taking empty glasses to the front and the rest of the trash area. There are benches in the front that you can hang out at if it's a nice day out.“
“Okay I only stopped in a few shots and a couple glasses of wine deep for a slice of pizza late night but honestly that slice hit so hard, delicious with a nice oily gristle to it and the perfect size to fold in half and go to town. The guys working here were friendly too. Thanks “
“Last time I had a Pilsner and the wings outside next to the fireplace. Fall-off-the-bone delicious. There's a fountain., covered tables even nice in the rain. This time I had another crisp, delicious Pilsner and BBQ Pork Riblets in their Porter BBQ sauce. Absolutely delicious and nice sized portions. My favorite spot in Berkeley so far!“
“My favorite out of all the pizza places on Polk st. and there's a lot of them. I actually like the slices better when they're not as fresh, and gets reheated (crisper crust) ?♀️ but good either way. Guy up front is super chill.“
“Battling a serious case of the Mondays and the post St. Paddy's day blues, I had been craving a burger for hours when I remembered I get to pass this San Francisco staple on the walk home. Sam, his son, and the chef's have been grilling up American style cheese burgers over a flame grill in this hole in the wall for nearly 60 years. Their classic recipe is the epitome of if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Served on a paper plate with all the fixins, this not a fancy grommet-style meal, and there's no secret ingredient that keeps people coming back for more. It's the back to basics deliciousness paired with the old style feel of diners of the past. Staffed by only one or two people at a time, they're flipping burgers and making them consistently amazing and quick. Sam's hit the spot and 100% satiated my craving. They're open late on the weekends, so I'm looking forward to popping in again soon to round off a night out.“
“Far and away the best food in Crockett and damn near the whole Bay Area. The customer service is great and the employee always has a smile on his face and is very easygoing. Fouseytube lookin guy haha but seriously if you haven’t tried it,try it. You will not regret it.“
“Had their corned beef and hash breakfast, and was blessed to talk with the owner about the process of selling my car down the street to Carvana. The folks in this industrial park are missing out on great food at an excellent price if they haven't stopped by yet. Thank you again for the chat Victor.“
“Excellent pizza, cute atmosphere, and good service. The Neopolitan pizza (i.e., The Benchmark) was excellent as was the caesar salad. Been here twice — the first time the pizza crust was a bit hard, so I wish they would make it fluffier Italian-style, but the second time it was more on-point. Would go again!“
