“Reading these 1 star reviews really makes me upset. I have been a regular JTYH patron since 2013 and just got takeout from here today (Feb-26). They are a rare restaurant that hasn’t heavily increased prices AND maintained generous portions, even after COVID.

My top recs are the pan fried pork buns, the best I have ever had. The dough is perfectly cooked and the meat inside is delicious and huge, generous portion. I also love their beef rolls, (also my favorite I’ve ever found), because they have a good helping of veggies and sauce (and beef of course) so it’s not dry like so many other places. Then I also get their sliced pork ears as an appetizer.

I do like their fried noodle dishes and noodle soups (though I wouldn’t claim these are the best in SGV). They are still worth a try and a solid option to round out your meal.

For the past four years, the restaurant has been pretty quiet whenever I get takeout, usually dinner time. Parking is very easy (bc it is in a lot with other tenants that are closed by then). I have zero issues w their (not particularly warm) service. They make good food and pack it well and have it all ready to go when I need it!“

If it's raining and you want some warm pho. This is the spot for you. Close to South Gate, Lynwood, Bell Gardens, Downey and Paramount. It has drive thru and a small mom and pop restaurant that should definitely be supported for the great food. Had Beef Pho and Shrimp Pho, with Creamy ragoons and Veggie Egg rolls topped off with Tai Tea. Yum!!! #TheSpot“

“Waited in the rain for about 40 minutes. Was glad this place didn't dissappoint. Beef Bowl, Dumplings, and Beef Noodles were really good. I got so full I couldn't try the Dan Dan Noodles or Spicy Beef Soup. Not pictures was the shrimp fried rice which was also tasty. Would come back again.“

Food is still consistent though! Mushroom in brown sauce ($12.95), vege fish in brown sauce ($12.50), and tofu pumpkin hot pot ($12.95) are still good choices and they're all on the lunch special menu!

Surface level parking in the plaza gets congested very easily, so try the 2 levels of underground parking for more spots.“

The tempura was good, sauce was great too. Katsu was fried perfectly, sauce was tangy and fantastic, just wish the pork was more moist/tender. Karaage was just okay, probably wouldn’t order it again, most of the flavor came from the sauce. My dad loved his eel bowl set, flavored and cooked well. My katsudon bowl was delicious, again katsu was a little dry, togarashi is a must with this bowl. And the cold soba noodles were great, the sauce dip was perfectly seasoned and noodles were perfect texture, very refreshing to eat.

“Me and the husband went here for the first time. We chose the premium as we didn't like any of the meats or broths in the prime option. I ordered the sukiyaki broth and the native chongquin Mala. The Mala was very spicy as soon as I got it. I removed all the chilies, and it was still spicy but delicious. I started mixing both broths to balance spiciness, and it was delicious. They have a self-serve buffet with many options, and the meats are ordered at the table. My favotire was the pork belly, shrimp and the fish filet. My mouth is watering just thinking about it ?. “Super addicting broths. I usually get the sukiyaki and the mala and they both had a good balance. Service feels very family run, which is awesome. Definitely one of the best Vietnamese home cooked meals at a restaurant in the area. The flavour is so authentic that can transport you back to the Southern of Vietnam (mien Tay) in a bite. We ordered the lunch set for family and cannot fault a thing. It came with canh chua, ca chien, goi tom thit, ca kho, bap cai chua. Flavour was mouth watering and all very good value for money.
