“Dude absolutely freaking delicious. This is my 3rd time coming to this place. And every time I come, I am craving the cocktail with shrimp and octopus. It taste so fresh and so home made.

The place is always crowed with people ordering. It's a small establishment, but very well organized, super clean and with air conditioning on which keeps it cool inside. Next time, I am going to try the shrimp tacos, as many order them.“

“This was a great spot for Mexican seafood & molcajete. The tostada flight platter was great to try all the types of ceviche. Our favorite was the fish and shrimp ceviche. The octopus was decent too. The molcajete was the surprising favorite. The asada was grilled well and flavorful, the shrimp were great, the chicken was tender and juicy and soft, the chorizo was good and the broth was very good. The cactus and cheese and green onions were also excellent.

The servers sat us and gave us complimentary chips and salsa which was decent. They were very attentive and friendly. The margaritas we got were fruity and sweet but also decent alcohol. I liked my strawberry margarita.

The atmosphere is very chill and homely and lively. Seems like large groups come here to eat and drink.“

“What a fantastic dining experience! We were so well taken care of, and the food was amazeballs! Definitely top of my list as my new favorite seafood restaurant. Elijah, the bartender was awesome and Katie went out of the way to make sure we had a lovely time. What an evening… I highly recommend this place.“

“The fish bar is in a great location the bartender Rose makes amazing drinks she friendly & attentive. She knows you by name. The food was great atmosphere is relaxed all the staff treats you like family. Highly recommend!“

“The food was very good. I dined solo and had chicken liver mousse, the yellowtail crudo, the peach and tomato burrata salad, and the crab cake. The mousse was rich and interestingly paired with pickled blackberries and honeycomb. The crudo was delicious with the refreshing citrus. The salad too felt very fresh and like I was holding on to late summer. The crab cake was good, the sauce had a nice balance of spice and sweetness, it was very salty which is not unexpected with crab. The service was kind and attentive. I was very pleased with my experience and would return again if I'm back in Santa Monica.“

“Always a lot of fun coming to my favourite crab boil spot. It is an iykyk location but so worth it. Nicole is always our go to very friendly, very accommodating and very funny. The only other crab boil I have been to is the boiling crab and I can easily say this is a much much better choice for not only being healthier and better tasting but for the service being superior too.“

“Excellent service, amazing lobster 🦞 with crab rice. I just wish I was given the prices before agreeing on the upgrade. I ordered a family for 2 and CJ server offered to make it 3ppl. I was kinda surprised with my bills and how the restaurant dictate the gratuity %….Overall, I love dining in this restaurant because we were welcome and were given a great and warm reception. Thank you to the staff who made us feel special especially to CJ she was amazing. Indeed, the most expensive meal I have eaten lol it’s worth it.“

“The food was absolutely delicious. The service on the other hand needs improvement One in our party of 4 had their drink served 20 min after the rest. It was a martini but came with no olives when olives were asked for. It seemed the waiter had too many tables and the lack of good service really distracted from the overall dining experience“

“The location is great being right on the beach and has a great atmosphere. As a heads up it can be a little loud inside. The rockfish crudo was very good and light, the snap peas were great, and so were the prawns. We also got the mussels which unfortunately had have that had not been opened (or so very little you could not even use a fork). They were able to make us a half batch to remedy this. Overall the location/buzz does much of the heavy lifting.“

“Seafood quality is better than supermarket quality, and of course this means you’ll pay more for it. The cafe food is great but very pricey coming from someone visiting from out of state. We got the poke bowl, the calamari and clam chowder, the lobster roll, and the Dungeness crab pasta. There is also a good selection of alcohol and Asian sauces as well as vegetables.“

“I took my husband for Father’s Day brunch/lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant here in the Palisades and as always it did not disappoint. It never does. “I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. “We accidentally found this place, and it turned out to be such a wonderful surprise! The sea bass fillet was absolutely delicious—the fish itself was perfectly cooked, and the garnish complemented it beautifully, even though it included fried onions, which I normally wouldn’t expect to pair so well with fish.

“Ladies and gentlemen the winner in the two weeks ago Wednesday blind taco taste test two weeks ago. Everyone's favorite so believe the reviews. It's sparkling shiny and looks eat off the floor clean. The food is fast food priced and is not just a great value in a taste test with nearby El Tarasco that looks more local than this franchise ready busy choice. The taste here is the clear winner. You get less food but for half the price. Mahi Mahi fish taco compared to just the fish of the day at nearby Fiesta.“

“The first time I ever had a lobster roll was here. I AM GLAD it was here. Maybe it was just the bartenders turn at the music I dont know. They were playing mid 90's 2000's rock the whole time, banger after banger! I was looking for a quiet place to eat, but this place took me by surprise so I stayed. The Lobster roll was amazing, warm and Buttery. NOT CHEWY! Beer selection was awesome too. You gotta try the crab and jalapeen dip, also the calamari was delicious. I will be coming back! If you want the dive bar feel with fun employees this is the place.“

“This is my 2nd trip here and the food never disappoints. The service though is the only knock on this place. The servers are polite but the food comes out soooooo slow. I ordered the marlin tacos and the pescado zarandeado. I devoured the marlin tacos they were so good and shared the pescado with the table.“

Tortillas are freshly made and all tacos I had were so uniquely flavorful. I got 3 at first and had to get another 2 and the guy gave me an extra chile relleno taco to try. So freaking nice. “This is my second time here. The first time I came was a month ago and meant to leave a review . The sevice was outstanding. A young gentleman name Andrew went above and beyond to provide exceptional service . He was very nice, professional and overall a very happy person who loved his job. Its employees like this that makes a business successful! Its because of Andrew is why I came back today since I was in the area . I had several options of restaurants to choose from and chose to come back to Blue Salt Fish Grill. Today, the sevice was even better because a new trainee, Ayyaub was here with Andrew and had outstanding service . The manager here has done a great job in hiring great employees. “Great food and would have been a wonderful dining experience. However, our initial experience upon arrival was not very welcoming. The hostess explained that we coukd be seated and served only in the bar area at one of the hi tables or the bar itself as we did not have reservations. We of course said, great no problem. Upon sitting at a hi table a server approached saying that we couldn't sit there without the hostess' approval, at which time we explained that she had done so. He refused to let it go, continued to argue with us about server assignments etc. Then he just walked away to go discuss with the hostess, who in turn came to explain weird situation and tell us that it was fine to remain at this table. The rude server continued to display attitude and disdain throughout our meal. Our main server Peter (?) Was actually very professional and attentive.“

Classic hole in the wall with outstanding specials including fish tacos that absolutely rock at a fair price (especially on Wednesday when they offer a $3.00 per fish taco special that can'tbe beat) Worth the drive...and close to LAX. Great staff always going above and beyond to make customers happy. 2 thumbs all the way up.“

“the service was spectacular. really fun group of servers... food = excellent - exception: chicken appetizer a little greasy/ excessively fried but everything else: salmon, hamachi, avocado fries, duck tacos, etc. was great. a little too loud at first due to boisterous group in the bar right next to our table. acoustics are not great for conversation when the bar is hopping. this is my second time and I will come back.“
