“Best seafood and Japanese food I've ever had in my life — not exaggerating. The freshest seafood you'll ever taste. I brought multiple people here and they agree I'm not exaggerating. The quality is unlike anything else in LA. Everything is incredible but the raw seafood gets the most special shoutout.“

“So delicious and fresh. I could eat here everyday! Ordered with Uber eats when visiting for a conference. Soupchu became my go to meal for my trip and felt healthy and satisfied hitting all the foodie spots. Chicken soup and stuffed eggplant was the best I’ve had in a long time!“

The best soup ever! And the rice is really good as we’ll even take-out. My friend said their kimchi is authentic and surprisingly delicious(I don’t eat kimchi so.)The staffs there are welcoming. There are only sells the beef bone soup, after you tried you’ll know why. Because they just want to make a product the best, but they do it! Even though i don’t have soup often, this time i finished it all. It’s really worth visiting again!“

“The stars aligned. We were overjoyed to find a BOB vegan restaurant, inspired by grandcestor Dr. Sebi's alkaline nutritional guide. Highly recommend Beyond Vegan - Culver City. The food was flavorful. My friend ordered the namesake quesadillas, and I ordered the jackfruit tacos with mango salsa. Double the flavor - we shared our meals. Yum! The portions were large, filling, and pleased my soul. What I thought to be a side of mashed sweet potatoes was warm, smooth mashed beans. Tacos and quesadillas on point. Purple wild rice was a delightful surprise. Diversity in texture, flavor, colors, and quality ingredients. No better way to catch up with a friend than eating outdoors at Beyond Vegan!“

“Craving homey, flavorful, and authentic Korean meal? Look no further than JunTong SulLungTang! This cozy hole-in-the-wall delivers on the most amazing Sul Lung Tang (Korean Ox Bone Soup)!
Located in a free parking lot (a rarity in Ktown), this unassuming restaurant is small but cozy. The interior is simple and unassuming but the food packs a punch!
Their Sul Lung Tang is flavorful, rich, and simmered to authentic perfection. You can season it to your liking and add as few or as many green onions as you prefer. The banchan (side dishes) are simple but tasty. The kimchi is just … yum! Whether you are under the weather, feeling like eating something homey, or looking for your next authentic Korean meal, JunTong SulLungTang will most certainly satisfy your cravings!
The staff is extremely nice and friendly. They are also attentive despite always being busy.
Overall, JunTong SulLungTang is a not-so-hidden gem for authentic Korean food that won’t disappoint!“

“This is authentic Japanese! I had their Curry udon and it was amazing. It was served super hot(not spicy) just the way I like my noodles. Came with a small salad and those rice things(yummy). 20 bucks for the meal, Not bad at all.
Not their fault but people kept walking in and leaving the door wide open and creating a cold draft. I would recommend attaching a spring or someway to automatically shut the door.
**Update, I went back. This time I got the chicken katsu curry and I was not disappointed. It was a lot of food and came with sashimi, cold ramen, and even 2 slices of roll. I think this is turning into my go to spot.“

“I'm in town for an event and we were looking for a place open to eat. We found this place and it is a gem! I ordered a Jasmine tea & Pho Nam (brisket). It was SO good! One of the best bowls of pho I've had in quite some time. The broth was perfectly flavored and the meat was good as well. My tea also tasted great without any sweetner added to it. My friend ordered a bun combo with a side soup and also said it was very good. We ordered and got our food pretty quickly. The server was friendly and very attentive. The pricing was also very good for the portions you get. I paid for our teas & both meals and it came out to $34+tip. If I'm ever back in town, I would definitely eat here again!“

“The restaurant is such a good vibe. It brings the true Korean culture out within the restaurant and the food. I really enjoyed every single bite. I took eating here at this restaurant. I recommend to everyone that lives in Los Angeles or anyone coming to visit Los Angeles if they want to experience Korean culture in LA.“

“This place is known for their galbi jjeem and I should have tried it. But (a) the portions are huuuge, as in for more than 1 person, maybe up to 4 people, and (b) at $100 it is expensive. I should return with a large group so we can order and share it. There is an option for cheese which the waiter will use a torch at the table to melt and toast it. I've never had galbi jjeem with cheese. Maybe it tastes like a cheeseburger? I'd be willing to try is there was an option to have it on the side, vs fully committing by covering everything with it.
So for this visit I had the sollung tang with tendon. It hit the spot, very creamy and flavorful, and the tendon was soft & tender. I would definitely return for this alone.“

“Having visited Luke's in New York and also ordered online to our West Coast home, was guardedly excited to see how this phenomenal product has translated out west. I was delightfully surprised with not only the consistently amazing food, but also the accommodating and attentive customer service. I took an order to go with about an hour and a half drive to my home from the Santa Monica location and everything arrived perfectly and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Keep up the great work!!!!“

“The restaurant that showed us that samgyetang can be rich.
Various medicinal ingredients seem to contribute to the rich Korean soup. If you eat oriental medicine samgyetang when you have a cold, it seems to be good for replenishing your energy. Wouldn't the king of old have samgyetang like this when he caught a cold?
Anyway, if you have a cold, make sure to catch it~“

“An unassuming storefront but their meats and banchan were top-notch. We had the prime sirloin steak. It was substantial, super tender, and very tasty. Also tried their famous marinated pork ribs, which were perfectly seasoned, with a balanced sweetness to bring out the flavour of the meat… don’t forget to dip it in the sesame oil and sea salt!
The service was excellent. Our server was very kind, efficient and made sure we had all that we needed while she helped us grill our meats with a practiced hand. The banchan was fresh, with crunchy seasoned vegetables that held their flavour and vibrancy. My personal favourites were the pickled white onions and marinated beansprouts. Authentic and on-point.
On top of that, we came on New Year’s Eve and they were accommodating, patient and made it an occasion to remember with the best KBBQ we’ve had, ever. Quality we appreciated.
Parking is valet at $4 as of NYE 2024.

“Perfect small restaurant with delicious Thai food, easy parking nearby, great prices & portions! Highly recommend the Tom Kah, Red Curry, and Thai tea. Inside you’ll find walls of signed celeb photos, pics of their food options, and decor.
Food came out in no time, hot, and portions were 💯🙌🏼 - check out the 0.5 pic! I’m vegetarian so it is amazing that the tofu and vegetable options were plentiful!
Service was incredible: friendly, efficient, and locally owned.
Will certainly be returning and recommending it as a regular spot for my friends.“

“It's been a while since I posted it and ate it. It turned out like garlic bossam and green onion bossam.
You~~~~ I enjoyed eating the radish. It was so delicious because I wrapped it with the ssam (ssam) you gave me and the perilla leaves and jalapenos I had at home.^^
It was the happiest lunch I've had in a long time. I was impressed haha. Isn't garlic bossam the only flavor you get at Mr. Bossam? I haven't seen it anywhere else yet. I recommend it.
I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture haha.“

“Nong La has a dedicated Canto Viet man diligently directing the back of the house day in and day out, making sure the food hits their level of comfortable consistent cuisine, which won’t exactly blow minds or taste buds, but fills an exotic unfamiliar question mark into a manageable modern meal. But there’s this really Skinny Canto Viet lady bossing a bunch of diverse ppl around… she’s kinda scary at times and fiery at times… I suspect Nong La (Nong La means Burning) was named after the hot heat came from her own… hot… …..!😉🤓🔥🥵)“

“Glad Hurry Curry has reopened after closing their Sawtelle location. if you are new and don't know what to order, try the chicken cutlet curry and the Chicken pasta with Alfredo sauce. The curry is bold and savory. make sure to request picked vegetables for the curry. the chicken pasta is also rich and savory. both dishes complement each other without repeating the same experience. the portions are large so bring friends or bring home plenty of portions for leftovers.“

“Wow, so delicious. I wanted some good food for lunch before studying at M3 nearby and this place is tucked into the corner of the same strip mall. The woman was very nice and recommended the Beef Galbi-Tang, which was so delicious and had a perfectly rich broth. It came with good portions of kimchi and radish kimchi, rice, and a dipping sauce for the meat in the soup. I will definitely be ordering here again on chilly days.“

“I have been eating at this restaurant for the last 5 years and I absolutely love the yellow chicken curry. It's actually the only thing I've ever gotten and I've gotten it over 60 times. I just tried the pad Thai chicken noodles last night for the first time and although it tasted really great, I noticed my heart was racing a little bit after I ate it which only happens when I consume MSG. I seem to be the only one in my family that is sensitive to MSG, but I definitely feel it. There's been many studies about how MSG is not very healthy for most people so I'm leaving this comment in hopes that pad Thai on Beverly follows what many other restaurants are doing and removes MSG as an ingredient in certain dishes. Luckily, they do not use MSG in the yellow chicken curry. Again, this is a really amazing restaurant.“

“Let's be real, sometimes restaurant names escape me. But when my wife says "Korean soup place with all the Korean senior citizens," I instantly remember she means Tofu Village in Gardena.
Here's the thing: if you walk into a Korean restaurant and it's filled with Korean senior citizens, you know the food is legit. And Tofu Village? It's always bustling with them, which is a testament to the authentic, soul-warming dishes they serve.
Their specialty is Soon Tofu, and it's honestly the best value on the menu. A bubbling hot stone bowl filled with flavorful broth, silky tofu, and your choice of protein (I'm a beef guy, through and through)? It's pure comfort food.
But the real star of the show, in my opinion, is the banchan. Those unlimited vegetable side dishes? They're a feast in themselves! Fresh, flavorful, and constantly refilled. And even when you order to go, they don't skimp. They pack up little aluminum foil containers with the best of the bunch, which is a thoughtful touch.
Tofu Village isn't fancy, and it doesn't need to be. It's authentic, delicious, and makes you feel good from the inside out. It's a 5-star experience, and I'll keep coming back for that warm, comforting bowl of Soon Tofu. And those banchan, of course!“

I'm posting this because I saw the malicious comments and felt like they were ignoring my favorite restaurant, Kimchi Sujebi.

“Excellent place to eat and take away too!!! The waitress was very friendly and we ordered 4 rolls to try since it was the first time. We took the combo 3 rolls for 21, and lobster pop roll, they were super, very good flavor and well reported, it's more filling than rice ❤️ and we love that, it was to go but they gave us a delicious complimentary cherry flavor ice cream, delicious no We expected it and it was a ?we definitely recommend it. Super clean and welcoming and they are attentive to needs without feeling harassed. ??????“

“Pretty standard Korean food. I got the galbi combo with the regular beef soup (medium spice), and the galbi was BY FAR the best part of the meal. Juicy, tender, and seasoned to perfection. My only gripe is I wish there were more! The tofu soup was just okay—I’ve had better at other Korean restaurants like BCD. All in all, not bad at all for somewhere located in a place known for Japanese food!“

“As someone who likes korean food this was a place I wanted to go and try. I want to find a restaurant that feels reminiscent of good ol' home style cooking. You know those places that locals go to, that's what I found here. We went for dinner in the middle of the week and were seated right away. We were the only 2 that looked "out of place". Our server greeted us right away and let us know she would be happy to answer any questions we had or would be glad to give a recommendation on what to order. We got a combo of hot stone bibimbap and galbi. I also got us an order of bossam with kimchi. The banchan they served was delicious, my favorite was the cucumber. My only complaint would be that it was too warm inside and I was sweating throughout the whole meal.“

“A nice restaurant for Korean comfort food. The bibimbap was good. It feels less Americanized than most restaurants, which was a good thing. We were a bit sad that the samgye tang didn’t have ginseng in it. I think it might be in the broth when they cook it but we usually get the real ginseng our dish too when ordering this. Overall, the taste was good.“
