“Stunning Pastries That Look Like Art — Pizza Croissant Was the Star

If you’re looking for beautiful artisan pastries and creative croissants, this bakery is definitely worth visiting. The pastries look like edible art... the glazing, colors, and design are absolutely mesmerizing.
The service was excellent. One of the owners was there interacting with customers, which I really appreciated. It shows pride in the business and creates a welcoming atmosphere.
Flavorwise👀.. some pastries were fantastic while others looked better than they tasted for me. Here’s my honest ranking of the ones I tried:

1️⃣ Strawberry Croissant – 8/10
Light, fresh, and nicely balanced.
2️⃣ Strawberry Cream Pastry – 8/10
Soft texture and pleasant sweetness.
3️⃣ Raspberry cube Croissant – 10/10
Beautiful and delicious. One of the standouts.
4️⃣ Chocolate Croissant – 4/10
Looked great, but the flavor felt a little bland
5️⃣ mini heart Strawberry crossants- 8/10 Beautiful and delicious mini treat
6️⃣ Strawberry croissant – 5/10
Decent, but it didn’t leave a strong impression compared to the others...
7️⃣pistacho Croissant – 4/10
Beautiful glaze, but the flavor didn’t stand out much.
For drinks, I tried the hibiscus coffee that was recommended. I may have misunderstood the drink because I expected coffee with hibiscus syrup. Instead, it tasted more like a lightly carbonated hibiscus soda mixed with coffee, and it came across a bit watered down for my taste. It might just be the style of the drink, but it wasn’t quite what I expected when ordering coffee.
Overall, I walked out spending over $80 on pastries and coffee, so I was hoping for a bit more flavor to match the incredible presentation.
That said, the creativity, atmosphere, and service were wonderful, and the pizza croissant alone is worth coming back for. I’m looking forward to returning and trying more pastries and exploring more of the coffee menu.“

“As my daughter and I drive through my hometown of Watsonville, it’s a must for us to stop for coffee. Cafecto has some of the best coffee and food around. The customer service is always amazing and makes you feel so welcome—that’s why we keep coming back. The chilaquiles are delicious, and today we tried the chicken bowl, which was just as good. If you’re driving through Watsonville, you have to stop by for a coffee or something to eat. You won’t be disappointed.“

“One of the best Chinese food I've ever had. I had the pork chow main pork fried rice and sweet and sour pork was amazing definitely coming back.

“Decem and QQ gave us the BEST service we have EVER received. No exaggeration. They provided our group with such a wonderful experience and ALL of our food was amazing. We had chow mein, wings, Mongolian beef, sweet & sour chicken, rice, wor wonton soup, ginger tea, and the sesame seed dessert balls (I don’t remember what they were called). Above all, they treated us like family. We will absolutely be having more family dinners here. If you are reading reviews to see where you should go to eat this is THE place to go. P.S. You must try the chicken wings!“

As of now (12/2024),Taco Tuesday’s price is $1.50/taco (also 3-9 pm on Thursdays.)

The crust was flaky, the lemon curd filling was not too tart, and the meringue was perfection! Everyone really enjoyed it! “Taking a road trip up the coast and I finally got to stop here and eat/drink after enjoying some of their beers at home. It did not disappoint! Food was delicious, service in the beer garden was great, and as always the beer was on point. Had the Paloma Pizzazz which is good if you like grapefruit and their guest beer the Muddlin Forte was sooo good. The only negative was they were out of all their large t-shirts so I'll just have to go shopping online. Hope to be in the area again soon to try some more things.“

We kicked things off with micheladas make sure you specify the size, because they offer everything from small to fish-bowl! We were then serenaded by Taka Taka’s, which set the tone for a fantastic evening. Our meal was a delicious molcajete served with homemade corn tortillas, and then came the biggest surprise of the night: Mexican karaoke. We even saw no less than 4 different ladies selling flowers. Not too sweet but the perfect caffeine pick me up! The cranberry orange scones are to die for... and the morning crew is always friendly and FAST to whip out your drink!“
