“Came here for dinner yesterday and honestly had such a great time. The vibe is really chill but still feels upscale, love that combo. Great place to catch up with friends or a date night with your special one.

Everything we ordered was delicious, but here are the highlights:
Fried chicken - crispy, juicy, great flavor. Simple but done really well.
Rasa sliders - these are a MUST. So buttery and perfectly seasoned, we were obsessed.
White elephant butter paper dosa - another must-get! Super fun to eat and the dosa itself is perfectly crispy. The real move is trying it with all the different sauces, each one hits differently.
Duck - loved the balance of rice, meat and veggies. Nothing overdone, just really well put together.

Finished with the coconut puma for dessert and it was such a good call. Perfect way to end the meal. Would def come back to this hidden gem​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​“

“First time at dinner here. We started with rajasthani patta chaat . it was really good. very authentic taste from North India. paani puri was great too.
Dal Makhani deserves special mention. Cooked to perfection but why would they put sugar in it😏 my only reason for a 4. malai kofta and lachha parantha were great. I would recommend this place for a wholesome family meal.

“We stopped there on our way to catch our flight at SF airport. We were short on time and we placed our order. Our server was fantastic helping us to order and we were served our dinner promptly. There was a feeling that all the staff worked together as a team, looking after all the tables not just their own station. That is a sign of true teamwork. We really enjoyed our dinner there. “I had a fantastic dinner at Curry and Kabab in San Mateo tonight! The **Soya Chaap** was incredibly flavorful and well-textured, and the **Aloo Gobi** was cooked to perfection with just the right balance of spices. Pairing them with their fresh, warm **Naan** made for a truly satisfying meal.

If you're looking for authentic flavors and great service in San Mateo, this spot is a must-visit. Five stars all the way!

“Clay Oven is our go-to Indian restaurant. Food is really delicious! We usually order a couple of Chicken Tikka Masala (mild and med spicy), Rogan Josh, Naan and some rice. I like their mango lassi too. The staff is really friendly and kind to our kids. Highly recommended!“

“Been eating here basically since it opened. Used to be another Indian place that I frequented but when Tilak took over, the food took a leap up.

It's still one of the best Indian restaurants in the city. Easily. Everything is so good and flavorful... from basics like dahl and butter chicken to more unusual dishes like masala lamb racks and goan prawns. If something on the menu looks a bit unusual, that you don't recognize from other Indian places, I recommend going for it.

Tilak himself and the rest of the staff are friendly and awesome, but the food... Just great stuff all the way down the menu.

So, yeah, easily my favorite Indian place in SF and the place we've been doing our company holiday dinner for the last five or six years.“

Just tried the falafel plate at **Halal Shop San Francisco** and OMG — it’s next-level delicious! 😍 The falafels were perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and that creamy white sauce with the spicy red drizzle took it to another dimension 🔥🔥🔥! The rice was fluffy, the salad was super fresh, and the whole plate looked like a piece of art 😋💚

The vibes were great, service was fast, and everything tasted 100% fresh and halal 🕌✨

Our friends picked this place and we dropped in for a late night quick bite after their long flight, and it turned out to be a really good choice.

The Brussels sprouts were tasty, though a little heavy on the fried onions.

We had a small mix-up on our side with the Manchurian and realized it was chicken, not gobi. No fault of the restaurant!

My favorite was the pan-fried paneer momos—really good. Our friends enjoyed the chicken momos, and we also tried the black salt soda, with the black salt on the side first just to experiment ;)

Small, cozy place, friendly service, and perfect for a quick bite after an airport pickup. Would definitely come back!“

“Wanted to like this place more. Dosa Box is one of the ghost kitchens in San Mateo Food Mall. Ordered from the website for pick up. You get a text when it's ready, go inside and check in with the worker who is at the desk. They open the locker for you where the food is placed.

Our dosas were completely soggy. Would have been very good if it was still crispy. Although it makes sense that dosa would not be a good take out item. They could've poked holes in the box or put the masala potatoes separate instead of inside the dosa to maintain crispiness.

Also just a note if anyone was wondering, the masala dosa comes with sambar (since the menu is not clear about that).“

“All the food are good and the service as well ! I wanna give 4.5 star as the chicken is not cooked enough and kinda have the raw flavor but other meats are all well cooked just the chicken tho ! “I was there about a hour and a half ago they were very friendly I ordered the Zante’s special I left Zante pizza to wait for my pizza to be ready my mind was not here due to just leaving a funeral!!!! I left my purse and my phone on the chair by time I realized I panicked ran back up the street to Zante’s and my phone and purse was sitting right where I left it I was so relieved and grateful!!!
