“The food and customer service are on point“

“Vegan comfort food so good you'll tell everyone you know about it. My wife and I had meatloaf sandos because we haven't either of us had meatloaf in decades and we both liked it when we did eat meat. Scott's (hey Scott) meatloaf isn't like your traditional meatloaf with granules of ground beef. Instead, it is more the texture of a fine dice of beef, and man, it is mind-blowing good! I hear the Reuben will make you want to move to Oceanside. I'd love to see what this place could do with a tuna melt. The fries are superior and, well, they nailed it. Love the 60s/70s counter-culture vibe and, of course, the surf undertone (it's blocks from the waves). The service is what you would hope for and holds a soupcon of joy behind it. Scott is personable and you can see his heart is in the food and the restaurant. Finally...calling all meat eaters! This place is the place for you. I used to eat meat. I too know the dissatisfaction vegan food can bring. In short, I am not unsympathetic. You won't be dissatisfied here. I wouldn't be surprised if you returned and brought other people. I've tried all the meat substitutes and this isn't like that. They got hold of something here and it's really good.“

“I love how this small , family-owned business is located conveniently on Mission Ave. Great service and they have some pastries & vegan sweets too. They’ve got a nice seating that allows for people-watching and most importantly, they support other small bakeries & businesses by carrying their goods. Zully is a fantastic server with an attention to the details that create the experience we look for when eating out.

“This is probably the best In-N-Out we have been to. We are avid In-N-Out goers and this has the be the best we have been to. The food comes out quick, they seem to be very efficient. Jarod was all over the place helping people out, opening doors for people and cleaning up. I highly recommend this In-N-Out.“

“Smallish restaurant with tiny parking lot of about 10 spots shared between 3 businesses. Like the roll up garage door windows, lots of outdoor picnic bench seating under shade canopies (which we couldn't use on this rainy day). Beer selection is pretty good, we had the meat lovers 12 inch pizza and liked the thin crispy crust, a bit skimpy on the toppings but tasty enough.

Parking: I think 10 spots between 3 (?) businesses in this very small strip mini mall.“

“Took a day trip to Oceanside via the train and checked out places we've never been before. Found Coomber Wines and it was a delightful end to our day. Lovely staff, delicious assortment of wines, very cool rustic decor and fantastic restrooms! Yes, I like to be pleasantly surprised when an establishment goes over the top and creates a wonderful restroom. We had a great afternoon here and would definitely return!“

“The tacos are so delicious, we had to go back and order more. The corn tortilla was nice and soft. Other places they're hard. And the meat was also soft. I've also never had a mushroom taco but tried one and it was also good. It was simple but grilled just right.“

It was clear she truly cared about creating a positive experience, and that level of attentiveness made a big difference.

Bryce was equally impressive in his approach. What shined was his care and attention to detail, especially when it came to accommodating my allergies. He made a point to ask questions before taking action, ensuring that everything was handled safely and thoughtfully. I appreciated how realistic and transparent he was about what could and couldn’t be modified, which helped build trust and made me feel more at ease navigating the menu. His professionalism and awareness were evident throughout.

Drea also made a strong impression with her calm and reassuring presence. She approached everything with a sense of patience and understanding, and I felt genuinely understood and validated in my requests and concerns. Her demeanor helped create a relaxed environment, which is especially meaningful when dealing with dietary needs. She balanced efficiency with empathy in a way that felt very natural.

As for the food and drinks, my friend really enjoyed the Buccaneer smoothie and even went back for a second cup of drip coffee, which they said was smooth and satisfying. I had an avocado, egg, and tortilla burrito, and I especially liked the house brown sugar coffee, which had a rich, slightly sweet flavor that came through as a highlight for me.

Overall, while navigating modifications can sometimes be challenging, the staff made the experience feel manageable and supportive. Their kindness, attentiveness, and willingness to accommodate made a lasting impression, and it’s clear that the team truly values customer care.

“I love little off the map beer and burger joints. The Red Rooster has one of the best burgers in town. Top it off with a really cold beer and you’ve got me! If you are expecting fancy… this is not the place. It does have a classic old bar atmosphere, and that is what makes it great.“

“I went here to get some brunch, I ordered their surf n turf burrito, which I was not expecting it to be as good as I thought it was.
There was a wait for the food, but nothing too bad, within a reasonable amount.
The surf n turf burrito was a carne asada and shrimp, as most surf n turf burritos are, however this one had some roasted green peppers and rice, which made it all the better and unique from most places.
The restaurant itself can be a tad cramped, especially when it's busy. They do have some tables inside and outside if you wanted to eat there.
I would definitely recommend trying their surf n turf of you have a liking for those types of burritos.“

“This is a nice little taco shop with an upscale feel. The atmosphere is simple but pleasant and clean. The service is good and fast. The salsa bar is well stocked and fresh, complete with spicy carrots. There is a generous selection of tacos, burritos, bowls, and other items on the menu. Unfortunately, despite all of these positive points, the food itself tasted rather bland and under seasoned. As far as the meats, I tried three: the carne asada was a bit too rubbery, the chicken was a little dry, but the al pastor pork was juicy and more flavorful than the other two. The food was certainly fresh enough, with nice presentation, but the overall taste was underwhelming, which is really too bad because there's a lot of potential here. Prices were a tad on the high side considering the lackluster taste. My overall rating is 4 stars due to nice service and atmosphere, but I can only give 3 stars for the food.“
