“WOW WOW WOW !!!!!! Best seafood I have had in California hands down. Extremely fresh, fast and packed with flavor. They hooked me up with a free Taco ?!?!!!!!!! Blown away !!! The service was amazing, the girl working the register was strait hustling and being courteous to every single person as dozens piled in 1 after another non stop as I enjoyed my meal at the bar. AMAZING MUST TRY FOOD !!!!!!!!!! I’ll be back Everytime I’m on this side of town.“

“The 5 stars is for the service, staff and attentiveness. The environment is also pleasant. That said, the food is very heavy and rich, without notable flavor. We ordered 7 different dishes. The meat and fish quality seemed very good but the preparation and flavors were seriously lacking. It was just really hard to get through the plates with nothing fresh, nothing crisp and no contrast of lightness. There isn’t a single fresh green salad on the menu. Our stomachs simply all hurt for the duration of the evening afterward. Too much oil? I didn’t have an appetite for the next day and felt queasy! Quite odd.“

“Valentine's Day preset menu was delicious. Service was very slow from checking in to getting our waiter to the table to take our order and finally take our payment. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed. Convenient Valet parking. It was our first time visiting Dear Jane, so we'll have to give it another try during not too busy time.“

If you enjoy fresh sushi fish that are reasonably priced then you most definitely must check out this gem!!! “Amazing view!! Delicious Polynesian Sea Bass. Visited LA for 4 nights and my best meal!!! Walkable area with beach and bike path. Will come back and stay in this area! Restaurant prices are not too high in comparison to other restaurants that aren’t as good.“

“Following a Michelin Guide. The menu offers a solid selection of ceviche and seafood dishes. We tried two types of ceviche and the marlin tacos. The ceviche portions were surprisingly generous for appetizers, while the three tacos felt a bit small for $24.
Our waiter thoughtfully asked whether we could handle spicy food — their ceviche comes with a generous amount of chili and green sauce — and offered to have it prepared milder. We appreciated that touch of attentiveness.
The food itself was fresh and flavorful with no real complaints on quality. That said, it didn't quite reach the level of culinary creativity or refinement I'd expect from a destination worth a special return visit. Service was a little disorganized, and there was an error on the bill.
A solid spot, but not a standout. Four out of five stars.“

“We swim at this beach and we love getting breakfast tacos and burritos afterwards. This food is delicious! They have vegetarian options. “I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. I consider myself a foodie, and try as many different restaurants and cuisines as I can. And yet, Playa Provisions remains my favorite restaurant in LA (and that's saying something, considering the amazing places in LA). Run, don't walk, to Playa Provisions. You'll thank me.“

“Excellent service, amazing lobster 🦞 with crab rice. I just wish I was given the prices before agreeing on the upgrade. I ordered a family for 2 and CJ server offered to make it 3ppl. I was kinda surprised with my bills and how the restaurant dictate the gratuity %….Overall, I love dining in this restaurant because we were welcome and were given a great and warm reception. Thank you to the staff who made us feel special especially to CJ she was amazing. Indeed, the most expensive meal I have eaten lol it’s worth it.“

“This is one of our favorite places to enjoy a beer, glass of wine, and unpretentious but tasty food. They did also get their liquor license recently, but I’m so used to my regular beer/wine orders that I haven’t had anything else yet.
The staff is always on point, even at their busiest.“

“An extremely lively and trendy lounge-type of restaurant on the Venice/Santa Monica border very close to the water. It is actually a block away from the beach. At night they move the tables and the DJ booth turns on and it turns into a mini nightclub and most of the patrons we saw were they to pick up champagne to share and drink on site, the food here seemed an afterthought. The crowd here is very young, most people are in their 20s. You’ll probably be one of the older ones if you are in your mid 30s like myself. It’s also very loud and it’s more a place to go with friends or a date, it’s not really a foodie destination, it’s more of a lively place to spend the evening. Parking is honestly really hard in this area so we took a Waymo because we live a mile away. Aside from that you’ll most likely need to pay for parking. Our waitress was very polite, but our food items arrived pretty slowly.

I started off with the Chicory Salad. I thought it was pretty nice, it was really nice and light start, a perfect salad for spring. For my entree I chose the Burger with a side of Broccolini because I had heard a lot about it. It was very good but not one of the best burgers I’ve had in this part of town. I would say this is a great spot to bring a date, but it’s not really somewhere that is food focused, more a place to drink and order some items if you’re hungry.“

“the service was spectacular. really fun group of servers... food = excellent - exception: chicken appetizer a little greasy/ excessively fried but everything else: salmon, hamachi, avocado fries, duck tacos, etc. was great. a little too loud at first due to boisterous group in the bar right next to our table. acoustics are not great for conversation when the bar is hopping. this is my second time and I will come back.“

“I loved the service and the food. The atmosphere is nice too. We were seated near the band as requested by my friends and it was a little hard to hear them speaking. The band was excellent and over all we had a beautiful time. I suggest that if you decide to go there check the online menu first. I had the salmon and it was heavenly along with the chocolate cake and nice and cheesy Au graten potatoes. You absolutely will not be disappointed when you go trust me.“

“I took my husband for Father’s Day brunch/lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant here in the Palisades and as always it did not disappoint. It never does. He loved his steak and eggs, steak was Devine and I loved my chick pea soup. Always have the panne cotta and the cherry gelato and an espresso in their delightful patio and you’ve been to Italy!“
