“Vegan comfort food so good you'll tell everyone you know about it. My wife and I had meatloaf sandos because we haven't either of us had meatloaf in decades and we both liked it when we did eat meat. Scott's (hey Scott) meatloaf isn't like your traditional meatloaf with granules of ground beef. Instead, it is more the texture of a fine dice of beef, and man, it is mind-blowing good! I hear the Reuben will make you want to move to Oceanside. I'd love to see what this place could do with a tuna melt. The fries are superior and, well, they nailed it. Love the 60s/70s counter-culture vibe and, of course, the surf undertone (it's blocks from the waves). The service is what you would hope for and holds a soupcon of joy behind it. Scott is personable and you can see his heart is in the food and the restaurant. Finally...calling all meat eaters! This place is the place for you. I used to eat meat. I too know the dissatisfaction vegan food can bring. In short, I am not unsympathetic. You won't be dissatisfied here. I wouldn't be surprised if you returned and brought other people. I've tried all the meat substitutes and this isn't like that. They got hold of something here and it's really good.“

“I love how this small , family-owned business is located conveniently on Mission Ave. Great service and they have some pastries & vegan sweets too. They’ve got a nice seating that allows for people-watching and most importantly, they support other small bakeries & businesses by carrying their goods. “My family and I went to this restaurant last Saturday and we had an amazing time. Everything from the food to the atmosphere was great, but what really stood out was the service from Hugo.

He was so friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. Even though it was busy, he stayed calm, professional, and kept such a positive attitude. You can tell he genuinely cares about giving people a great experience.

We’ll definitely be coming back, and we hope to have Hugo again!“

“It’s in-n-out. I cannot think of a fastfood chain that’s more consistent than them. You know what you’re getting here. Also, as an aside, shout out to in-n-out for being basically the only chain of their ilk to not massively raise prices during covid.“

“Took a day trip to Oceanside via the train and checked out places we've never been before. Found Coomber Wines and it was a delightful end to our day. Lovely staff, delicious assortment of wines, very cool rustic decor and fantastic restrooms! Yes, I like to be pleasantly surprised when an establishment goes over the top and creates a wonderful restroom. We had a great afternoon here and would definitely return!“

Like the roll up garage door windows, lots of outdoor picnic bench seating under shade canopies (which we couldn't use on this rainy day). Beer selection is pretty good, we had the meat lovers 12 inch pizza and liked the thin crispy crust, a bit skimpy on the toppings but tasty enough.

Parking: I think 10 spots between 3 (?) businesses in this very small strip mini mall.“

“First time at Mary's and we tried an omelette, which was good, but no green bell peppers. The chilaquiles were good, but part of the tortilla was too fried and hard. Carne asada breakfast was not as tender as I like, but not bad. The service was great!“

Came on a Tuesday so they were pretty busy and seating was limited inside, there was seating outside, overall I'd recommend trying it out I might have to come back for the birria tacos and spicy surf and turf“

“Been going to this place since 2000. Great food, portions are huge and prices are on point. You get your food quick too and the folks there are always helpful if you need anything, for example if you need salsa or lemon, they will ask what they can get for you and get it as they are helping another customer. That is priceless. All of the above is the reason I make a point to eat here when I am in the area whether I’m hungry or not.“
