“A beautiful morning at Crystal Cove...7AM reservation at a table with great views of the ocean and our smiling server, Oscar, welcoming us with strong hot coffees & cream. Perfect. I enjoyed a typical breakfast that was perfectly prepared to my order: poached eggs, extra crispy potatoes & bacon with rye toast and blackberry jam. My lovely partner was overwhelmed by the tasty gigantic "Savory Spinach & Mushroom Crepe". It would easily feed two people. Oscar was very attentive and often stopped by with more hot coffee. The sauce is what made that dish. Would highly recommend that if youre vegetarian or just looking to try aome good gnocchi! Only thing I wish they had was some more options for the bread they offer. It comes with mushrooms but wish they had butter or something else basic if someone isnt into the mushrooms but the bread and mushrooms did pair really well together! We shared the supreme breakfast burrito with venison and the waffles with fruit. The burrito was so good, the meat was cooked to perfection and the combination with the eggs and potatoes made it wonderful. And the waffles, oh my! “Great restaurant with a small, family feel. The food is amazing, and honestly at a steal of a price; the food is half as expensive and more than twice as delicious as other restaurants I've been to. I had the quatrro formaggio because I noticed gorgonzola on the ingredients list, and I loved every single bite! It was so nice to have a dish that put the gorgonzola flavor front-and-center, and the cream sauce was somehow light while still being packed full of flavor.
My wife had the lasagna, and it's easy to see why it's a favorite here. It cem out with the sauce still bubbling, and once she could dig in she described it as lightly sweet, a welcome change from some overly-acidic dishes at some other places.
The service was also impeccable, the staff was very friendly and welcoming and we felt very well attended-to. We came in about an hour or so before closing so there weren't many other customers, and we got our food impressively quickly.
Another note, if you are staying at any of the nearby hotels (specifically the row of hotels on Lake Center Drive) then this restaurant is extremely close, easily walkable if you want. It would make a convenient, delicious, and good-valued addition to your vacation.“

All employees are nice and friendly, but the owner is an amazing human being, so humble and approachable, honest and relatable, love chatting with him every time we visit Cali, which is usually 2-3 times a year and we make sure we eat lunch and dinner at Sofra Urbana every day. “We found Avila’s El Ranchito on-line and decided to give it a try. We had about 45 minute wait so we knew it must be good. A little mix up in the list to be seated. There was another “David party of 2” that arrived AFTER we did but they jumped at the chance to be seated before us. The staff was very friendly. The portions were large enough that we shared a meal and were plenty satisfied. The food was very delicious. The salsa was not what you would call mild so for those with sensitive palates be aware! The atmosphere was loud inside but relatively quiet outside. We would dine at this restaurant again.“

Made a reservation on Opentable and when we arrived at 5pm there was already a line forming for the happy hour section. We ordered the $16 flatbread and sips: pesto chicken flatbread paired with generous size cosmo martini. Also ordered from the $8 small plates special: goat cheese and 3 piece steak lettuce wraps. Service was fast and friendly, food served hot and generous in portion for happy hour. There used to be live piano entertainment - there wasn’t on the night we went. They were showing baseball playoffs that time. We will definitely return when we go to a show again!“

“I'm super happy that this restaurant has lived up to my expectations so far. I feel as though there are only a small amount of cons I have for this place. We have received their chips and salsa, and it is one of the best salsas I've ever had because it reminded me of Chevys' salsa but slightly sweeter. For those of you who know what place I'm talking about, it is the Chevys that used to be in Anaheim on Santa Ana Canyon Road before the restaurant El Cholo took over. Anyway, the meal I ordered was the Carnitas platter, and I liked it. As for my boyfriend he got the Green Sauce Enchilada and he thought it was okay so I decided to try it and I didn't like it at all. The reason why the enchilada didn't taste appealing to me is because it had cumin seasoning in it. I think if they removed the seasoning, the enchiladas would taste a lot better, in my opinion. Also, I almost forgot that I also had their matcha latte, which was good.The matcha latte was good because they let me make it slightly sweeter that way the matcha wouldn't be too bitter and it wasn't which I liked. 🍵For dessert, my boyfriend and I ordered the flan, and it tasted really good. I was also happy that my boyfriend enjoyed it, so we would definitely order that again. Last but not least, the customer service was great, and I'm glad there are still some people who try hard to give the best customer service. So my boyfriend and I will definitely come back for the chips and salsa and the flan.Also, a warning for people just trying this place for the first time: I recommend that you bring a smaller party since this place isn't too big. 😊“
