“Qbole is my go to spot for Mexican seafood. Everything I’ve tried there has been so fresh and delish. The shrimp tacos gobernador had so much flavor. The shrimp, cheese, and crispy tortillas blend together so well. The burritas are all great. I would recommend the shrimp and marlin burrita.
They use really high quality ingredients and you can taste the difference. For example, I ordered a simple bean and cheese burrito because the ingredients are so fresh and I wanted to have something simple but delicious.
I’ve tried several of the ceviches, botanas, and aguachiles, and they were all superb. The fish is always very fresh and you get a lot of it for a very reasonable price.
I would say Qbole has some of the best Mexican seafood in Los Angeles. I really don’t get ceviche anywhere else anymore.“

“I absolutely love this place; I have been going here for years. My favorite item is the chunky beef super deluxe burrito! Get this with a side of pico de gallo and you are good to go! This burrito is so large, it will last you a couple of days. And the prices are so reasonable. I truly love El Burrito Jr.!
Parking: Parking on site and it is all free. There is plenty of parking.“

“This place is SO good! I got the breakfast burrito and added cheese and avocado. Omg it was so big I had it for two meals. It was just as amazing for the second meal. Everyone that worked there was so nice, it had such a great family feel. A few customers came in while I was eating outside, and it was clear they were regulars - as i would be if I lived closer! Also, I dont eat meat and there were plenty of options!
There aren't any tables inside but there are a few outside with umbrellas if needed.“

“Food was great! Unfortunately they were out of refried beans but i can't hold that against them as they gave me 4 sides instead of 2 to make up for it! Crazy. Very generous portions of delicious food. The mexican fried potatos were not my favorite but they were made well. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for high quality mexican food. Service was excellent, refills of chips, salsa, and drinks were fast and they checked on us often. One of my favorite mexican restaurants of all time!“

“Fantastic hidden gem! Located in north long beach, this authentic Mexican restaurant is absolutely delicious. They have plenty of nostalgic dishes that you may remember a loved cooking for you. They have soups, tacos, and special dishes such as costillitas con nopales. I was left very much happily satisfied. Parking is a nightmare, they have a small lot. It is a mom and pop shop, so please keep that in mind when you arrive. Seating is extremely limited, but they have a couple chairs out front to ensure you're taken care of. Please tip if you can as I'm positive a place like this is not common anymore these days. The ladies who serve and take orders have the most cute uniforms and friendliest of service. Anything upon request!!! Please ask before you do. They have a specific seating order and will be happy to accommodate when you ask! Oh they do serve alcohol, beers and margaritas 😬“

“There is nothing better than el Tarasco, rosecrans Manhattan beach. I come back to socal twice a year to visit family and we never go back without stopping here. The chicken (hard shell fried) taco is the best in the world... make sure to order a side of guacamole, their habenero salsa and cheese quesadilla. If u want to branch out carne asada tacos or the junior burrito deluxe.. ,ant go wrong. Sitting at bar stools 300 feet from the beach at a genuine taco stand that's out of this world checks all the boxes. Bring your appetite morning or late night.“

“We recently catered a birthday party w/Casa Playa. It was pretty short notice, 3 days, but they really made our party perfect! I called and Alathena helped walk me through the menu to choose just the right amount of food. They provided the buffet racks and the sterno (saved me a couple of trips looking for them). Everything was delivered exactly on time and hot! They even provided signs to make choosing easier. The food was DE-Licious!! Crispy tacos were awesome as were the enchiladas. Our guests kept raving about the food even the next day. If you need catering, call them! They’re terrific, easy to work with and very accommodating. Thank you Alathena! LC“

“Amazing presentation and more importantly, taste. Everything was delicious. I went with the ceviche tradicional de camaron, taco perrones de camaron tijuanense, colorin colorado, y cucumber jalapeño margarita. Everything was delicious. The portions were very large. “My husband ordered the machaca plate that was delicious. I ask for the cheeseburger with fries (my bad). The taste of the machaca plate was way better than my order. But we have a good time here. Taste of Mexico in Long Beach. 👍
Good service. Love the people 💕

“I tried Mi Rinconcito Birria y Menudo and everything was absolutely delicious! The birria was super flavorful and tender, the menudo had amazing taste, and the tortillas were fresh. You can tell everything’s made with love. Definitely one of my new favorite spots for authentic Mexican food — highly recommend! 🌮🔥“

“Tried this place for the first time, I couldn’t decide between the torta and the chimichanga so I got both. Shredded beef chimichanga and chicken torta. Chicken was white meat and juicy, but a bit bland. Needed some salt and pepper, but for some reason I find shredded chicken bland at a lot of Mexican restaurants (maybe just me). Other than that, food was great! Called in order and picked up, cash only! Friendly service, will definitely be back. In total, this was like $26 but it’s enough for 3 people. Small seating area, I would not recommend dine in for more than 2 people“

“Mercado Manhattan Beach: A Review That’s 90% Enthusiasm, 10% Queso Coma
I walked into Mercado Manhattan Beach expecting solid tacos and left questioning whether I’d just experienced peak human achievement or simply overdosed on crema. The answer, it turns out, is both.
Let’s start with the star of the show: the Al Pastor Tacos. These little corn-tortilla miracles arrive looking like they’ve been drizzled by a hyperactive Jackson Pollock who only owns green paint and a grudge against restraint. The pork is shaved so thin it’s basically prosciutto’s tropical cousin, caramelized toueto edges that taste like someone figured out how to bottle campfire. Then they hit it with pineapple that somehow manages to be both sweet and aggressively tangy—like if piña colada grew up and started doing CrossFit. Topped with onions, cilantro, and enough green sauce to power a small salsa cartel. One bite and I actually whispered “dios mío” unironically. My dining companion heard me and nodded solemnly, as if we’d just witnessed a religious event.
Up next: the Queso Fundido, which should come with a warning label and a waiver. This is not “cheese dip.” This is molten queso Oaxaca doing its best impersonation of a lava flow in a cute little bowl. Chorizo chunks bob around like spicy little life rafts. You will attempt to be civilized with the provided tortillas. You will fail. You will resort to spoon. You will consider bathing in it. The waiter will pretend not to notice when you guard the bowl like Gollum with the One Ring.
And then, because apparently we hate ourselves, we ordered the Flautas de Pollo. Picture taquito’s fancy older sister who went to culinary school in Guadalajara and came back with strong opinions about presentation. Perfectly rolled, fried to a shattering crisp, then piled so high with lettuce, crema, queso fresco, and pico that it looks like a edible Jenga tower. One wrong move and you’re wearing half of it. Worth it.
Service was the kind of attentive that makes you feel mildly famous—like the staff genuinely wants you to have the best night of your life, and they’re willing to sprint for extra limes to make it happen. Cocktails are dangerously good (the mezcal situation is reckless), and the patio is prime South Bay people-watching real estate.
Only complaint: portions are aggressively generous, which feels like a trap. I left in what can only be described as a full-body food hug, waddling to my car while mentally drafting my will to leave everything to Mercado.
10/10, would sell my soul for more of that green sauce. Bring stretchy pants and zero shame.“

“This is one of our favorite spots in the south bay! We love it so much we actually had our wedding reception at the rooftop. Food and service are always great and Andrew has been fantastic at taking care of our guests on our wedding day. Love their Iris Azul, El Pistachio and all the mezcal drinks. As for food - die for tortillas and decadent Chimichangas!“
