“I visited Classy Hippie on Saturday, January 17th for a quick meet and greet with the owner and some local friends. This place has a quaint welcoming atmosphere, an extensive selection of high quality loose leaf teas, a variety of grab-n-go bites as well as dine in favs, plus a self service option for quick check out. The aroma of fun, service and hospitality pair with a perfect blend of classy hippie that fills the air. I purchased the pineapple mimosa and English breakfast cream tea and couldn’t wait to get it back to South Carolina to savor the delicate blend of craftsmanship from someone who could only produce such perfection as a tea and coffee sommelier. “I came to this restaurant because it has high ratings, and it's walking distance from the Amtrak station from which I came. I ordered the Chicken Tagine, which contained both white and dark meat. The flavor of the dish was phenomenal. I really enjoyed it. I didn't like that the white meat was really chewy, but the dark meat was very juicy. The atmosphere didn't seem very authentic, but it was very clean and pleasant. I recommend this place.”

“This place has all you can eat sushi which pretty much tells you everything you need to know about it haha. But they have a lot more than just sushi! They also have cooked foods, appetizers, soups, and all sorts of interesting dishes. And to top it all off, they have a full bar with lots of unique and very affordable drink options! The service is pretty fast and the fish is actually pretty good for all you can eat. I'd definitely consider coming back again sometime!”

“We're able to finally visit Moonbelly Bakery and it was as good as they say. We arrived past 8am and the line wasn't long. We had the cardamom bun, almond croissant, tomato and goat cheese, nectarine and cream, and they're cold brew special. There's a small dining area outside of the bakery where we ate our pastries. They're filling, hearty, and divine. We'll definitely go back to try their other baked goods.”

This was my first time in Sacramento and I’m so glad we were able to get a table here. I now understand why Majka received a Michelin award in 2025 because the food was ASTRONOMICALLY good.

We were recommended the Peaches & Burrata, Rigatoni w/ Pork Ragu, and the daily special pizza. The flavors of each dish were married together SO well that I thought my soul was leaving my body with each bite. This was probably the best pizza I’ve also ever ate to date… Also, DO NOT FORGET TO ORDER THE GREEN SAUCE!!!! It’s a bit spicy but HOLY MOLY it elevates the pizza to a different level.

Sitting at the bar allowed us to see how everything was meticulously prepared and gave me serious “The Bear” vibes haha! The owner also roams around and assists the staff so it’s always nice seeing the great minds behind the food at work!

And 3 enchilads beef. Chicken and cheese. It was just awful. Tortillas were store bought and extra charge, sauce and salsa for chips tasted like out of a jar or can. Beans were good.Waiter was surly felt not one smile beneath that mask.(I saw the black girl's comment) We are white if that helps) Service was fast. Ambiance is great but I was just really cravin some good authentic mexican. We won't be back.left most of our food on the plate. $79.00 for 3 of us.”

“We hosted our end of the year celebration for the Junior League of Sacramento outside at the large table under the pergola. The weather was beautiful, the ambiance was serene and the aperol spritzes and the bubbly rose were everyone favorite. We made a reservation for 16 people and opted to work with Cheryl to order from the catering menu, which I highly recommend for a group this size! The food was exquisite and very plentiful portions! Thank you Cheryl and Betty team we had a memorable night!”

“First time here and it was good. Ordered L.I. Teas and they were a little heavy on the coke, more sweet than sour but were okay. Got a pizza and a burger. The burger was the best I have had in as long as I can remember. 10 out of 10! The pizza thought was a flop, literally. Stretched too thin and big outter crust. I ordered a pizza, not breadsticks. The bottom was paper-thin and the cheese and topping immediately slid off. Thr ingredients were awesome just not well executed. Service was great, not very busy on a Tuesday. We will come back again.”

“Was pleasantly surprised by all the food and drink options here! I didn’t expect so many Thai fusion dishes given the name, but I love Thai food, so I was definitely not complaining. The service was amazing from the moment we walked in, and On brought such a warm, positive energy throughout the night.

Our favorite part was how incredibly dog-friendly the patio is—they even served our pup a whole meal for free! 🐶 it looked yummy enough for a human to eat! The only downside was the mosquitoes, but On immediately brought us mosquito spray and a fly swatter, which was above-and-beyond service.

“Meeting a friend for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, she recommended we come to Southside Super. I had never heard of this place or dined here before so I was excited to try something new!

When we arrived, it was fairly crowded, but we managed to place our order at the register and snag a seat inside. Unfortunately, having arrived later in the day, all of the hot and cold to-go items were sold out.

I decided to try the chicken pho from their made-to-order menu. My friend ordered the spam fried rice. The food came out relatively quickly, and you can tell that it is absolutely made with the utmost care, love, and highest quality of ingredients.

This was hands-down some of the best chicken pho I have ever had in my life. I will definitely be coming back to Southside Super, especially earlier in the day to try some of their grab and go items, as well as more of their menu.”

“I’ve been lucky enough to have seen this taqueria from the first day they opened, in Campbell, Ca. which was the original location prior to moving to the Sacramento area. The food is prepared by a family who pours just the right amount of love into each dish. For me, I fell in love with the food the first day, then I fell in love with the family. Mom, Dad, Sons, and Sister(their daughter always called me brother and I called her sister❤️) all knew me by first name basis. I’d take orders from the business located in our complex and order 10 burritos at a time and always left with a free burrito for myself. I gained over 50lbs eating their food because it was the best around. Over the past 25-30years they’ve been in business, I’ve made the trek to Sacramento to see the family and eat their amazing food multiple times. “I went to Hawthorne's Hideout for a May 4th Star Wars event. It was fun to see all the Star Wars stuff around the room mixed in with the tiki items. The drinks were all served in different cups, depending on what you ordered. And there was a cool show as each set of drinks were being prepared to be served. It was fun to be around other Star Wars fans during the time hand hearing the stories of Hawthorne. The food served was good and came out during the middle of the event. If you do go, I would recommend to wander through out the room to see everything you can on the walls, the floor, and the ceiling. It was so much fun.”

“We visited Seasons Coffee Roasters this morning and we could not have possibly asked for a better way to start our day. The food was cooked to absolute perfection, was fresh as can be and hit the spot entirely. The hot mocha latte was to die for with such a classy design of hearts in the cream, the iced caramel latte phenomenally brewed, and don’t even get us started on the grilled cheese panini. The crunch of the crust and the oozing of each bite literally made us forget every care in the world, the prosciutto and bruschetta absolutely unrivaled, and to top it off the snickerdoodle cookie was as expertly made as we could ever hope for. The customer service was out of this world, huge thanks to Sam who made sure we were taken care of in every way. And the coffee shops vibe and energy provided the most pleasant vibe and energy so much so that we will most definitely visit again. Highly recommend.”

But the true test of the food, and the reason I am writing this review- is because my picky eating 5 year old asked me to. He wanted to give 11 stars for the best pizza he ever had. He was very pleased with the sauce and the cheese, and said he is so happy they didn’t put random green things on it. (I think he means oregano)

My pizza was also delicious, and as close to a tavern style pizza (Chicago native) I have gotten in Sacramento. (Thin crispy, extra well done, square cut)

“Went for Mother’s Day. Wait for food was kinda crazy 1.5 hours for the appetizer. Food tasted good but portions were extremely small for the $85pp . I got the steak with fingerling potatoes and fava beans. I literally had 2 potatoes, 5 beans and possibly 3oz of very rare steak. Needless to say $300+ later… we are still hungry and hitting a drive thru”

“One Star- The food was not what I expected. The flavors of Italy was not there. The seafood pasta- clams and Musscles, we undercooked, shrimp and scallops were low quality and bland. 0 flavor. Sauce was very lacking in flavor. Couldn't tell if there was garlic in it or not. The bread had a distinct hint of burnt flavor on the back of my tounge. Not sure if you need to request bread or parmesan or what but I saw lots of people getting extra service. I definitely won't be back and maybe thats the point of giving some folks bad food or service is so their kind won't come back? Who knows but mission accomplished. I nor anyone I know will be back.”

“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. I ordered the Chimichurri grass-fed steak with balsamic brussel sprouts and herb-roasted potatoes. All of it was delicious ( and healthy too!). The deserts were absolutely killer too. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in Long Beach.”

“Absolutely the best sushi in Sacramento. I discovered them on a date, we decided sushi on a whim when the raman place several blocks into mid town was closed. It was during the transition of new ownership before their official re-grand opening. They had for the first time cut their dry aged tuna sashimi. My girlfriend and I had just finished and we're about to pay when the owners stopped us for a sampling after we had just finished one of the best sushi meals we have ever had.

The dry aged sashimi was the icing on the cake, it had a clean and buttery flavor. The fish melted in our mouths and was unlike anything we had ever had before. Since then we have gone back several times and it has become our favorite restaurant.

The spicy edamame is also the best I have ever eaten, the other dry aged options available are also just as amazing.

I highly recommend ordering the real hand grated wasabi and skipping the stuff from the tube. If you order the dry age, it comes with a serving that for us was able to be used across 2 rolls.

The presentation of the food also met every expectation I could have had entering the restaurant.”

They give you fresh fruit and freshly made conchas when you sit down. We ordered guacamole with chicharrones and the lengua ranchera was to die for! My drink came in a ceramic pig. It was the cutest drink I've ever had! Definitely recommend this place!!
