“Can’t wait to come back for a positive review after my first be bright pour-over as I think I had the best bean in North America and haven’t had a good quality of Geisha for long time.
I dropped by for a cold brew and grabbed a bag of “unique & surprising” to go and the barista shared a small cup of its cold brew for me to taste. I am glad i have tried because it was really surprised by its freshness and flavor and almost wanted to have another large cup of coffee if it’s not my first drink at that day of arrival after a 5 hr flight without a full meal😿
I followed the brew guide on the website but have cut half of the size and still get the same profile as I have had for cold brew.
I will definitely come back for other coffee drinks next time🙌

“Really amazing and very good food. I was a table of one and was able to sit down within 15 minutes compared to usual hour long wait.

I got the HK style french toast, very sweet and more of a dessert but it was amazing nonetheless. Second item i got was the cold sesame noodle (no chicken) and i’ve never had this amazing dish before and it was life changingly good.

Funny story but they threw away my food while i was in the bathroom for two minutes but they apologized and gave me a free meal to go and pastry. I didn’t care that much but happy they fixed an error!

“Nice vibes, convenient location with easy parking, beautiful decor. Service was lacking, but understand there is a labor shortage right now, perhaps that's to blame here. Bodega sando was perfection! Pastries were alright...most looked better than they tasted. I'd say they were good but not great.“

“Open Market catered a wedding reception I was coordinating in October, and they were wonderful. Their restaurant is one of the bride's favorites, and they were great. The food is delicious, and I'm working on getting my husband over there soon. They couldn't have been more accommodating and flexible during the planning, and they were straight pros at the reception. As a planner, I love caterers that are easy to work with and easy for my couple's to work with, and it was a great experience for everyone.

Ordered food on here on a few occasions and its ridiculously overpriced. Remembered getting grits and a coffee and it was the most underwhelming $30 I’ve ever spent. Chicken sandwich is slightly better though if you want to drop $18 on a little sandwich.“

“My experience at Saby’s is always phenomenal. I live close by and this has turned into my go to weekend brunch spot. The food is incredible (I get the chipotle chicken breakfast burrito) almost every time and it never fails to disappoint. Sometimes the food can take a bit but that’s because there is always a line out the door and around the corner! The services is great, the workers are so welcoming and kind (especially Javier, he is the absolute man!!), and every time I come I leave with new appreciation for the establishment. Their coffee is also delicious, I get the Spanish latte with oak milk and it never fails to disappoint. 10/10 would recommend Saby’s to any and everyone!! Also special shoutout to whoever is on aux, they play absolute banger after banger on repeat (atmosphere is elite)!!“

“A cozy café with a Korean vibe. I had been following posts about its opening on a thread, so I felt a sense of familiarity with it. The dessert and drink menu were simple and not over-the-top, which I really liked. I was surprised to see more foreigners than Koreans, even though cafés like this usually attract a lot of Koreans. This morning, since we were having church at home, I put Hilltop to the test and ordered two of their shrimp breakfast bowls—and let me tell you, this dish preaches. Think perfectly seasoned shrimp—tender with just the right sear—laid over a hearty base of fluffy jasmine rice. Add in velvety scrambled eggs, roasted sweet potatoes with that caramelized edge, and fresh sautéed kale that gives you that “I’m still eating healthy” balance. Drizzle on their house-made sauce (that hits somewhere between tangy and soulful), and you’ve got a bowl that feels like Sunday brunch and grandma’s kitchen got together and made magic.

“We loved this place so much on our four day trip that we went twice! The seasonal specials were so unique, we got the harry's bb (espresso, cream soda, butter, butterscotch, caramel, cream top, gold finish) and it blew our minds. Felt super indulgent yet well-balanced. Our cortado and macchiato were also delicious. The interior was very cool as well, it felt like we were in Europe. There were also lots of dogs in there which was so fun to see. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. Couldn't recommend more!“

“We loved our visit to Camel this morning. I’ve been out of the city for a while and I’m happy to see such a unique shop pop up. It reminded me of Star Wars inside ? obviously desert themed. Place was packed with college students and being in such a lively place made studying a lot more enjoyable. The place almost seems too good to be true as you can set your own prices for whatever you order so long as its over a dollar; your first order is actually free! I got the vanilla oatmilk latte and was shocked at just how good it is. I wish I knew about this place sooner knowing i've been paying $7.50 for coffee that wasnt as good. “Tartine Silver Lake is a gem! The space is open and inviting, with a great neighborhood vibe. I grabbed a morning pastry and a coffee for pickup, and everything was ready fast and tasted incredible. The croissant was buttery and flaky—definitely one of the best in LA. The coffee was rich and smooth. Staff were friendly and upbeat, even with a line forming. “This is a nice family-owned type place serving primarily Mexican and Mexican-inspired dishes. We went for breakfast and had omelettes - very tasty. The ambience is clean, quiet, and friendly. Prices are in line with the area (this is Hollywood after all) but trending to the more affordable end of the scale. There is a very nice outdoor seating area and a very small parking lot. There is more parking in the nearby area but you'll have to take a short walk. The service was fast, accurate, and attentive. Our overall experience was excellent and we've already decided to come back next time we're in this area.“

2025: as good as ever, good coffee + espresso, great baked goods, good breads, outside seating, the take out salads are overpriced and not that interesting, always helpful staff. too bad they close for food at 3:oo. owner Hans has a couple of local high price restaurants: Janes in the MDR. good though.“

“Good food for what seemed to be a small neighborhood café. The coffees are large, and even the standard coffee was premium. The steak and eggs were delicious and provided a brown gravy which I have not only had with my steak and eggs, but was welcome to surprise.“

They use Rocky’s blend which is socially questionable since it’s not a Japanese brand and high retail pricing but who are we kidding they nail it with the matcha flavor profile: Asian American’s favorite-nutty and umami. And pairing it with the cafe’s cream foam makes the drinks creamy and just sweet enough! This was my favorite matcha drink in LA.“
