“Love the dishes. House made pasta. Mussels Steamer. Beet salad. Escargots. Ham and sunny egg crepe. Bread with butter and olive oil. Blueberry cheese cake.
We also came back for coffee. It's a nice place with nice hosts.
I guess the only thing can be better is that bread could be on the house. It's a lunch time though. I would expect the dinner comes with bread.“

“You have to go to l'Appart by Air Food to experience a delicious French bistrot ambiance. The ambiance outside is very friendly, covid-safe and cosy. The dishes are beyond delicious. Yesterday I had the Plat du Jour with delicious scallops and home made very tasty mash potato puree. The plate are so beautifully presented - it is a pleasure to look. The desserts were delicious as well. There is a shade that separates the table from the streets for privacy. Free parking in the corner street. Brigitte the waitress is very welcoming and the owner / chef are beyond nice. An address to discover !“

“First time solo customer; sat outside, and my breakfast was très bon! Served with grace, care, and pride. Every single ingredient was wonderful and cooked perfectly. All the flavors and textures commingled beautifully.
They can’t help it that the building next to them is boarded up. All the employees could not have been more pleasant and friendly. Definitely will return and bring friends. Oui, I recommend!“

“We were a walk in with zero expectations considering the neighborhood this is located in, but wow -- it was lovely. The selections on both food and wine menus were limited, but very good. Much like a proper european restaurant, they are not trying to be everything and OK at it, they do a few things on which they excel. Atmosphere was great, much more Silverlake than Lincoln Heights. I recommend highly and will be back.“

“Chef Gary Menes works a miracle in his three person kitchen where you sit at the counter and watch the meal evolve. Be aware that there is an only one seating at the counter and that all diners your evening must be present to begin the meal. The restaurant only seats 11 max per night and is located in the historic Hotel Normandie in K-town. Each course is beautifully plated and although all gourmet vegetarian inspired, the beef substitution was amazing. The wine pairings with each course inspired. Amazing, memorable meal!“

“If you want a wonderful cocktail and good food, Camelia is great. What it lacked though was a bit of equity. I made a reservation for 7:00pm, was five minutes early to the restaurant, and walk in patrons received a better table than what I was offered for my husband and I. We literally sat next to a planter at the entrance, so my husband had numerous people (who were waiting to be seated) standing one foot away from his back the entire dinner. Thankfully he did not complain about it. Was it because we were new? Was it because they thought we would not spend? I was not sure. The hostess was a bit dismissive. Although the majority of the food was excellent, and the serving staff was kind, our small appetizers did not come out at the right time (kitchen timing). One small plate did, but the others were served when our dinner was served. Our salad of kabocha squash was served following the entree and it seemed quickly assembled and too cold, as if it just moved out of a refrigerator. The burrata made the radicchio mushy and the squash was undercooked as well. The two items of note were the cocktails (I recommend the Vieux Carre) and the roasted mushroom small plate. I have a shrimp allergy so I had to avoid most of the menu (too bad), but the New York steak and Grilled Loup De Mer (Branzino) was excellent. Plan to spend approximately $400, plus tip for a full spread and drinks.“

“Delicious food. My favs are zucchini pizza and salmon tartine - must try! If you like olives, order too, you'll be surprised with how great they are here. Honestly, every dish I've ever ordered here was great. And the quality is consistently hight throughout the years. Good selection of wine and cocktails as well. Recommend, recommend, recommend!“
“Spouse and I came here last Saturday and had a great experience, the environment with the candles, the music, the beautiful interior, and of course the food and welcoming/warm service, the steak and branzino was fantastic. Jocelyn will welcome you the same way he does with Oste next door, and see Tito for a great Martini, we are so happy to have them in the neighborhood!“

“Tucked into an LA corner, this teacup-sized portal feels conjured by a black cat, a fairy, and a wizard in rare collaboration. The diminutive doorframe whispers secrets to passing giants, beckoning imagination far more than practical entry. Step inside, and an intimate cocoon of magic and extravagance unravels and envelops you, every detail a carefully curated spell.
Five-star enchantment for dreamers, a must for anyone with an eclectic palate and an insatiable appetite for the singular and surreal. ❤️“

“This creperie is super cozy, even though it's a bit hidden because of construction. But it's open and they're really welcoming! Prices are low, and the vibe is cool. I really liked the savory crepe, it was interesting and tasty. The sweet one I got wasn't amazing, but it was still fine. They also have tea and coffee.“

“La Poubelle is such a vibe. As soon as we walk in, it feels like we’ve stepped into a little corner of France. There are these gorgeous red lamps on every table, a b/w French movie playing in the background, and Edith Piaf’s voice floating through the speakers - seriously, it’s like time-traveling to Paris.
I tried their matcha drink (the one with the flower and mint on top) and it was sooo pretty - and actually really good. Light, a little earthy, and not too sweet. The coq au vin (hope I pronounced it correctly) was amazing. Super rich and flavorful - total comfort food but fancy. Every bite felt like something you’d get at a cozy French bistro. Honestly, between the food, the music, and the whole atmosphere, I kind of forgot I was still in LA. 9/10“

“Zinque in Century City is a favorite weekend casual brunch spot. The food is always amazing and they have great healthy choices. This time we all had the breakfast bowl with quinoa, poached egg, avocado, salad and a delicious tahini sauce plus mimosas. They even have a very tasty nonalcoholic prosecco. The staff is always very welcoming and knowledgeable.“

“Last weekend I stopped by while walking through the farmers market, I wasn’t really planning to eat anything sweet, but the smell of those crepes was impossible to ignore. I ordered a strawberry and nutella one and they made it fresh right in front of me, the crepe was warm and soft. I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed it, I’m usually more of a savory person, but this really hit the spot.“

“Le Frenchie Café is a cute little French inspired spot with a nice patio, though be aware it's right on a busy main road, so it's not the most peaceful setting. Service was friendly and attentive, and prices are very reasonable.
The pastries were the highlight--super flaky and fresh. They leaned on the sweeter side (a bit too sweet for me), but still really tasty. Pro tip: definitely ask them to warm them up, it makes a big difference.
The coffee, unfortunately, was the biggest letdown. It tasted watered down and lacked depth or richness, which is disappointing since good coffee and pastries should go hand in hand.
Overall, worth a stop if you're in the area and craving something sweet, but maybe grab your coffee elsewhere.“

“I was invited to this restaurant that is inside of Level 8 in DTLA.
It’s a nice place. It’s an experience for sure.
It was crowded! It was a Saturday night; after all.
Courteous staff greeting. Pleasant servers.
Crispy and cold champagne. Stiff cocktails.
Overall good food; the beet salad WOW!
It did seem a little unorganized all together and all around.
First course was a salad and it took almost 30 minutes to come out. I finally asked the server who was a darling: (Dionne) Are you short staffed?
She replied; “no we’re not short staffed, it’s coming.”
After the salad it all seemed to have fallen into place.
A magician came to our table and he was somewhat funny. He definitely made the wait for food seem shorter as he entertained us with his cards.
I had a good time. Too crowded for me. Too loud, too. I’ve never been to a restaurant for dinner this crowded and this loud.
My date and I walked next door (literally) to Wanderlust and the live band was good. A Dj came after and was good, too. We had a table but our server came once and never again. Frankly; Wanderlust seemed over capacity.
We left early because it was too packed and couldn’t get a second round of cocktails at our table.
There was a lot of people standing in front of our table and in particular two very tall men in their grey, sweat pants and sweat shirt, sets.
Where did the dress code go? It’s L. A and it’s a Saturday night people! Cmon…..
I recommend experiencing Maison Kasai at least once.
Again, for me, the beet salad was the MVP of the night.
Hope you’re all enjoying your summer……“
