I ordered pasta with shrimp and mushrooms in a light tomato sauce which was very tasty and very good. My husband had A pasta dish with a variety of seafood. It was Valentine’s so the service was quite slow. For dessert I ordered a warm Apple strudel with vanilla ice cream., delicious! TL;DR: outstanding ingredients, loved their turkey sandwich, delicious focaccia. Outdoor seating. ~$15-19 per sandwich. Does take a bit of time to be made, so order ahead!

Lucky Hen Larder has a variety of hot and cold sandwiches, generally served on their house focaccia or ciabatta breads. They also serve up ready-to-eat and pre-packaged Charcuterie foods, such as cured meats and cheeses.

All the sandwich options looked excellent, but I ended up going with their famous Turkey sandwich on focaccia, that featured thin turkey slices, crispy pancetta, rosemary aioli, cranberry-fig compote, triple cream brie, and arugula.

Already from the ingredient list you can tell it was going to be good, but this sandwich was truly excellent. All of the ingredients meshed perfectly, from the saltiness of the bread and turkey, to the creaminess of the Brie, to the sweetness of the cranberry-fig compote.

Would definitely come back again, but keep in mind it takes about 20-25 minutes to get your sandwich, so you may benefit from ordering ahead. Outdoor seating only. I paid ~$15 for my sandwich - totally worth it!“

We've had wonderful conversations with her the last couple times we were here. The food was yummy and I love that the restaurant is far removed from the hustle and bustle of the casino. The good or bad thing for me is that I live over 100 miles from here...so, I will have more reasons to vist family in Santa Maria just to make a stop here. So, what I got was the peanut butter cookie (best I've ever had with or w/o wheat). I also the super food latte w/beet root and raw cocoa...yum❣ Next time I'm adding and espresso shot to it. The omelet features their Danish sausage with havarti cheese. Very light and great. Fruit cup was all fresh fruit, nothing from a can. Service fast and efficient. A busy festive place. They easily accommodate groups without notice. The atmosphere could be better...maybe different lighting and it feels a bit like a cafeteria, but the food and service are just spectacular. I had the Risotto Primavera which had lots of veggies. It was large enough to feed two people but I ended up having some left over to take back to hotel (yay!). Husband had the lasagna which was a good healthy serving size. We would recommend this place for sure!“
