“I travel for work every week and have to come to the area for the work I perform at nearby Beale AFB. I usually stay at the Residence Inn, however it was booked. I arrived Tuesday March 12th at about 430pm and was lookig for a good meal since I only had breakfast. I found this restaurant after a quick search and found out it was open recently as it was not there last time I visited. I sat at the sushi bar. Ordered hot green tea, my go to to relax me after my flight and drive from Sacramento airport. I then ordered the shashimi appetizer which was blue fin, golden salmon and pepperfin tuna. Excellent presentation and umami. I then ordered the spicy Gyunika ramen. The flavor of the soy broth and thin noodles made my day. The tender short rib and soft boiled egg were fantastic. The entire bowl was amazing. I then ordered the Ankimo, monkfish liver or the foie gras of the sea. The smooth texture, crisp cucumber, roe, and fig made this 5 portion plate well worth it. Dont think of the word liver when ordering and enjoy the plating and fantastic umami. I finished with yuzu cheescake and the soft creamy texture and chocolate was perfect way to end my meal, along with another cup of green tea. I decided that I would be back the next day Wednesday for more. I went back on the next day for dinner again and sat at the bar. This time I ordered the Seared Tuna Tataki, Unagi Don and green tea cheesecake. I again ordered a hot green tea, my go to even at home after a long day. The seared Tuna melts in your mouth and has very good flavor. I enjoyed every bite. I then ordered the Unagi Don, fresh water eel over sushi rice. It was amazing. The eel sauce and bbq eel were perfect and the extra sauce dripping into the rice made it even better. Finishing off with the green tea cheese cake and tea. I checked my schedule and I will be back in June for a week, can't wait to try more on the menu next time I am in town. As someone that travels 80% of every month all over the country and world I typically only eat Asian style foods when travelling; it is lighter , fresher and typically quieter in their restuarants. This is important for someone on the road like me all the time. Fantastic food and customer service.“
“So good we went back twice in 1 week. We kind of wish the Wasabi plates were a bit better but small small detail. All staff are great!! Sake is wonderful. Eric is a Great sushi chef!*Inside tip~~~try the Miang Kham--wrap ingredienta in spinach leaf & keep chewing-!*“
“We did the AYCE and it was amazing. The quality of the sushi was amazing for the price per person. Their service was great. Very friendly and polite. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for bang for your buck. Will definitely come back again if we're ever in the area.“
“I rarely give a 5 star review, but this place deserves it.Service was prompt and courteous. The server clearly knew the menu well and she made recommendations to us and accommodations for us. We were in a group, but she provided separate tickets. She didn’t hover, but was watchful when we needed refills of their truly delicious green tea and boxes at the end of our meal. There is a wide variety of dishes on the menu. The lunch special is chicken teriyaki. A large serving of grilled chicken comes with white rice, a green salad, and your choice of potstickers or sushi roll. The chicken was grilled and served without sauce. Bottles of teriyaki, soy and sriracha were on the table so we could season our plate as we liked. Everyone was pleased with their choice and there were three clean plates at our table.Though this place is in a small strip mall across from Sierra College, it was very quiet inside. An absolute must for us aging diners! My ticket was $20, which is about in line with lunch specials these days and considering the generosity of the servings. Planning to return to try the fish!“
“Pretty good fish and chips place, nothing super spectacular other than your typical fish and fish restaurant. However, they do serve sushi here as well which is something you don't find at most other fish and chips spots. I got the fish and calamari, the fish was good, crunchy and fluffy, very fresh. The calamari was crunchy but slightly rough and rubbery. The chips ( or fries) are crunchy and hot! I love it! Overall pretty good and the staff was super nice! I will come back again!“
“Came here for lunch for the 1st time last week. So good! I don't eat sushi, but the veggie roll and the mango shrimp avocado rolls were so good! Prices also reasonable and the service was awesomeKid-friendliness: They have something for everyone in the family“
“We had 5 children with us, the team that took care of us were kind and patient with our brood. The food was delicious and seemed to be on the bigger side of sushi rolls. The sushi came out chilled, it was refreshing. They even made a "kids" ramen for us with noodles and broth only. They were on top of refills and checked on us often even though we sat outside, and they were busy. This will be a must for us when we visit again.Kid-friendliness: We had 5 kids with us 13,12,8,4,and 2 they had something for everyone and even made "kid friendly" chopsticks so they could use them if they wanted. They also brought out forks just in case. They had kid cups and made sure they had everything they could need.In the restroom it would be nice to have a changing tableWheelchair accessibility: It would be a tight fit but definitely doable. The restroom is big enough for a chair to fit comfortably along with a caregiver if needed.“
“We had never been to Sakura before and were pleased to discover a really good sushi place in Auburn! It's a small place, just the chef and the waitress as far as we could tell. The waitress, Crystal, was very knowledgeable about all the food and friendly and helpful. We really loved everything we ate so check it out! It's all sushi although some of the fish is cooked. Lovely creative presentations. Everything was delicious. We got a wide variety of rolls, some gyowza appetizers, and some delicious salads. What a find!“
“Hubby and I wanted to try a new sushi place. So I googled "best sushi place near me". This place popped up. It was pretty good. Small place great for a date night. We ordered 3 different kinds of sushi, galleria, California roll and forgot the 3rd one name but it was really good. We'll have to come bsck and try other kinds.“
“My wife and I always order the sashimi platter. The seafood is always so fresh. The rolls we had were also wonderful. The food has always been great. I want to give huge props to our server, Nomi! She was outstanding! Very kind and quick with suggestions when asking what we wanted. She made my granddaughters 16th birthday wonderful! Thank you Nomi!“
“Honestly, one of the best value AYCE sushi experience I’ve had in a while. We had the COURSE A AYCE option ($30/person) and the variety of foods and selection of sushi was overwhelming (in a good way). The fish was fresh and tasty. Shrimp and veggie tempura was great.Service was also top notch. Our server came by often to check-in and take additional orders and food came out incredibly quickly. Will definitely be back.“
“Everything about sushi house is absolutely wonderful! The sushi chefs make the best rolls, and the main waitress that’s always there is the sweetest and always takes great care of us. They even modify things so that our two year old can eat easily. This is our go to spot.“
“The Boneless Yangyum spicy Chicken was very tasty and they give you a big portion for the price. The entree also comes with rice and about six small side dishes. Their Korean menu looks very interesting and will keep me coming back to try new dishes. You should check this place out.“
“Don't pass on this Japanese restaurant in Roseville! Located in a small shopping center, the restaurant wowed us with it's delicious food and generous portions! At first glance, the prices looked a bit high but when we got our food we we weren't even able to finish it all. The rolls are huge, the salads very generous in size, and the bento box was overflowing. Everything was fresh and tasted so good and the service was quick and friendly. We will definitely be coming back in the future!“
“Overall good experience in would recommend. Their phones for calling orders seem to only work half the time. Not sure exactly what's going on, maybe a temporary issue and will change with you in the future. A little on the pricier side but quality is good 9 out of 10 times. A few of the times we got rolls or rice plates that felt a little bit old, but we order here on a weekly basis so understandable to not be perfect all the time.“
“Honestly I cannot stop thinking about how AMAZING those fried bananas are! I did not expect them to be so darn great!I would give it 5 stars but given the service I got with the waitress that took our order, definitely not. She was very rude and she got annoyed when my dad asked for the bento box so she gave him the menu for side orders and just left without taking the rest of our orders and not saying anything. Then it took about 20 minutes for her to come back and took everyone else’s orders that came in after us. I didn’t catch her name since no one was wearing a name tag.So that’s why I’m giving it only 4 stars. I will return one day and bring my husband and hopefully I can give it 5 stars on my next visit.Kid-friendliness: They gave my daughter a booster seat upon request“
“We got there around 5:45 on a Saturday in the place was really busy. We had about a half hour wait for a table but it turned out to be worth it. The food was excellent and so was the service. The prices were quite reasonable. We will definitely be going back.“
“This is a fun place to always watch them prepare your food. The chefs are good and the weight staff is a tentative. It's not knock down delicious but very decent. It's a pretty expensive place. The tips are built in for large parties which is typically why they get are high. The floors could be cleaned a little bit better and the countertops since a lot of the prepared dishes are more greasy thus it's harder to keep the surfaces as clean.Vegetarian options: If you have a lot of restrictions you probably ought to restrict yourself and stay home and watch CNN. Otherwise you can have soup and rice here.Dietary restrictions: You can stay home and have rice cakes and tofu if you don't want to go out and have fried food prepared in front of you.Parking: Hobby lobby and other busy stores are in this lot so it's hard to park most of the time.“
“Went there on a recommendation of a friend tonight. What a wonderful location, wonderful family that runs it, and awesome food and service! Would highly recommend the sesame chicken and the tempura! Also, my wife had Salmon Nigiri and an Angela roll which were fantastic as well. Highly recommend this establishment!“
“As someone that lives in San Diego and has fresh fish all around me, this place was head and shoulders above any other place I’ve tried. First of all, the restaurant was supremely clean and smelled great! No fishiness detected. The people were all friendly and prompt. Service was fast. I had the salmon and albacore nigiri and they were amazing! Huge portions and tasted so good!! By and away the best sushi I’ve had anywhere. My friend had some of their rolls and those were equally good too. Their menu was very large and prices were decent too.I will be back here every time I find myself in Sacramento. The restaurant may look small andnondescript, but it is well worth the visit. You’ll be thanking yourself that you did.“
“We ate at their Eureka location. Busy Friday night, waited 40 minutes for a table. When this place gets busy, it's loud. They could use additional soft materials or sound absorbing panels. Once we were seated (party of 7) service was good. Ordered a number of platters, sashimi appetizers, hamachi collars, and extra pickled wasabi. Fish is always fresh and presentation appetizing.“
“We found it to be a very quaint restaurant with a good atmosphere and a well and reasonably priced menu. There is a plenty fenestration due to corner location. Service was prompt. The only thing that caught me by surprise is that if you use a credit card, it's an additional 4% of your total fee. And that's after tax. The notice is located at the end of every table. I guess we're going to have to get used to that, thanks to someone making decisions for everybody else. Glad we had cash and I'm going to have to carry more apparently. I think it takes away from the employees receiving the preferred tip rather than what could be or can be afforded. I enjoyed the OMG sushi roll. It was really good. There are many sushi restaurants in that area like Mikuni's which is said to be the best. We have been there recently and it's just not. It is still one of the top sushi restaurants nearby.“
“Busy for a Friday night, but it was delicious! The best sushi in Rocklin. Very friendly. In fact they were giving away sake shots towards the end of night cause they didn't want the bottle to waste. Then we looked at our bill, they forgot to charge me my two beers. Food was yummy!“
“Gina, the manager could not have been more professional and courteous. It was my first time here, so I asked for a recommendation I told her I did like seafood, and the seafood combination Ramen that I got was hands-down, the best I’ve had in California so far, I will continue to come here for the food, and for the great service that Gina and her staff Supply!“
“Awesome little place for over 6 years since we started coming here. This is not a fast pace franchise restaurant! Its small and cozy, and if they have lots of orders, then yes, we wait. Call ahead and order/ask. When too many online orders, then they can't serve everyone. Small family owned business ran by just two people. My husband and I love eating here at least on the once a month basis. I love how they pay attention to our preferences where when I forget to ask for specific things, they would remember and provide it like my little slices of lemon. Another great thing about the place is the great price. They are a bit hidden but Google will find it!“
“My friends were craving oyster shooters after a day at the river. It was my first time having it, and needless to say they were really delicious. I am now a huge fan and came back a few times for more especially in the summertime. This place is ordinary not too fancy with chill vibes with exceptional food. Their other dishes were equally as flavorful. The service was good, lots of parking available, and no reservations needed.“
“As someone who's been to Japan, this is a little slice of Japan in auburn the foods fantastic and priced very fairly the aesthetic is amazing I looks like something you'd walk into in Kyoto highly recommend checking this place out!“
“Umi Sushi has an affordable all you can eat menu with a HUGR VATIETY of different kinds of sushi. The baked mussels and friend oysters were a first for me, and were impressively delicious.Being a sushi lover, I often am disspointed with the quality of fish served for the all you can eat menu. They do not over rice their Nigeria, and the fish is perfect.I have ONLY one complaint, and it doesn't downgrade this restaurant below 5 stars for me. What is with restaurants that don't have fountain beverages? Spring for the machine, and your customers will thank you with tips. Make me pay for a 2nd diet coke and it's coming off your tip.“
“Macy was the best server we experienced in years. She's a 10 plus!!! She could teach others to hustle with a smile. The food was quite good as well. The establishment was clean and comfortable. We definitely will go back and recommend this place to others.“
“This place is a gem! Their patio is fun and had a nice chill vibe. The best part for me is the customization available when you order online ( and I've done in person as well) I've been ordering for over 6 months and visiting in person and never had a bad “
“PK Sushi is an excellent choice for fulfilling your sushi desire. They provide a diverse selection of rolls and other Japanese cuisine.Their establishment is conveniently located in Rocklin, making it easily accessible for individuals residing in the Sacramento region.Additionally, their exceptional service and pleasant musical ambiance contribute to an enjoyable dining experience.“
“Love this place. Wish it was closer to the side of Folsom we live at. The sushi is always really amazing and the prices are very reasonable as well. I stopped going to some sushi places because the started charging exorbitant prices. But hats off to the Hasu team for standing out. You have our loyalty.“
“While the ambiance (or lack thereof) might concern you about the quality, it should not. This has been the best sushi in Auburn for years and still holds that title. Fresh and generous amounts of fish with many options, most of which are great.“
“I decided to stop and order a teriyaki bowl, I have to say it was very tasty. I should have taken a picture to show you; it was enough food for two people and it was on the lunch menu. The food was fresh and the price was good I will definitely go back. This restaurant is hidden in the back by Safeway.“
“Finally got a chance to experience this ghost restaurant! It was a pleasure meeting Owner/Operator Chris. His hours are little funky so check first before your order. I decided to sample what he has to offer. His menu are limited but his fish are fresh. Don't expect any fancy premium collection like Saba, Hotate, Ikura, Amaebi, Uni...etc, he will do special request but takes a week as fish are coming from Japan. I ordered chef special roll, O-toro, sake toro, and Suzuki. I felt the nigiri rice was little too much for me, just a pinch of rice would bring out the flavor of the fish more. There's no set chef special roll, he'll make whatever he feels like it. Pricing was reasonable since it's a ghost restaurant. Will definitely return again to explore his other dishes.“
“Large variety of rolls, fantastic Hama-Kama. Service could have been more efficient, she kept coming back with one thing in her hand and that meant we saw her allot. Would have been more pleasant to get a tray full of refills, silver and plates.Kid-friendliness: Kids had rolls and teriyaki bowls. Got the helper chopsticks.“
“I was at a nearby hotel for work and searched for sushi nearby. Based on menu options and reviews, I came to Sushi Kuma and it was bomb! The fish was super fresh, perfect sauces, and everything melted in my mouth. When I arrived, I was the only one there because it was later in the evening. The service was friendly and hospitable. I’m so thankful they stayed open to their stated hours so I could enjoy this place. I’ll be back.“
“They only offer ToGos. Sashimi dinner combo, scallop carpaccio, soft shell crab, 4 rolls were perfectly placed with care and beautifully presented in each container. All were what we had hoped for and more. I can see why folks drive out of their way to pick up their delicious orders!“
“You can have the combination taste of Japanese and Korean food here. A kids-friebdly restaurant. Not besides the highway, but it is worth 2 miles drive if you want to have Ramen near the Auburn area.We are impressed with the delicious Sushi "I-80", a variety of choices with interesting names. Ramen broth is ok, the ingredients are satisfied. The Bento Box is good value. Mochi ice cream makes kids' day.The last call for the kitchen is at 8:30 pm, we can't order more food in time. Will try the Korean style TanTam noodle next time.“
“The check in person, and the waiter were great. Had sushi and it excellent. We didn't have reservations, so we didn't have the chef cook right in front of us. However the reservation patrons were having a great time. Had a very nice time.“
“I really like this place. But it really depends on what you get. The servings are huge and service is great. The sesame chicken is a bust. The teriyaki chicken is ok. The pork noodle bowl is really the golden ticket and we come here weekly for it. The tempura is also clutch. Any bad reviews are because the person just didn’t order the right thing. We have had some inconsistency with the pork noodle bowl which we have chalked up to different cooks. But other than that it’s pretty tasty.“
“We LOVE AZY Sushi. The portions are amazing and the food is delicious. We really enjoy the Crazy Bombs!!! You have to try them. The pepper fin is absolutely worth it as well! We love finding local restaurants to support and AZY Sushi is a great choice. The chef is very positive and upbeat. They have even had to work through it glitches that have been enjoyable. This is definitely our families favorite sushi spot in Lincoln! Make it yours, too. Sorry, I love to exclaim things when they are this good! ;)“
“I loved the idea of multiple different business being joined together in one location with one kitchen. Easy to order and mix and match food from different cuisines. They have it all. The Sushirrito was ok. I got the Salmon one and I did not expect the salmon to be cooked. The crab roll was very refreshing though. All the sauces are super delicious. Plenty of parking and outside and inside seating areas. Gives out more of a fast food vibe.“
“Great sushi I ordered the wasabi baby roll and the staff was friendly. It was just a little slow but I didn’t mind it was only 2 workers tonight.Vegetarian options: Well they had some roll choices of vegetarian opt and they also had a gluten free menu which was good because my mom is gluten free.“
“I've been to this restaurant for years; it is a nice thing to be able to say that despite living just due north of Roseville, which is filled to the brim with amazing places to eat, here in Lincoln, like 5 minutes from my house is the best Japanese Restaurant in Northern California. From the service to the prices to the actual quality of food, this is by far one of the best restaurants I've ever been to, and their food is outrageously good.“
“We moved away from Roseville and this is the only restaurant I miss and think about regularly. I always order the chirashi bowl. No other place beats it. They are so very generous with the sashimi - thick cut and tons of variety! Not expensive either for what you get. I’m drooling thinking about it now.The rolls are also very good. Our faves are the white Ferrari and who’s your daddy. What else… there’s a sashimi special called screaming orgasm that is delectable.“
“Honestly, it’s a great sushi place. Just a little expensive with small portions. But they have a diverse menu and a clean atmosphere. Unassuming from the outside. We were positive where the restaurant was, but we immediately got a table and had our orders taken. It was late at night and they were very hospitable and quick to please.“
“Blue Nami Sushi blew me away! The fish was incredibly fresh, melting in my mouth with every bite. I tried the Yummy Yummy, and the flavor combinations were perfect. The staff was attentive and friendly, making helpful recommendations throughout my meal. Overall, the delicious food, friendly service, and reasonable prices make Blue Nami a must-try for any sushi lover in Folsom.“
“The staff was super nice and attentive. They were really really busy and backed up and they still made sure that we were taken care of, made sure we had everything we needed and brought out food outside to us because we were sitting on the front patio area. They were so kind and made us feel very welcome which is getting harder to find lately!“
“Wish she put "to go" order properly for the fish chowder dish that comes with the rice noodle. The purpose of my driving all the way to Loomis to pickup two orders of this dish along with another dish was so that I can enjoy a little bit of that fish chowder dish each day since I normally need to eat high protein dish and this chowder dish does not have enough protein for me.It is very tasty but I had to finish it off rather quickly in less than 24 hours (alone) because in the to go box, rice noodle was mixed in with the chowder and my plan to use wheat noodle instead was defeated. So if you plan to order that fish for To Go, make sure to instruct her to pack the noodle separately.“
