“Truly professional yet very friendly service. Well-trained young servers and chefs all knew their precise roles, and performed flawlessly but without hurry. Almost seemed choreographed! Delicious lighter broth and lovely taste. Sinfully tasty pork and beware addictive fried chicken. If you’re dieting, bring a hearty portion of self-restraint!“

“Was in the mood for some good ramen, and Josui didn’t disappoint. I let our server know it was our first time at the restaurant and his recommendations were stellar. Started with the Nagoya chicken wings, which were delicious not overly battered. I highly recommend the Tantam Men bowl, i added a level 2 spice to it and it was wonderful. Cooled down the heat with a cold draft Sapporo. Good customer service. Small bar area.“

“Reason for visiting:
Date/time of visit: Thursday Afternoon lunch, ~12:30 PM
Parking: I parked in the paid parking garage at the Culver steps; paid $2 after dobe with lunch so assume good for ~2 hours. My coworker found street parking 1-2 blocks away if you want to try to find street parking but $2 is reasonable
Party size: 4
Environment/ambience: smallish place with few tables and some outdoor seating. No TVs inside; not too loud inside. Pets allowed but prob outdoor only. Clean restrooms. Lots of things to see and visit around too; downtown Culver City has things within walking distance and outdoor grass areas to hang out around
Service: was great; came around often. Friendly too.
Food: had the W Chashu Ramen with egg; they do not serve alcohol here.
Cost: ~$140 with tip; $2 parking.
Would I go back (yes/no): 80/20; parking can be a hassle but food was great“

I got the black garlic hanasaku Ramen bowl, goyza, and a strawberry tea. the employees were so friendly and the food was fast, fresh, and delicious! I wish this was available in my local area, it would be a huge hit.“

“The best ramen in Culver City! I first had Ippudo in New York over a decade ago went it was arguable the top ramen spot in the entire city. Since then I’ve had it in Tokyo and now am so glad to have here in Culver. The Akamaru Modern is still as excellent and balanced a bowl as it’s always been.“

“I have had many many bowls of ramen in Los Angeles, this may be the best one ever. For once the bamboo shoots floating the bowl are actually worth eating! Usually I wonder why are they there? These were delicious. Even more so regarding the slices of pork. They are often like rubber doggy chew toys. These on the other hand were tender, flavorful and truly wonderful. Of course the most important part is the noodles and these were perfectly cooked al dente. This was a bowl of pure satisfaction. I also tried my friends scallops bowl and my wife's crispy chicken and both made me sorry I didn't order them, too. Finally, my big issue with asian restaurants in general is quality of dessert. Here is a beautiful slice of Yuzu cheesecake, presented with wonderful dollops of cream and sauce. Should have order one for each of us instead of sharing! This is the place. I can't wait to try everything on the menu.“

“Absolutely amazing experience every time I come here. The food is consistently delicious, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. You can really tell the chef knows what they’re doing. The quality and presentation are top-notch. The place is always clean and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I genuinely love coming here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great ramen.“

“There are several options for ramen in our neighborhood, much to our delight. The one we always go back to is here at HiroNori. The tonkotsu ramen dish combo is sublime. The pork buns are delicious too. But what really helps this place stand apart are the little things: ice cold water with infused fruits and herbs (different everyday), the friendly and caring staff, and intimate space that offers different dining experiences (bar seating facing the kitchen, tables thrown together for a larger party, bar seating facing the window). We are regulars because the quality bar is consistently high, and the food is chef's kiss.“

“This was fantastic!!!!!!!!! For money, what an amazing value! I didn’t expect any quality when I saw kiosk but was pleasantly surprised of the appetizers - pork buns and crispy rice thing. It’s comparable to what you get at a fancy name Asian restaurants.“

“I loved the vegan broth options! Glad we could find a place that has more vegan friendly broth and toppings! Our server Jeraldine was awesome and she took care of our complicated order due to our food allergies! We will be back again!“

“Loved Loved Loved the food and attentive staff. The young men serving us worked fast and kept us informed when our table would be ready. We wanted to sit at a table, rather than the counter. I learned this place stays open late on the weekends and this is where many restaurant staff come to eat! This place is tiny, yet cozy. The tables are placed a bit close, but you still have privacy.
She shared the gyoza which was crispy on the outside and flavorful inside. One friend ordered the yakisoba and I tasted it which was very good, I will order it next time. My other friend ordered the mabo tofu which I also had a chance to taste and I could easily understand why my friend says this dish is her comfort food. I ordered the Tan Tan Ramen and it was so good! I took half home to share with my husband.
There are so many other dishes I want to try next time! Free parking on the lot. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table, which was totally ok. because the food was so good! Prices are reasonable too. OH! They have Happy Hour!!!“

“Decided to try out this local spot on a whim and i'm really glad I did. I pulled up 15 minutes until closing and the waitress still took my order to go. Dine in was no longer available which was understandable. She was very witty and funny, excellent service and I enjoyed the unexpected laughter. Food was ready super quick and she even met me at the door to pick it up. The food was incredible, very rich flavor and made with love. I ordered the #4 which was recommended by her. I am looking forward to dining in next time, really nice spot. Go check it out.“

“Waited approximately one hour to be seated. Spoiker: it was well worth that wait. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and pork buns. I can't decide which part was better, the noodles or the broth! The pork buns were priced just right at $8 for 2. Some of the best I've had. You are all so lucky to have such a wonderful ramen bar in your community. I am from Maine and will be sure to stop by this establishment every chance I get once I am in town.“

“Part of a chain, the Manhattan Beach Silverlake Ramen serves up a solid meal of Ramen (also saves me from driving to Sawtelle Blvd to eat). The Ramen is well prepared, properly spiced/flavored, and served at a proper temperature. This is the go to dish when you come here. I get the Blaze with pork because I want the extra spice level and it warms me up in the winter.
The rice bowl and the appetizers are all tasty and well prepared with good sized portions.
Service is good and they will attend to your needs but the wait staff is in between a lot of tables so it can get slightly spotty during service rushes. They will drop water carafes on the table so you do not need to ask for refills. There is a Silverlake Rewards app that is great to use to get free items if you consistently dine here, so I suggest downloading it. The points update quickly after you pay for a meal.
The environment is inside but the end of the restaurant is open to the outside of the Manhattan Village outside mall area. There are plenty of heat lamps if you are near the outside so you will stay warm. The bathrooms are clean and well serviced.
Definitely will return to dine here.“
