“Following a Michelin Guide. The menu offers a solid selection of ceviche and seafood dishes. We tried two types of ceviche and the marlin tacos. The ceviche portions were surprisingly generous for appetizers, while the three tacos felt a bit small for $24.
Our waiter thoughtfully asked whether we could handle spicy food — their ceviche comes with a generous amount of chili and green sauce — and offered to have it prepared milder. We appreciated that touch of attentiveness.
The food itself was fresh and flavorful with no real complaints on quality. That said, it didn't quite reach the level of culinary creativity or refinement I'd expect from a destination worth a special return visit. Service was a little disorganized, and there was an error on the bill.
A solid spot, but not a standout. Four out of five stars.“

“We swim at this beach and we love getting breakfast tacos and burritos afterwards. This food is delicious! They have vegetarian options. “An extremely lively and trendy lounge-type of restaurant on the Venice/Santa Monica border very close to the water. It is actually a block away from the beach. At night they move the tables and the DJ booth turns on and it turns into a mini nightclub and most of the patrons we saw were they to pick up champagne to share and drink on site, the food here seemed an afterthought. The crowd here is very young, most people are in their 20s. You’ll probably be one of the older ones if you are in your mid 30s like myself. It’s also very loud and it’s more a place to go with friends or a date, it’s not really a foodie destination, it’s more of a lively place to spend the evening. Parking is honestly really hard in this area so we took a Waymo because we live a mile away. Aside from that you’ll most likely need to pay for parking. Our waitress was very polite, but our food items arrived pretty slowly.

I started off with the Chicory Salad. I thought it was pretty nice, it was really nice and light start, a perfect salad for spring. For my entree I chose the Burger with a side of Broccolini because I had heard a lot about it. It was very good but not one of the best burgers I’ve had in this part of town. I would say this is a great spot to bring a date, but it’s not really somewhere that is food focused, more a place to drink and order some items if you’re hungry.“

We found this place from Instagram and I had it saved as a “Want to Go” but I have just moved it to my favorites. We ordered the 4LB boil and got shrimp, scallops, snow crabs, sausage, corn and broccoli. This place was flavorful without being overly salty. My only knock is that it took a while to find a parking space. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a seafood boil. You will not waste your money here.“

“I’ve been here several times—it’s my go-to spot for grilled seafood. I usually order one of the group sets, and I love how it comes with a variety of sides like fried dishes, spicy rice cakes, Korean pancakes, and even noodles at the end. It’s a great value if you’re coming with a group.
They also have both indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice depending on the vibe you’re going for.
During our most recent visit, Daniel our server was super friendly and attentive. I accidentally left my bag there after dinner and didn’t realize until the next day. Thankfully, they kept it safe. Huge thanks to Jeff for securing it and Daniel for reaching out once he got the message. I really appreciated that!

“A hidden gem. Amazingly fresh and tasty fish. Selection and specials change often and food is reasonably priced. Great spot for lunch or dinner. If you are a healthy-eater this is gonna be your new favorite spot. Takeout is fast too. Can't say enough good things about this place.“

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“This is one of our favorite places to enjoy a beer, glass of wine, and unpretentious but tasty food. They did also get their liquor license recently, but I’m so used to my regular beer/wine orders that I haven’t had anything else yet.

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere.
