“When Ventura first opened up my wife and I ordered meals to go unfortunately things were a little shaky at the time and the meals were short certain items and some things were correct. After calling Ventura and talking to the manager they agreed that next time we come in the meals would be on them. Well as time goes along some things get lost and today the wife found the receipt and called up the restaurant and talk to the manager his name is Nicholas. Well he did a great job he not only provided the meals for us but he was Very very cordial about it and thoroughly understanding he did a great job he made a lifetime customer with my wife and I and I appreciate his hard work and the good food that comes out of this restaurant thank you“

“Absolutely love this spot. They have the most incredible selection of craft beer, and spirits, lots of taps, and super friendly bartenders and patrons. Always meet really nice people when I grab lunch and a beverage at the bar. Their steak is so flavorful and tender. Always end up getting a steak sandwich or their Tri tip salad and either a Bloody Mary or michelada. So good!“

“I got a juice from here at the farmers market it was a large blue drink. That was Sunday it’s now Wednesday night, I can’t stop thinking about it. It was so good and made me feel healthy too , I drank it all that day. Only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is bc it’s really expensive . They told me the large was 15, then they said with tax that’s 17.50$ . This is the first time I’ve paid tax at the farmers market anything else is a solid price, corn is 5.00 flat, nuts are 5$ flat, huge agua Fresca is 10$ flat you get where I’m going with this. It’s delicious however paying 17$ for a drink did hurt. I mean that’s the price of a meal these days. Drink flavor taste etc 5/5 price 2/5.“

“Dan closed the brewery down for the Ventura County Sportfishing Club holiday party event. 60-70 members/guests attended. The staff handled the party with aplomb and assured everyone enjoyed the evening. This is some of the best craft beer you can find. The food was amazing and plentiful especially the short ribs. I would encourage a visit for some great beers. And if you are having an event, I would strongly suggest working with these folks. These are some of the nicest people you will find at any establishment in Ventura. I will be a regular.“

“I stepped a little outside my usual food rotation and ended up at Kaapicat Cafe in downtown Ventura—and I’m glad I did.

I went with the paneer dosa, and honestly, it felt like having dessert for lunch in the best way possible. Warm, flavorful, spicy, and just one of those meals that hits right away.

I showed up about 20 minutes before closing (at 1:40pm on a Thursday), so things were already winding down. The outdoor seating had been put away, but I was still able to grab my food and sit over at the tables next door at Moby’s on Main, which worked out just fine.

It feels like one of those places that would be great to hang out if you catch it earlier. There’s a bit of an artistic vibe in the decor and the way it’s set up. The interior has those classic old red bricks that are part of the downtown Ventura scene, and I appreciate that they didn’t cover them up with some other type of wall finish.

They’re displaying artwork from a local artist, which I always appreciate as I’m a local artist myself. It adds to that relaxed, creative, vibrant downtown feel that I enjoy in spots like this. I’m always happy when a place supports the local art scene.“

“A hidden gem on Main Street. We finally tried this place and were super impressed with the quality of the ingredients, the consistent (yes we have come here more than a few times and gotten the same thing) preparation, great and friendly staff, and really bright and welcoming space. All which make Edenic a must go place. One smoothista (basically a smoothie mixologist) gave us a suggestion so good we have been reluctant to try other menu items.“

“I was first introduced to Bright Spark In March at the Ventura Beer Experience. We talked with a lovely couple behind the table and tasted Day Trip, which has become my all-time favorite. We were introduced to a concept called Musical Bingo that day, and I was delighted to make my first visit to the brewery on my 55th birthday in May. Every single one of the employees there was kind, gracious, and warm. The food was absolutely amazing and the Musical Bingo is so much fun! I have since been dragging people left and right there and recommending you guys because of what a great laid back family-friendly atmosphere it is. Today I got Açaí/chia/coconut base w/passion fruit & granola, with banana & mango, almond butter & date drizzle, goji berries, bee pollen & almond toppings. My husband and 3 kids got whatever they wanted (the best!). My 6yo only wanted açaí, granola, honey, & bee pollen, so you can go really simple or complex! It is really similar to chipotle or cafe rio with all of the delicious options. We also got 3 empanadas: beef, mushroom, & samosa. Great food, great service.

My only complaint is that we're visiting from the IE, and there is no Ubatuba near our home.“

“found this truck open late after a concert and it was still super busy at 11 pm .... lots of locals so I knew it would be good...it was actually GREAT, the tacos at this truck were quite possibly the best I've ever had in my life!!! yummy salsa too , fresh churros and really friendly staff. “Maggies has been our family go to for mexican food for I dont even know how many years now. Their carne asada, bean rice & cheese burrtitos are favs but corn burritos are too. Its a toss up at times lol so we sometimes get the asada burrito + corn burritos & share.
Hot sauce could make anything taste good haha because its so tasty with just the right amt of heat
Easy location & staff are always so nice. Our family loves their food so much we even used them for catering my sons rehearsal dinner😁“

The staff here had a way of making the whole place feel like a big, warm common ground place for people of all types. It’s just such an easy-going, wonderful vibe. I was reminded why I love playing pool so much for the first time in a long while, and I've played all across bars on the west coast! It was so cool just hanging out and learning from others who love the game as much as I do. It’s a rare thing to find a place that feels this genuine and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!“

Great bartenders, always friendly, indoor and outdoor seating - no reason to let any rain slow you down. And, very important, you gotta try the pickle beer! Its only available one day each week.
