“They do a very good job of creating “sushi” dishes to vegan acceptable options. My family really enjoyed the food as did I. And as others have mentioned the restaurant could do better in terms of atmosphere the tables by the window are ok but anything near the entrance sucks.“

“Highly recommend! Excellent food and great service. Be sure to try the salt & pepper soft-shelled crab, braised pork belly, sweet & sour pork, BBQ pork, shrimp & chives, and the sesame balls. Everything comes out fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious.“

“The usual wait time is 20-30mins always but if you go solo or as a group of 2 then wait time is ~10mins. I got the classic I think it was a solid choice but the lamb one because of the broth was so much better.

“Not a huge fan of the seating layout. I sat on the left side to avoid the loud chatter of people but that meant being on a hard bench with uninteresting decor. Empanadas were wonderful, the ceviche with coconut milk was a pleasant surprise. I wanted to try the arepa but it seemed like the portion was tiny. The chicharron was very flavorful!“

“My daughter took me and the hubby here for our Thanksgiving celebration since she couldn't come home (Sac) for actual Thanksgiving, we went to her. This was a night I won't soon forget! Having a nice meal with our daughter was a treat, the service was amazing and the food....OMG! Every bite of every dish I tasted was so so delicious! I can't get the butternut soup out of my head it was THAT good! We all ordered different food & shared bites with one another. This night was so enjoyable! Thank you, Sis & Thank you Mama Oakland!“

I have that terrible cilantro gene, and the proprietor took time to think through the menu and let me know what never had cilantro and where it was easy to take out, and was all around kind and personable. “Wonderful restaurant, Absolutely outstanding experience! This Chinese roast duck restaurant delivers perfection in every detail. The duck is incredibly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and carved with impressive skill right at the table. The flavors are rich but never greasy, and the accompanying pancakes, scallions, and sauces are all beautifully balanced.
The service is warm, attentive, and efficient, and the staff make you feel truly welcome. The atmosphere is elegant yet comfortable—perfect for both family gatherings and special occasions.“

Bettenjan bi tahina: So flavorful! Loved all the sauces, and the dish came together beautifully — healthy food with great presentation.
The not-so-good:
Portion sizes were quite small, so we left feeling a bit unsatisfied.
The sumac spritz tasted mostly like sugar water with barely any other flavor.
Overall, a nice place if you’re looking for healthy options, though it would be great to see some chicken kebabs for non-vegetarians and falafel choices for vegetarians.“

“This was the BEST food I've had in years. I sat there and literally closed my eyes so I could savor the experience and feel ever morsel move through my body. We had the Richmond Roll and the Pink Lady. The vegetarian options are so delicious that I am going to go back over and over again just to try everything on the menu. I literally stopped my conversation because I was having such a spiritual experience with the food. I could not focus on anything other than enjoying it. The customer service was incredible. The staff was so friendly and kind. The presentation of the dishes is immaculate. I felt like I was getting a Michelin star quality meal.
Please go try this. It's so good and so worth the money. I am in awe. ?“
