“Yummy food and great service!“

“Came here with my dad for the 1st time today after seeing them advertise on social media. My Pop's ordered the salmon combo plate with mac and cheese + greens. I had the brisket sandwhich combo with a potato latke and side of coleslaw. Came out to just under $50 for the both of us, not bad at all! Unique flavor profile, nice sized portions, and positive atmosphere. The food was fresh, place was clean, and the customer service top tier- the owner was there which was a bonus. The coleslaw isn't my favorite, as it's a pickled variety tasting heavily of vinegar, otherwise it was finger lickin' good! Will be returning soon. Thanks Crazyblock! +🪙“

“I've been wanting to visit forever, and it didn't disappoint! We arrived near opening time with no wait, but there was a line by the time we finished.

We shared smoked brisket, smoked ayam lumpia, nasi goreng, rujak slaw, and macaroni goreng—just the right amount for three of us. The brisket was tender, and everything was flavorful, with the slaw providing a nice crunch. I'd definitely return!“

“I'm from the southeast and grew up eating some of the best BBQ in the world. I've also had BBQ all over the US, including Texas, Kansas City, Tennessee, Georgia, and the Carolinas. Roderick's doesn't beat the BBQ from back home, but for California BBQ standards, it was a solid 10/10. Overall I'd give them an 8/10 if we're comparing across the entire US BBQ space. We tried smoked chicken and ribs with coleslaw and baked beans. It was delicious and we will be back. Thanks Roderick's for the friendly and quick service!“

“Good spot hidden away inside Pelton Plaza. The lunch combos are great. Love the mapo tofu here. Generous portion for the lunch special, comes with a small salad, big scoop of rice, and 1 crunchy egg roll. The mapo tofu is not too spicy and tastes great.“

“Super awesome place! Was traveling out of town and I got the prosciutto toast with arugula and caramelized onions, and it was great!

The best part was how awesome the staff was with my son. He wanted a mango and peach smoothie which wasn’t on the menu, and they went out of their way to help us customize it into something he would actually like and he loved it.

We’ll definitely go again.“

“The catfish is second to none the drinks are impressive but no Nos energy drink and the clerk is non , no smile no gratitude just take my money take my number and move on, Dmv would love to hire her if things dont work out at the store. BBQ is the shisniz though.“

Ordered the Spicy Chicken BBQ, which was pretty yummy. It could have had a little more flavor, and some of the chicken got a little too charred on the sizzling plate, but it was still decent.

The bon chon was good. I liked the tofu bon chon and the Jap Chae.

Also ordered the tteokbokki (medium spicy), which was good too. I don't think I like it personal-preference-wise, but I can recognize it was well made.

Also, entrees like the Spicy Chicken BBQ had reduced prices for weekday lunch, so I recommend coming for lunch.

Overall, a decent spot. might come back again!“

“Was in the neighborhood and tried for the first time. It was really good. I got the ribs ( very tender). Good proportion. The greens were good also ( Not like mines) but way better than most places. I will be back!!! And Tim was the best!!“

“Real, honest BBQ. I had the 2 meat combo with brisket, ribs, mac & cheese and potato salad. Best BBQ I have had since I was in Austin Texas! The owner was working hard with the rest of his employees and was the one to take my order. He seemed very nice and was helpful. I work within walking distance so I can see myself becoming a regular here. Canyons is an excellent addition to Castro Valley's food scene.“

“I’ve just recently discovered ibringdasmoke and I’m glad I did! My first order with them was the smoked brisket…it was so good! I just recently ordered a slab of ribs from them and my friend and I loved it! We got a little sample of the Mexican street corn which was very nice of them. I thought it was ok, but my friend enjoyed it. Their spices and the tenderness of their meats are great as well as their bbq sauce. The meat isn’t overly salty which is great. I have recommended this place to my friends and I will definitely be back!“

“BBQs and small bites in an unassuming location which seats about 30 people. QR code scan and mobile ordering. They bring it to you. Cuisine is pan-Chinese.

We got all types of skewers: chicken, pork, cauliflower, green beans. All were decent. Chicken and green beans were standout.

The grilled oysters are their specialty and was well made. Wished the sauce had seeped deeoer into the oyster, as opposed to a top heavy feel. Still good.

Cauliflower skewers could’ve been either softer or crunchier. Felt it’s should’ve stayed on the grill another 5min

The cold ramen was fine. I think hot ramen is more my thing.

The pineapple chicken was a fun variation on sweet poultry dishes like orange chicken. Could’ve used some sesame seeds and less marinade. Would order again.

Ordered sides of white rice to with it all.

Cold cucumber salad was well seasoned and light.

Spring rolls were good too.

“The fried chicken is crispy outside and juicy tender inside. The various chicken combos are good deals. There is a wait for orders because the food is not precooked and sitting under heat lamps. Parking can be difficult and the small parking lot fills up quickly. I will definitely be returning!“

“Stopped by Rue Rue’s BBQ and had a really good experience. The barbecue was smoky, flavorful, and cooked just right, with portions that were definitely satisfying.

“Rocky's has been a great place to enjoy for quite a long time. I have enjoyed many different burgers here but I do love the western style with onion rings and bacon and cheese and of course barbecue sauce. I have been here after trips to the Oakland zoo. I have been here with family members that decided to meet here for a great burger and some fries. I've also been here with just a minimal amount of money in my pocket to enjoy a burger and some comfort close to my home neighborhood off of Davis Street. I have to say this place is a hidden gem and if you know it's worth it to go and have a nice burger the way you like it and enjoy your time in San Leandro. It is close to St. Leander's if you are headed there, but it's also really close to most of downtown San Leandro within walking distance which is really enjoyable if you're looking to go up and down East 14th and enjoy all the different businesses of San Leandro has to offer. I really enjoy this place for the flavor and the burgers the way that they're dressed and the size that you can have. It is definitely worth a try.“

“I came into this restaurant because usually the lights line was way too long and I was looking for something delicious. And now as much as I love me a good cheap overpacked meal over there at asia, I thought why not try this place out? I love Chinese barbecue. And my goodness did it not disappoint. I was served quickly, efficiently and before you know it, I had some crispy pork belly over rice in my hands.
I didn't get a drink so I had to go nearby to get one. But in between the drive I took a little sample of that pork belly and that initial bite was just absolutely phenomenal. Now I will say because of the way that they get the crispiness. This is more on the saltier side for some of you folks so just be aware of that. But if you're all for that you're going to enjoy this pork belly because it was absolutely fantastic. The crisp to the tenderness of the actual meat itself. You can see it for yourself in the pictures. Absolute chef's kiss. Give yourself a little treat and come by and try this place out.

I will say at the lunch buffet didn't look as appetizing but maybe that's because I'm spoiled with you. Know who but for the barbecue this was immaculate. I'm going to try the duck next

“Authentic Chinese take out place. Food is so delicious and the lady that helped us was very nice. We loved the char siu and thin noodles. The stewed duck with potatoes was very comforting too. We want to try the pork belly next time. We’ll be back.“

“Was looking for a place to eat on my birthday new years day, my stepbro picked it out, he said he ate there 20 yrs ago, I was reluctant as it looked outdated and empty,but I was surprised when the food came in quickly, the staff was friendly and the plates of food were huge! I kept asking my bro if he accidentally ordered family size, nope. We ordered egg rolls, 1 order must have had 10 pieces! Delicious spare ribs, wonton soup, honey walnut prawns (jumbo!)
