“I'm in town for an event and we were looking for a place open to eat. We found this place and it is a gem! I ordered a Jasmine tea & Pho Nam (brisket). It was SO good! One of the best bowls of pho I've had in quite some time. The broth was perfectly flavored and the meat was good as well. My tea also tasted great without any sweetner added to it. My friend ordered a bun combo with a side soup and also said it was very good. We ordered and got our food pretty quickly. The server was friendly and very attentive. The pricing was also very good for the portions you get. I paid for our teas & both meals and it came out to $34+tip. If I'm ever back in town, I would definitely eat here again!“

“This place is known for their galbi jjeem and I should have tried it. But (a) the portions are huuuge, as in for more than 1 person, maybe up to 4 people, and (b) at $100 it is expensive. I should return with a large group so we can order and share it. There is an option for cheese which the waiter will use a torch at the table to melt and toast it. I've never had galbi jjeem with cheese. Maybe it tastes like a cheeseburger? I'd be willing to try is there was an option to have it on the side, vs fully committing by covering everything with it.

So for this visit I had the sollung tang with tendon. It hit the spot, very creamy and flavorful, and the tendon was soft & tender. I would definitely return for this alone.“

“The place to go for delicious pork kbbq! I highly recommend the thick pork belly, marinated pork ribs, and the corn cheese. The pork marinade was flavorful and not as sweet as other kbbq places. They give a nice variety of side dishes which were really good with the pork belly.

For the first time in life, unlock the achievement of raw pickled crabs. Ten years ago, I watched "My Love from the Star" and I always wanted to try it, but I never knew where it was delicious. I didn’t expect that my first try would be in LA.

Although it’s my first time and I don’t have a benchmark for comparison, this raw pickled crab is really great! good! eat! Not what I'm saying. The kind of delicious food that I would be willing to return to a thousand times. Paired with Sou Beer, it is heaven.

We ordered regular and spicy, and I prefer the regular pickled crab more! From now on, you will definitely have to eat one per person to make your trip worthwhile. It has been included in the pilgrimage list that family and friends must bring when visiting LA!

I sincerely recommend raw pickled crabs 10,000 times! The crab soup is also delicious, but the pork belly can be omitted! I ordered a lot, but I carefully wore gloves to eat the crabs, and I didn’t take pictures of other dishes at all.

But there’s this really Skinny Canto Viet lady bossing a bunch of diverse ppl around… she’s kinda scary at times and fiery at times… I suspect Nong La (Nong La means Burning) was named after the hot heat came from her own… hot… …..!😉🤓🔥🥵)“

“Right across from the Galleria. They have their own parking. Too many pictures of the food on the wall. Bit overwhelming. 6:30-10:30 am they have breakfast specials. Noodle house. In one of the photos you can see there are 4 large plastic container with hot soup. Not sure if that will help if you are trying to avoid microplastics. Noodle soup is good. I have the spicy seafood soup and the bean pancake. The side dishes are tasty. They also sell kimchi.“

The woman was very nice and recommended the Beef Galbi-Tang, which was so delicious and had a perfectly rich broth. “I have been eating at this restaurant for the last 5 years and I absolutely love the yellow chicken curry. It's actually the only thing I've ever gotten and I've gotten it over 60 times. I just tried the pad Thai chicken noodles last night for the first time and although it tasted really great, I noticed my heart was racing a little bit after I ate it which only happens when I consume MSG. I seem to be the only one in my family that is sensitive to MSG, but I definitely feel it. There's been many studies about how MSG is not very healthy for most people so I'm leaving this comment in hopes that pad Thai on Beverly follows what many other restaurants are doing and removes MSG as an ingredient in certain dishes. Luckily, they do not use MSG in the yellow chicken curry. Again, this is a really amazing restaurant.“

“Let's be real, sometimes restaurant names escape me. But when my wife says "Korean soup place with all the Korean senior citizens," I instantly remember she means Tofu Village in Gardena.

Here's the thing: if you walk into a Korean restaurant and it's filled with Korean senior citizens, you know the food is legit. And Tofu Village? It's always bustling with them, which is a testament to the authentic, soul-warming dishes they serve.

Their specialty is Soon Tofu, and it's honestly the best value on the menu. A bubbling hot stone bowl filled with flavorful broth, silky tofu, and your choice of protein (I'm a beef guy, through and through)? It's pure comfort food.

But the real star of the show, in my opinion, is the banchan. Those unlimited vegetable side dishes? They're a feast in themselves! Fresh, flavorful, and constantly refilled. And even when you order to go, they don't skimp. They pack up little aluminum foil containers with the best of the bunch, which is a thoughtful touch.

Tofu Village isn't fancy, and it doesn't need to be. It's authentic, delicious, and makes you feel good from the inside out. It's a 5-star experience, and I'll keep coming back for that warm, comforting bowl of Soon Tofu. And those banchan, of course!“
