“Schwartz Catering did a magnificent job at our son's bar mitzvah weekend.The food and desserts at the synagogue kiddish, at our Shabbat family/friends lunch, and at the bar mitzvah party itself were beyond delicious. The service was first-rate and Moshe Hecht did a phenomenal and thorough job of running all 3 events. We had to worry about nothing and Moshe and his staff took care of everything with superlative service. This is the 3rd time in 5 years that we've used Schwartz Catering for a major event (200+ people) and it gets better and better each time. At the highest level, we recommend Schwartz Catering for your simcha or special event.“

“Tried this deli after walking in there last time just to buy a side of pepperoncini. I purchased a brisket and pastrami sandwich, and a 1/2 pound cut of fatty brisket. We all thought it was a pleasant sandwich and was flavorful but not too heavy. I will go eat there again, and try some other items. The sides of cooked vegetables and the mashed potatoes as well as the potato salad were delicious as well.

“Bagels were good but place was very dirty and the bagels had flies. There was more than one display compartment that had several flies and the outside tables were a mess. If you can overlook those things than you'll enjoy the bagels.“

“Food is delicious and unique. Good atmosphere, beautiful light and tree outside seating. They do a nice job singing and celebrating birthdays and there is usually a few. Branzino is amazing, and the cauliflower salad is a favorite. Highly recommend for special occasions.“

“Pat’s food never disappoints. I’ve dined here for years and been to many events catered by Pat’s and the quality and consistency are fantastic. Some of our favorite dishes: avocado egg rolls, tuna tartar tacos, Chinese chicken salad, bbq chicken salad, penne vodka, pasta arrabiata, mixed grill, chicken Milanese … but really you cannot go wrong here. So thankful to have this place! The only bummer is that they recently lost the lease on the outdoor space, so they’ve moved inside, and the ambiance is not the same.“

“I went to Geshmak last week on a Thursday. It was a great ambiance to be in plus they had their Shabbos Takeout Menu available (yes, they had cholent). The food was spectacular and the service was even better! I very much appreciated the kid's menu, although very simple, my kids ate it all and that's always the hard part. The dine-in kid's menu has a coloring sheet so the kids were entertained the whole time! 10/10 would come back again.“

“My sister and I drive all the way out from Arizona just to get Fred's delicious cheese bagels and lox, chai latte (which is a must), and various baked goods. Yes, it is totally worth it. Avi (the owner) is amazing and always takes the time to serve all his patrons with whatever they desire for the day. Anything you get from here is totally worth the wait and always comes with a smile. You won't be disappointed at Fred's!“

“So I ordered to go. the pizza tasted ok but the edges were a little burned, which was disappointing. But they made the food fast, and it was ready on time for me to pick up this was on Saturday night no less when they open after the sabbath. So I have to give them a thumbs up for that.“

Loved the tostada and margarita pizzas.

For large orders: Note that pizzas are sliced very thin so your guests are likely to eat 4 or 5 slices rather than the typical 2. Order more pizzas than you think you'll need.

“We try to go to Pat's Restaurant every time we're in LA, which is usually 2-3 times a year. But with Covid, we haven't traveled much. However, we felt safer coming back this month, and of course we immediately made a reservation for Pat's. When we got to the restaurant, we saw that it was dark and closed. Fortunately a passer-by was able to point us across Pico and a block further west to Pat's "new" site, which it's been at for the past two years. They've converted a parking lot adjacent to what might have been a restaurant into a lovely outdoor spot, with tables well spaced and plantings and romantic lights. However, the food hasn't changed: it was as good as ever from the new kitchen, wth a few new dishes and all the old favorites. The night we were there the special was lamb chops. I ordered them medium rare, and they arrived medium, but I wouldn't let Ciro, our charming and excellent waiter return them, because they were as tender and delicious as any I've ever had. Wow! My husband had the BBQ-beef sliders as an appetizer, and he loved them. His chicken tagine with couscous was a treat. We didn't order dessert, because we were too full, but the chcolate bread pudding looked delicious. Pat's was smart to move to an all-weather (tent, plus heaters for cooler evenings) location where those of us who love Pat's can feel as well cared for as always. And if you go, ask for Ciro. He made our evening even more special.“

Ordered multiple dishes which we all shared (highly recommended approach), everything was excellent from steak to chicken, to coleslaw salad, to salmon, to cauliflower. Service was good, the staff is really nice, and the desserts were very good. Not rushed out after dinner allowing us to catch up and continue the conversation. If looking for a cool kosher place in LA, this is the place.“

“I got a cream cheese bagel sandwhich with pickles cucumbers and tomatoes and it was delish! The staff were super welcoming and the location is clean with a nice outdoor seating area right in on pico. The bagel was so good that halfway through my sandwhich I went and bought more to take home!!!! Great family environment a bunch of kids came in after me.
If you turn right around the corner with the auto shop and drive up half a block there plenty of places to park in the residential area“
