“Wow everything we tried was top notch and service was amazing. Sesame tofu was a pleasant surprise that had everyone wanting more. Shabu shabu udon was seasoned to perfection and it even came with ponzu for the meat! Nabeyaki udon was spot on as well. You can tell they take care to make the dashi very well. Tempura chicken curry udon broth was also not too thick and not too salty, which was very pleasant too. Of course the chicken kaarage was super well seasoned and not heavily battered. Perfection. I’d love to come back to try more. Very few places do udon so well.“

“Every time I visit Westminster, Pho 79 is a must-stop for me. The pho is rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying — you can really taste the depth of the broth and the care that goes into every bowl.

Just a heads up: it’s cash only, so come prepared. Also, the fried chicken is a hidden gem — crispy, juicy, and definitely worth ordering alongside your pho. The restaurant has a modern and relaxing vibe. The quality of the food here is amazing. My parents and I got the Moc Bowl (Essentially a Pho Dac Biet). It was absolutely amazing, filled with noodles, meat, and delicious broth. The employees were friendly and attentive to our requests.

They have specials that comes with a bowl of pho and an appetizer, or a BOGO for their Moc Pho. All greatly priced and proportioned.

Highly recommend for Pho Lovers. Absolutely will be back!“

“After visiting the OC/LA area, we're on the way back to the Bay Area, we wanted to have some lunch before we go. Some of the restaurant closed on Monday, one our friends recommended this place for real excellent egg noodles soups, so we stopped by, it's right next to PLT the big VN shopping center.
There's no parking for this restaurant, the whole block has a few parking spots and there's parking on the PLT but always full. We had to park outside on a different shopping center.
The restaurant is small and simple, clean. The owner or the care taker seems to be extremely friendly and attentive sitting us on a table.
The menu has quite a few dishes, but we're concentrating on egg noodle soup for lunch so we ordered the special bowl of rice noodles instead of egg noodles. It's quite good, quite tasty with chinese crispy donuts.
We had a great lunch and the price is extremely inexpensive. Ready to drive home.“

“Sushi Town in Costa Mesa was such a nice surprise! It’s right by the I-55 freeway, kind of easy to miss, but totally worth finding. From the moment we walked in, the staff were super friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home.
We started with the yellowtail collar appetizer, which was amazing — perfectly grilled, crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Then we tried a few nigiri pieces like fatty tuna, negi toro, and fatty yellowtail, and wow — everything was so fresh and just melted in our mouths. The Edo Mae combo was also fantastic, a great mix of traditional and flavorful pieces that showed off the chef’s skills.
We finished it all off with some nice warm sake, which was the perfect way to end the meal.

“Excellent Hu Tieu My Tho soup! We ordered it (kho) dry with the chicken broth and red sauce in the side. This is our new favorite restaurant for Hu Tieu My Tho. The owner is very friendly and eager to get you whatever you need to make you happy. They also have excellent Cafe Sua Da, very creamy and not watered down or bitter. “Santouka Ramen is hands down one of the best ramen spots you’ll find inside Mitsuwa Marketplace. Their signature Shio Ramen with Toroniku pork cheek is simply outstanding—rich, creamy broth that’s perfectly balanced and never overwhelming, paired with chewy noodles cooked just right. The Toroniku pork is unbelievably tender and flavorful, melting in your mouth with every bite.

What I love most is that the ramen is not spicy, making it a comforting bowl that everyone in the family can enjoy. Portions are generous, and if you grab the combo with a rice bowl on the side, it feels like a complete, satisfying meal. The Takoyaki was also delicious—crispy on the outside, soft inside, and topped with the perfect sauce and bonito flakes, making it the perfect side dish to the ramen.
