My wife and I came for our 3 year wedding anniversary, I didn’t know what to expect and we were completely blown away. If you see sandwiches on the menu and you’re like “hmmm that seems too casual for me” you. Couldn’t be more wrong, the food was some of the best I’ve had in a very very long time - the flavors, the combination.. all of it, OUTSTANDING. “Brought some friends there to watch playoff football and a ufc fight. Ended up having the best filet mignon of my life. So tender you could slice through it with the side of your fork. Had fresh oysters from Virginia, which I was told are only $2 on Tuesday or Wednesday (have to fact check here). And probably the best thing on the menu is the bacon wrapped plantains, not a lot of food, but every bite is heaven. Wife loved her fancy drinks, but I prefer scotch.“

“Was told by a friend “total dive bar, but the experience is 80% why we go”. I have to say, he wasn’t wrong! The “dive bar” is like a second home to me as it’s kind of where we just grew up as kids. As places begin to modernize, the dive bar aspect slowly slips away.

Came here for some quick dinner and wasn’t disappointed. It was insanely busy!! The biggest downside during the busy time was the wait. Wait for drinks, wait for food… etc. However, staff did a pretty good job at trying to keep up with what they had to do.

Burger was $13 and came with a bag of chips. It was good food and hit the spot. Definitely a fun little place to visit… just maybe when it’s not so busy.“

The entire staff was so welcoming and went out of their way to make sure my husband was enjoying his birthday celebration. It was our first stay at the Maybourne. “I stopped by Drugstore Cowboy on Wednesday evening and had a solid time, despite some initial hesitation due to its reputation. The bartender was knowledgeable about craft cocktails and expertly mixed my Old Fashioned. What stood out to me, though, was the live jazz music – they had a talented saxophonist playing during my visit around 9 pm. Overall, it's a great spot for drinks if you're in the area after dark.“

“El Carmen has a nice ambience with plenty of cool decor to look at as you wine and dine. They offer a wide selection of drinks and specialize in Mexican cuisine. Funny enough, my date was the only Mexican looking person there, despite the restaurant being full. It’s more of a bar than a restaurant and I’m not mad about that. I will say that the waiters gave me a bit of an attitude which I did not like, but they were good with water refills and checking in. The seats were not comfortable, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. They had cool music, but it wasn’t even Hispanic haha. Overall, I had a good experience and recommend El Carmen.“
