For a bbq spot to get you your order in under 10 mins that's saying something so kudos for that. The food, I got the Rib combo with the brisket along with the MacNCheese with the seasoned fries. The brisket was great, ribs were good but I liked the brisket more. The amount of MacN Cheese given is outstanding! There's more things on the menu I would like to try so I will be back for sure“

“Lovely Italian restaurant in South Park. I rate this spot towards the top of South Park’s Italian food options. The food looked and tasted incredible. However, I would recommend this place more for meat eaters. Although there are several vegetarian options, the vegetarian dish that we ordered was average. In the flip side, the beef based dishes are all outstanding!“

I ordered the Sampler plate the #1 it had a big portions of each item everything tasted delicious the cornbread was moist and the garlic bread was toasty. It has a rustic interior, friendly staff, and an impressive list of craft beers — both local and international. The bartender was super knowledgeable and let me sample a few before I picked my favorite. They also had board games available, which made the night even more fun. “Took a wrong turn on the freeway and that lead us to this place. We had been wanting to come in and took this as a sign. We went for the two meat meal- brisket and pork ribs with bbq beans and cole slaw. Delicious!! Brisket was fork tender and full of flavor, pork ribs were seasoned perfectly and just right. The baked beans and slaw were just as good. We liked that they let you put your own sauce on. The tables have their house made sauces, bbq and a bbq mustard. Both fantastic! They have beef ribs but only on Sundays, so we’ll need a return trip( oh darn!) Definitely have some new fans here. Oh and worth noting, we got one meal which was plenty for the two of us.“

“Every time we’ve gone, the food is good. They also have a good choice of craft beers on hand rotating. The service can be either really good or really bad. They have forgotten about us and left us waiting for a check for 40 minutes. I ordered a hamburger with two slices of cheese, when they served it the hamburger only had one slice. I asked the waitress if she could just take it back and add another slice of cheese. I am more than happy to pay for it. She blew a huffing sound, shrugged her shoulders and rolled her eyes and said whatever and walked away with the plate. When she brought it back, she sat the plate down and said, “Do you have enough cheese now”. My wife and I have actually enjoyed going to this place, but that waitress has turned me off for a while for sure.“

“Overall, this La Mesa location it’s not too bad. It’s pretty good. The barbecue beef again. This is a college area and yet this one in La Mesa beats the one located in La Jolla so something‘s going on over in the expensive area where they’re cheating the value or the quality where you have El Cajon and now here in La Mesa much better quality service is pretty good in the atmosphere. It’s it’s giving me that Hawaiian vibe a little bit so watch out expensive living areas you gotta pick up your game and stop being cheap.“

“The menu has a solid selection of meats and seafood. The highlights for us were the 5-Spiced Marinated Lamb, Marinated Pork-Belly, the Sweet Spicy Cajun Chicken, and the Cumin Squid—all packed with flavor and cooked beautifully over the charcoal, which provided a unique, smoky-char flavor. The sides/appetizers (Rice Paper, Beef Soup, Steamed Egg, House Salad) were similar to what you’ll find at most Korean BBQ places, but the Boiled Whole Peanuts were a pleasant surprise. They were perfectly boiled and had a great texture. As for the sauces, I highly recommend their House Garlic Sauce, Sea Salt Sesame Oil, and House-Spicy Powder, which pair well with their vast meat menu.
One thing to keep in mind is that the restaurant is pretty small, so it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to arrive as early as possible since it can get crowded very quickly. My group ended up waiting about 1.5 hours for a table. Despite the wait, the food was excellent, and the staff was very accommodating, attentive, and professional throughout the experience.
Overall, this spot is definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for something a little different from the typical KBBQ experience.

“Honestly, this is one of the best Korean restaurants for both traditional Korean entrées and AYCE BBQ. The quality and taste of the meat is really good for the price. It does get quite busy on weekends, but the staffs especially many of the male servers are efficient, attentive, and work really hard to keep things moving.

Overall, hands down I have no complaints. To some of the people leaving overly harsh comments, try giving the staffs a little grace. The restaurant gets extremely busy at times, and everyone is doing their best to provide good service. Many employees that I have known spend holidays like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day working instead of celebrating with their own families. Come on man. A little patience, understanding, and appreciation go a long way. Let’s be thankful and treat them with kindness.“

“Located near the sdsu campus, this location is accessible to students and community members alike. The food was fresh and the katsu had a delectable crutch that left a good taste in my mouth. The cashier was a kind soul that made our L & L experience one that we’ll never forget.“

“I have nothing but sweet words about this place. I am a tourist here and have tried another Nigerian restaurant that was not much to write home about. I ordered ogbona and egusi for myself and hubby and it tasted like home food.
The portions were big too and we could have shared a soup instead of buying two meals.
Customer service was good though the setup does not encourage physical contact. A sweet young boy came out to inform us that our order was being prepared.

Ordering was easy via the kiosk in the waiting room and wait was not too long.

Worthy to note is that there are multiple food places in the same place and they each have their ordering kiosk. You Order & pay online or via the kiosk and your food is brought out to you.

“This has been my number one place to go to for the most delicious and most freshly cooked, roasted pig, regular, whole-roasted duck, and whole roasted-open duck in the whole San Diego county!! I also like their roasted pig feet and head!!😋 I have been going here for about over two decades. I have not tried their other dishes though. My favorite dish is their whole, open roasted duck!! It's really tasty and has a lot less fat than the regular, roasted one, but it still has the right amount of moisture and flavor in the meat, except the head. The duck head is sometimes dry if it is later in the afternoon. I usually get it during their first batch in the morning when they first open at 9:30am. The Cantonese lady who's also fluent in Vietnamese and English would always ask me if I want my duck to be cut. I like to watch her cutting the whole duck into nice bite sizes and all into a box nicely and neatly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes the dishes I mentioned here!“

Honestly, imagine enjoying good BBQ and cold beer on the weekend, then walking around Convoy afterward... life feels pretty great sometimes.

Am I afraid of bras? Will my life be diminished by reading a few irreverent bumper stickers? Am I put off by people who are unapologetically authentic? “Dual BBQ and hot pot tables if you have people who prefer one or the other. Otherwise I would probably stick to a dedicated place for BBQ or hotpot. It has everything and the all you can eat is pretty generous, it's just not as polished as some other BBQ or hotpot restaurants.“
