The sushi here is incredibly fresh and thoughtfully designed. I loved the super nova roll and the ocean roll, my partner liked the special roll. We were offered the typical (complimentary) wasabi and the fresh wasabi. My partner said the fresh is much better and worth ordering. We found the prices here to be reasonable especially considering the quality. We can't wait to go back!“

“Came here not expecting much. The pizza was really good. Not true Neapolitan style, but crunchy and well made. Sauce was tasty and the pizza was well covered in toppings.

“love love love it here! my mom and I stayed in fairfax for a whole week and we ate here several times. food is amazing, atmosphere is amazing, staff is amazing. special shout out to our main man Ty who remembered us by name and was always super fun and friendly every time we came in. he may even play you a few songs on his guitar if you’re lucky. this place was definitely a highlight of our trip and i’ll miss going there when we leave. we could also tell that this place is a huge hit with the locals which is always nice to see. thanks for all of the great food, drinks, conversations, and songs Barefoot Cafe! until next time! -Ebony“

“* Returned in October 2025, and bringing up the Star rating. Broth was tasty in the tonkatsu ramen and very filling. Chicken Curry dish was good. They turned off some of the overhead lights to help with a “not so bright room” Good call! *

Do you ever find yourself craving ramen or something Asian? I am so happy that this spot opened up in Novato! We had the edamame (glad they serve it warm), the curry chicken katsu don and tonkatsu miso ramen. You can control the spiciness in your dish by adding their homemade chili oil!“

“The maple blueberry muffin was the best muffin I’ve ever had and I am not generally overly effusive in my reviews. The London Fog was also perfectly balanced, not too sweet with the earl grey coming through nicely. Also kudos to the baker for the perfect rings on the croissant! “What a gem of a restaurant! We unintentionally stumbled upon Bolinas earlier this month while on vacation. When the Muir Woods closed due to the government shutdown, we pivoted, and we are so happy we did. Our party of 8, which they so accommodatingly allowed us to spilt into separate tables for 4 adults and 4 tweens, had the best time on their patio. The service was stellar and warm, the atmosphere was friendly and there wasn't a stranger to be found, and the food was even better than both those combined. The ginger ale has a spicy taste and you can really taste the ginger. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re expecting a soda that tastes like Canada Dry. The mango lassi drinks in the fridge are really good, and I don’t generally eat mangos.

“I recently moved to San Anselmo, and am so happy I “found” The Hummingbird in nearby Fairfax. It’s in a good location at 57 Broadway Blvd. with plenty of free parking across the street. I really like the New Orleans vibe at The Hummingbird. The menu includes several creole items alongside standard breakfast and lunch choices. The servers are friendly, helpful, and efficient. The food is fresh and delicious. I love their catfish po’ boy sandwich. The fried green tomato BLT is very good too. My third visit will happen next week — I’m thinking waffle & fried chicken this time . . . or maybe the fried shrimp po’ boy sandwich.“

“Went here due to the 5 star rating and wow, it earns every single one. The bread here is the best bahn mi bread I've ever had on a sandwich, the pork is juicy and the cost is insanely economical.
