“Overall we had a great experience here. We went on a Sunday Evening. We didn't realize the wait would be so long so we didn't get onto the online waitlist until 5:30 which meant our reservation was an hour to an hour and 15mins later. We left a little late and they called us before we got there so we were dropped from the wait list. The good news was once we got there they were accommodating and put us back on the wait list with a short wait. Once there, the wait staff was Extremely attentive, professional and friendly. Food came out reasonably quick. The prices for king crab were $60/lb (too high for us) so we got snow crab for half that ($30/lb) and a seafood boil where you can pick and choose what goes into it (I love that!). Butcher block paper is on the table and you can choose to eat directly off the table which is super fun and my kids absolutely loved it. I only wish they had paper towels instead of napkins at the tables because it's messy. Overall it was super fun and we had a good experience.“

“I’m a big fan of seafood, so I decided to stop by fish district to see what they had to offer. I had the calamari fritta, shrimp basket and bread pudding. The fried calamari was right on par with any restaurant found in Naples, Italy. The beer fried batter that is found on the shrimp and fries are delectable and I’m not sure if their cocktail sauce is made in house or not but it pairs well with the seafood, it’s second to none. The bread pudding was a bit dense and dry for my liking, but not bad

“My family and I have been dining here almost weekly for the last 7 months. The food is phenomenal. It’s fresh, the dishes are innovative yet they offer traditional rolls. Honestly, their ribeye is my favorite dish. Ask for extra mushrooms and sauce- you’ll thank yourself for it. The owners are working there daily and are the sweetest people. My kids are sushi connoisseurs and have declared this their favorite place.“

“I ve had been looking for good baja style fish and shrimp style tacos for a while. I've tried different places for the last couple of weeks. Non were good. Until I found this place. I ordered 2 fish and 3 shrimp tacos. Both fish and shrimp tacos were big and one tortilla only. I could not close the taco due to the piece of fish being huge and the 3 shrimp on each taco were humongous. These are the biggest fish/shrimp tacos I've seen to date. Needles to say I was only able to eat 3 of the 5 tacos. Excellent tacos. Fish tacos are $3, shrimp are $5. Good clean restaurant. Very colorfulul vive. Really good service. The only downside is that everything else on the menus is way more expensive than similar places. No combos with beans and rice for under $20. No quesadilla or burritos for under $17. But if you are looking for baja style fish and shrimp tacos, this is the place.“

If you're into fancy places, this restaurant may not be for you; but if you're into great service, great food, and getting your money's worth, then I highly recommended this pleasant surprise in the heart of Escondido. This restaurant accommodates vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters. There is a vegan/vegetarian menu, and anything vegetarian can also be made vegan. Generous sized tacos are served on homemade tortillas. (I prefer the flour). The average person will need 2 tacos to get full and 3 to get stuffed. Spicy and delicious green and red salsas are offered. (My favorite is the flavorful, smoky, red salsa, but I may choose the green salsa depending on the taco). I am a vegan who used to be vegetarian. I have tried most of their vegetarian and vegan menu items. Below is my review. My favorite vegan taco, and favorite taco overall, is the buffalo zucchini taco. This taco is topped with vegan ranch and buffalo sauce, so I do not recommend adding any salsa. A large piece of perfectly breaded zucchini, the star of the show, is accompanied by spiraled carrots, sliced celery, spring mix, and other fresh veggies. My second favorite vegan taco is the avotaco made vegan. Because this taco does not contain cheese, the only vegan substitute that is the aioli. I recommend the green salsa and substituting the corn tortilla for flour. This taco comes with a large slices of avocado tempura style and fresh veggies. MY favorite vegetarian taco, and my former favorite taco overall, is the chile relleno. If you love cheese, you will be thrilled with the explosion of cheese stuffed inside a breaded chile, accompanied by spring mix and other fresh veggies. The red salsa is amazing with this taco. I have tried the vegan version of this taco, and while still good, I am not the biggest fan of vegan cheeses and usually avoid them. My second favorite vegetarian taco would have to be the avotaco mentioned above or the portobellini, which is full of cheesy mushroom goodness. This taco pairs well with the red salsa. I have not tried it vegan style, as again, I am not a fan of vegan cheeses.
