50 Best Vegan Restaurants near Montecito

“We just came back from Europe last July. We dined in The Ledbury by Chef Brett Graham, and at The Dorchester by Alain Ducasse, also at four different Michelin Star restaurants in Montpellier, and finally at Bistrot64 by Chef Giacomo Zezza and La Pergola by Chef Heinz Beck in Rome. I am not listing all these restaurants to brag but just to make the readers aware that I am a food enhusiast (in my opinion). Dining at Caruso’s again, my impression? The over-all experience was SUPERB! It was really a THREE-Michelin Star experience! Whenever we dine in these kinds of restaurants, I am always searching for the surprise effect in my palate. One of my favorite movies is the cartoon about a Rat Chef, Ratatouille, when he was describing the mélange of food in his palate and fireworks appeared in his mind, and when the scary critic was brought back to his childhood after he had the first bite of this simple peasant dish ratatouille, those are some scenes that come to mind. The meals are like that in Caruso, they are exceptional! Of course, I have to mention the impeccable service of everybody particularly of our main waiter Alejandro and his assistant Ana, and the Sommelier of the night, forgot his name but he looks like Tom Cruise. And the ambiance? Oh, our view was the beautiful pink sunset across the Pacific and the gentle waves of the ocean. Caruso should have attained the Three Michelin Star status already!“

“We had an amazing brunch at Jeannine’s! Our Havana latte was delicious! We tried Santa Barbara scrambled, tri tip sandwich, avocado toast and tuna melt sandwich were all good! We also had the coconut pineapple scone — best scone I’ve ever had. Service was excellent as well. I highly recommend this restaurant 👍🏽👍🏽“

“I had the pleasure of dining at The Revere Room for their Christmas Day Four-Course Prix-Fixe Menu, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. The flavor combinations, presentation, and overall taste of every dish made my holiday even brighter.

What stood out even more than the amazing food was the incredible staff.

First, Vicente was the star of the evening—an outstanding server who greeted me with such warmth, it felt like I was a guest in his home. His detailed descriptions of the dishes, thoughtful drink recommendations, and overall positive energy set the tone for a fantastic meal.

Next, JJ delivered the food with speed and precision, offering helpful guidance on the tasting order to ensure I got the most out of each dish.

Rounding out the team was Asher, seamlessly managing multiple tables with efficiency and grace.

This level of teamwork is clearly a reflection of exceptional leadership, and that brings me to Mr. Arturo, the Big Boss. Arturo’s passion for hospitality shines through in everything he does. With a wealth of experience in the restaurant industry and as a standout hotel school graduate, he was actively involved throughout the evening—checking in with customers, directing staff, and anticipating needs before they even arose. He even bussed tables, delivered food, and took drink orders to ensure no table went unnoticed in the packed dining room.

If you’re considering dining here, I cannot recommend The Revere Room enough, especially for a special Prix-Fixe event. The combination of exquisite food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere is truly unparalleled. 10/10 experience!“

“We stopped by during a cruise day and I am so glad we did! We got seasoned chips and salsa when we were seated. I ordered the ranchero breakfast plate and my husband ordered the carnita tacos quick plate. Both had very large protions and came with a small soup and salad. We were so full and neither of us could clear our plates. With both meals, drinks, and a tip we spent about $40 which we found appropriate. Staff were very kind and attentive and the business helps the community. Overall, we felt like we were visiting family or long time friends. 10 out of 10“

Food was very good, but not the best Indian food we've ever had. But yes: we are demanding and, as we all know, tastes differ. The butter chicken was too mild for our taste. Actually practically zero sharpness.
Lassi is super delicious, as is the samosa - a dream.“

“The pan-seared peppercorn-crusted filet mignon with potatoes au gratin and sautéed asparagus were as good as I've had anywhere. Thick, small and perfectly cooked medium-rare. And the thinly-sliced tomato salad was the perfect starter. We brought our own wine, but their in-house selection is outstanding. The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful. Our waiter, Dominic, was professional and attentive, and we never felt rushed. We enjoyed a two and a half hour anniversary dinner in a lovely outdoor setting and will definitely revisit when we're back in Santa Barbara! Thanks to everyone at Bouchon for a very special evening.“

“Maiz Picante catered our wedding recently and did a phenomenal job! Not only were they professional, but the food was outstanding. We got nonstop praises about the food and service. “Intermezzo by Wine Cask is a true gem! The restaurant boasts a stunning atmosphere with gorgeous decor and perfectly set lighting, creating a wonderful ambiance. The service we received was truly phenomenal – our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience even better. We tried the pizza, fries, and chicken, and each dish was outstanding. The quality of the food was evident, and everything tasted incredible. “Food and service were great, but the atmosphere would have been a lot better if the tables were at least 6" larger and didn't have people standing at window counter within arms reach, while wait staff negotiates access in the in- between space.

“One of the best lunches we’ve ever had! This place is a very happy surprise. My husband and I shared the crispy chicken sandwich and macho salad. Both choices were fantastic.

The chicken sandwich was very well balanced. The bread was very light and didn’t overwhelm the sandwich and the spicy slaw, Swiss cheese, and tomato complimented the crispy chicken.

The macho salad was very unique with the dates, chicken, goat cheese, avocado, almonds, tomatoes and greens lightly dressed in a vinaigrette and the most amazing corn bread croutons.

We had to finish every last bite even though the portions were generous as it was just too good!“

“Food was great! We tried the sweet breads- my favorite, lobster gnocchi-daughters fave, ramen-good, scallops-super lite and fresh, and the catch of the day-very tasty. The amazing menu doesn’t necessarily lend itself to picky kid eaters (my son) but he loved the catch of the day with the sauce on the side. The food took a while as they were pretty busy so the manager comp’d 2 desserts which were both spectacular! We will be back!!“
