My brother and sister-in-law are strict vegetarians. When we realized their vegetarian tostada's came with Mexican rice cooked in chicken stock, our hostess Kaitlyn was personification of equanimity and professionalism. Without skipping a beat and with grace took away their plates and remade their orders . Remained attentive to our needs , no awkwardness. It is said that salsas make or break a Mexican restaurant. The salsas for me were too mild but Kaitlyn and the rest of the staff had stellar service, were very welcoming, and their spirit and warmth more than made up for the lack of fire in the salsas... Though my brother found the salsa fiery too. And the drive back as the sun set and drenched the Santa Rita hills in amber glow was a cherry on top of the already great mood thanks to. Kaitlyn and the staff at Dos Carlitos (and the stiff drinks). Thank you.“

“Grappolo in Santa Ynez is a true gem. The food is amazing — bar none, the best ravioli we have ever had. The special pumpkin ravioli was out of this world — we can’t stop talking about it and will probably be dreaming about this dish for the next week. You have to try it! We also had the lemon caper sole, which was equally delicious and perfectly prepared. As self-proclaimed foodies, our expectations were high, but Grapolo far exceeded every one of them. Our server Eric made the evening even more memorable with his warm and attentive service. The quaint ambiance transported us straight to Tuscany — it felt like dining at a family-run hillside restaurant, authentic and second to none. We will absolutely be back — no matter what. Im a difficult person to please and let me tell you everything was perfect. Restrooms were super clean and dining area. Staff was very attentive and paid attention to detail. Especially the female bartender and our waitress. I ordered a mint Julep that took me back to the Kentucky derby. The food for the kids was delicious and our food was amazing. Definitely recommend this place. I would like to make a recommendation add a steak to the menu for dinner service.“

“My mom placed a huge order for 30+ people and the food was amazing. I love the kung pow chicken, orange chicken, and broccoli beef, with chicken chow main. Both steamed rice and fried rice are delicious (but I prefer the fried rice). We had leftovers that stayed fresh for another week. Everyone enjoyed the food and the pickup was very easy.“

Our server, Daniela, greeted us right away, took our drink order quickly, and followed up shortly after for our food. Everything came out fast and tasted amazing. We shared a Danish pancake (a must-try!), and also had the chicken fried steak and hash Benedict, all excellent!“

Service was excellent and so was the food that we ordered— fresh squeezed OJ, Ratatouille Crepes, European style Waffles with green apples, and Crepes Benedict. Plenary of free parking in the town. Lots of boutique shops nearby if you want to get a pleasant walk after the meal.“

Favorite appetizer the meatballs, and the marinera sauce was done just right. Dinner we all did pizza, spaghetti carbonara, or the Milanese di pollo.
