“I love the food here. Anytime I go, there's never a lot of people in there and I usually order ahead and pick it up. The Salt and Pepper fish, Shrimp Chow Mein-Skinny and Honey Walnut prawns are what I usually order.
The area has changed a lot, Longs, the Dive Bar and Wheel works are all closed. Safeway is still there and CD is to the right of it.
Parking: Plenty of parking.
Wheelchair accessibility: Parking is not a problem.“

“We went here on a Monday for brunch and we’re a bit disappointed they didn’t have the dim sum carts, I guess they only do that on Sunday but we were able to order dim sum off the menu and everything we ordered was delicious. We will definitely go back again but next time we will be sure to go on a Sunday because it’s just so fun picking thing out off of the carts where you can see how good everything looks.“

“Rickshaw Chinese Restaurant is a take out only There is no option of sitting down. Henceforth it is take out only. That's a plus you won't have to take out a loan to get good healthy food. There are some benches out sde if you can't wait to get home. It is popular with locals and those in the know. Food is displayed to see sells quickly so it always fresh . Never dried out from sitting at a steam table. Some nights a hour before closing at 8pm they maybe sold out of pork fried rice or barbecue pork loin or sweet and sour pork with vegetable The sauce is not too sweet not too sour. It's like Goldilock's porridge at the home of the three bears just right. Portions are big I can barely finish a pork fried rice with a sweet and sour pork entree. $12.50 includes tax.
The Chef takes pride in making good tasting food a simple menu with something for almost everyone. Yes I am a big fan of Chinese style cooking. Sometimes a simple dish made with care is just as good as a fancy complex food at 3 times the price. Highly recommend for the days you are just too tired to cook or just because you want to to enjoy their food. I only like to post positive reviews of well made foods.
This is definitely positively good food enjoy“

“Here's my one millionth review. I freaking love this place. I can cook my own dan dan noodles, but I can't get my soup buns as delicious as theirs. So I come here and get both. With a side of their chili garlic sauce and szechuan sauce. It's my go to meal. I've been trying new restuarants lately but I always regret not going here for my tried and true good meal. Don't want Dan Dan....get their smoked bamboo and cured pork belly noodle dish. These folks flavors are the best. Eat inside for a chill experience and watch the fantastic cooking on the TV screen, or take to go and get impeccable service everytime. I've wasted some money this week on subpar food, but four hours later, I'm still thinking about these hands down, no contest, delicious dishes. And EVERYTIME someone is visiting me, I get them an order of the soup buns (best once you've let them cool down) and I've never had a single person disappointed by the delicious and often hot experience. THE BEST. The new dumpling place around the corner has a good chengdu noodle if you want vegetarian and they also have soup buns, but Special Noodle is still my fave.“

“The name is 3 star ⭐️ but it’s definitely a 5 star especially when it comes to the food , very fresh made with care. Service and staff are nice and attentive, and the restaurant is very clean. To start I have the hot tea ,then garlic chicken, I prefer it crispy crunchy, or fried hard, chicken and shrimp noodle, and my fav green spicy green bean.“

“I get my lunch takeaways from here. Had a craving for eggplant in garlic sauce. Note: their lunch specials include soup and salad only if you EAT IN. I got an egg roll with my special, so I was happy. Food was hot and yummy, enough left for a light bite at dinner.“

“This venue was recommended to us, so we decided to give it a try. My husband loved the peeking duck, and stated this is his new favorite Chinese restaurant! We also had the BBQ pork appetizer, chow mein, Mongolian beef, and sweet and sour chicken without veggies. The beef had more onions than meat but had great flavor, and the sweet and sour was just ok. Everyone enjoyed the BBQ pork.“

“Happened to pass by this while walking around; so glad I discovered it! I plan to go back soon! I went there for lunch; ordered the dry sautéed string beans with tofu as a lunch combo so it included salad and rice. The flavor was great and the portions are just right.“

“The food was great. I ordered the szechwan shrimp. It was so tasty and really filling. Portions were enough at good prices. Great atmosphere and nice hometown setting. The service was non-intrusive but they always knew when I would need something like a water refill. I will definitely come back when in the area.
Parking: One hour limit parking in back of restaurant.“

“If you’re looking for a great spot to grab Chinese food in Richmond, V8 Kitchen on Macdonald Ave is definitely worth checking out. My wife and I found this place on Google Maps while looking for something new to try—and we’re glad we did! The photos and menu looked promising, and we were in the mood for a good lunch date.
As soon as we walked in, the lady who took our order greeted us with a warm welcome and helped us feel right at home. She was quick, polite, and made the whole experience feel personal. The place had a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, perfect for a casual and relaxing couple’s lunch.
The food? Excellent. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. You can tell they put care into their dishes, and it shows in the taste. The prices were also really fair for the quality and portion size.
All around, this was a great little food adventure for us. If you're local or just passing through Richmond and want good Chinese food with kind service and a calm vibe, V8 Kitchen is a nice choice.“

“China Village is a must-try!
If you’re craving real Chinese food, this place has it all. Their Spicy Boiled Fish blew my mind — spicy, flavorful, and addictive. The Sesame Chicken and Sweet and Sour Pork were both crispy and packed with flavor.
I’m also obsessed with their shrimp dumplings and handmade noodles — fresh, tasty, and super satisfying.
And guess what? They have dim sum all day! That’s a game-changer.
Super clean, super tasty, and super friendly staff. Go check it out!“

“I love this little hole in the wall! Everything I've ever gotten here is great, and it's one of the only places I've found that my mom approves of their tofu pudding / tofu "flower".
I can't believe some folks are giving low ratings for rising prices... It's the bay area! Everything's expensive and I'm sure his rent has been going up too. Have some empathy for independent shops! No, I've never thought this place was cheap but boba/bubble waffles aren't cheap anywhere else, especially at the large chain boba places.
Go here. The owner(s) are awesome (I think it's run by a couple - it's the same guy everytime I go) and the food and drinks are great. And the vibe is always right. Last time I went they were playing Cantonese Bon Jovi. Support local businesses!“

“I've been going to Combo Express for years now, and the food I get is always amazing! The BBQ chicken, chicken w/ spicy salt, and chicken chow mein are all delicious! The potstickers are pretty good as well, but I can't really speak for anything else on the menu. The service is nice, but the inside of the restaurant is a bit lackluster. I don't believe you can dine in anymore, but the food still tastes good with take-out. Overall, they have really good food, and the BBQ chicken is amazing!“

“The food here is pretty tasty, and the soup lives up to my expectations, boasting an authentic Chinese Yunnan style that I absolutely love. I opted for takeout, and while the flavors were on point, my only concern was the slightly high prices for a noodle restaurant. However, considering the delightful taste and the unique Yunnan-style flair, it's definitely worth a try.“
“First time. Great find! The food was delicious and well prepared. Didn't have that "all day in the steam tray" look and feel that now seems standard at other similar places. Vegies looked and tasted like they were made from fresh. The meats were tender and generous. Sauces light and not overly sweet or heavy. Will be our new go-to Chinese takeout!“

“Very good. I'm not really a fan of Chinese food but my son asked it was his birthday and the place we usually order from was closed. I have to admit it was really good. I ordered chicken chow mein, fried rice, beef broccoli, sweet sour pork, sesame chicken, and gyoza. Everything was delicious hot fresh flavorful and quick. Keep n mind this was the 4th of July, they were open and the guy who took my order was really nice and attentive. This will be my new spot“
“A little hole in the wall Chinese food shop.
CASH ONLY
This has been here forever. Like 20+ years at least. I hadn’t been in a long time but I was driving by and thought I’d stop. Same good Chinese food ready to go as I’d remembered. Would definitely go again. I’d rather give my business to them than the panda.“

“Idk why people have so much hate for this place. Ive ordered from here a few times and every single time im impressed with how much depth and the flavor has for each dish AS WELL as the size portions of the food. I spent approx 100 bucks for 4 people (thats pretty average these days) for dinner and everyone loved what they got. 3/4 of us were able to order 2 entrees and managed to keep it around 25-30 dollars each and then still had enough food for leftovers later. Tsing Tao (love ya, Tsing Tao) is second to this place imo and ive been going to Tsing Tao since I was a kid. Give it a shot.“

Parking: Has a 17 or 18 stall Tesla Superchargers just off the I80 Central Street off-ramp in Richmond/Albany area. During the day, the parking lot gets very crowded, but mornings and evenings are fine.

“A Taste of Peru That Feels Like Home 🇵🇪✨ From the very first bite, this restaurant transports you straight to the heart of Peru. The flavors are bold, authentic, and crafted with love by Peruvian hands that know how to honor tradition. Start with the ceviche, fresh, zesty, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. Then the iconic lomo saltado, where juicy strips of beef are sautéed to perfection with onions, tomatoes, and that unmistakable touch of soy sauce and spices. The arroz chaufa is a savory fusion masterpiece, while the tallarines saltado brings a mouthwatering twist on stir-fry pasta that’s packed with flavor. Don’t miss the anticuchos, tender skewers of marinated beef heart that melt in your mouth, or the golden picarones, a sweet finish made with squash and sweet potato, drizzled in chancaca syrup. Pure Peruvian joy! To wash it all down, sip on a cold Inka Kola, a tangy glass of maracuyá (passion fruit) juice, or the deep, spiced flavors of chicha morada. Each drink is a memory, a story, a sip of home. And for a truly special treat, they’re bringing out the Pachamanca (tres sabores) this Father’s Day, a traditional Andean feast slow-cooked underground with marinated meats, herbs, and native potatoes. It’s more than a meal, it’s a celebration of culture, family, and roots. You will also appreciate the warm, attentive service from the owners and chefs. Whether you’re Peruvian or just discovering its rich culinary heritage, this place will have you coming back for more. ¡Buen provecho!“

“It’s a hole in wall chinese spot in da hood. ITS MY GO TO ALWAYs! My favorite Chow mien, chicken wings, pot stickers, fried fish(not served often), BEEF WITH BROCCOLI ?! Listen, these places are best when the food is just made but worth it. I always get enough for 3 days. The prices are great! The customer service is well…you get over it. It’s like in the city in China town.“

“I ordered the salt and pepper prawns. The food was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. The prawns were served with sautéed onions, jalapeno peppers, garlic and chili peppers. The customer service was warm and inviting from the moment I walked in the door. I was given plenty of sauce but cocktail was not an option. Good thing I keep a bottle in the car! My food experience was like having a date with my taste buds for the first time.“

“I’ve been going here since 2007. It’s my go to Chinese fast food. It’s cheap and they are generous with the servings. Depending on my cravings, I can finish 2/3 of the plate but most of the time I can eat the left overs at later meal.I ALWAYS order their Salt and Pepper Pork Ribs, half fried rice and half soy sauce chow mein, with garlic chili oil. The taste was the same since 2007, except, I have not seen green chili on it anymore. When my husband wants some, I’ll order: fried shrimp, beef chow fun, beef broccoli, orange chicken, yunan chicken, and/or veggie mix. It really varies depending on what he wanted that they have when we arrive. To summarize, I will always go back to this place. I travel across California for work. Trying different Chinese fast food in other cities, other than Panda Express, this is my number one place that I will always go back to. I said Chinese fast food, yes? ✌?“

“Very delicious! I got the chicken and mixed vegetables with steamed rice. Their lunch special came with a corn soup, which was also tasty and a nice way to start the meal. I liked the sauce on the chicken and vegetables a lot. Rice just needed soy sauce. Nice and large portions. Also came with fried wontons and sweet and sour sauce. My husband liked the spicy orange chicken but didn’t find it spicy. We shared the Chinese chicken salad as well. Even their tea was good! Would happily come back.
Parking: Shared lot with laundromat and liquor store, felt safe too.
Kid-friendliness: Noticed a high chair.“
