“For the moderate price and ambiance, it all worked. Two adults and two preteens who eat out often. The chicken lettuce wrap was spot on. Crispy, clean, non-soggy lettuce; perfectly seasoned, savory chicken. We can eat this anytime. The crab wontons were good; they just needed a little more seasoning. Cucumber salad was spot on for summer: fresh, lively & crunchy. The children's sweet and sour chicken and kid's Lo Mein resulted in two clean plates. The only thing we did not like and sent back was the lychee lemonade: water with tons of sugar, really like twice the sugar of a soda can, no taste of lychee, and vague chemical lemony. Service was good, attentive and cordial. We will come back.“

the garlic noodles were so fragrant, garlicky, buttery, and perfectly chewy. you also HAVE to order the mapo tofuuu!!! the flavors just hit different 🤌🏼 so rich, savory, a little spicy, and sooo good with rice.

the sweet and sour spare ribs had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, and the fried rice was yummy, simple, and comforting ♡

we also tried their new corn cheese with shrimp and it was such an interesting combo!! super creamy and cheesy, so if you love cheesy stuff you’ll definitely enjoy this one 🧀🍤

all of their flavored teas are really good too, but the strawberry yogurt drink was my favorite 🍓 it’s creamy, refreshing, and not too heavy.

“This restaurant came on my fyp so we de used to try it. I've only tried jajangmyeon once so I can't tell if what we had here is really good. We ordered jajang, sweet and sour chicken sauce on the side, walnut shrimp, salt & pepper pork and supposedly schezhuan beef but came out as beef broccoli. Didn't complain about the beef since it's freshly made. We love everything and portions are big. Atmosphere is super old.. hard to explain but clean and dingy at the same time. We will definitely come back if we're in the area. A must try.“

Opted for the beef bone broth; however, there was a taste/smell to it, reminiscent of lamb (I only got beef), which was unexpected and a bit off-putting for me.

Service: Decent. While it isn't a standard sit-down restaurant, be prepared to be charged a gratuity for a party of six or more.

“Amazing experience over 4th of July weekend. Perfect location kiddos were able to run in the open space/water fountain area right in front of patio seating. Everything we got from the chicken dish, sesame noodles, chicken soup, and assorted dumplings was delicious. Our kids kept asking us to order more chicken dumplings lol. Exceptional friendly service. “Delicious pay-per-pound hot pot at The Source! The service was really good. Our waitress kept checking up on us and our kids. The restaurant is spacious and very clean. They have one area where you grab your bowl and load up with all the ingredients you'd like. They even have a scale for you to check the weight in case you are trying not to order too much. They basically have everything you would want at a pay-per-pound hot pot. Actually they have items I had never seen before. I didn't take a picture to type down the name but they were fun ingredients that even my kids loved.

Their sauce selection is decent too. The only thing they didn't have here was sacha sauce but this is a Korean style restaurant. I can't expect them to have it lol. Overall, definitely would come back the next time I'm at the Source!“

“Our favorite family owned Chinese restaurant is closed on Sundays, so we tried something new. Mu shu pork was delicious (better than our other favorite) and we’ve also enjoyed the Chinese chicken salad, Peking dumplings, and vegetable chow mein. The dim sum was excellent—har gow and shumai were delicate and flavorful, and the Peking duck was crispy and delicious. “Ok so we used to lived down the street from here. Approximately 2014 to 2015. One of those places that I get this nostalgia feeling...before we had our kids and before we have what we have now. The days of struggle. We used to get their deal buy 3 get 1 and we would eat it for a week. We just moved to California. We opened our clothing store and everything was tight budget. But this place in more ways saved us. They have the best bbq chicken in town and their portions is massive still...12 years later. My husband and I graduated from college...we adopted 2 kids...we came back to this place with pride and still got their specials. The owner is still the same.“

Was literally talking on the phone the whole time I’m ordering my food. What bothered me is that I asked for sauce on the side but being she’s on the phone she apparently didn’t hear me and poured the sauce on the food. I lacked to check and once I get back to my destination my sweet and sour chicken is all soggy. Get off your phone be professional so you can pay attention to what is being asked from the customer.“

Most of the Chinese food in Long Beach is actually pretty disgusting to be honest. It’s just quick grabbing go places. This restaurant, Dan, Dan, modern and a couple near Bixby Knowles are pretty decent, but Long Beach is not known for their Chinese food if you want Cambodian or you want Vietnamese there’s tons of options and great Thai, but definitely not Chinese

This is actually a great spot but the one issue I have is customer service. It just seems like everyone’s kind of bummed or not really excited to be there except for the manager. I was impressed one time. She actually brought my food out to the Alley because there’s no parking.

“Today at M’s kitchen, I went with the chef’s suggestion of “cold noodles” (which is the meat sauce noodle with soy bean paste, ask for cold noodles). The pronunciation sounds like Tsa Chang lian mein, and while my mandarin is terrible the food was thankfully not. The cold noodles, cucumbers, and pork sauce hit the spot in this warm California afternoon and i couldn’t be more satisfied with both the taste and my full stomach. 10/10 Would eat again. —Recommendations— For those who want a comforting dinning experience, Treat yourself to these delicious dishes: -general tso’s chicken -spicy diced chicken -green onion pancakes -braised string beans -house special beef -braised shrimp -cold meat sauce noodle with soy bean paste —Finger foods for your office/party— For those looking to feed your office finger foods ask for a party tray (I’d get the last 3 since they are more likely “known” by the people you are feeding): -spicy diced chicken -xiao long bao -pan fried dumplings -spring rolls -green onion pancakes When in doubt, do not be afraid to ask Monica the owner for suggestions. “Sam Woo has some of the best wonton noodles with roasted duck! 🍜🦆 The wontons are delicious, the noodles are perfectly cooked, and the duck is tender, flavorful, and crispy. What really stood out was his genuine care in making our wedding affordable - he offered suggestions to minimize our budget wherever possible, rather than pushing us to spend more on additional services!

Sichuan Beef Lunch Special (medium heat)-
A tad salty, and I have a solid tolerance to salt. Although, perhaps requesting medium heat meant adding extra fermented chili bean paste, thus a bit too salty. The Sichuan Beef Lunch Special had a fair amount of beef, and a heaping portion of onions. $9.99 is a reasonable price for the amount of food given, and provided a satisfying hot meal.

The cashier was friendly & helpful with recommendations. Yummy Noodle Kitchen is a fast casual eatery, located inside 99 Ranch Market. Seating is shared with the in-house to go cafeteria.

For $9.99, Yummy Noodle Kitchen is a solid food option. How does it compare with the former tenant? From my recollection, Changan Kitchen had more generous portions, including more rice. Yummy Noodle Kitchen's lunch specials are paired with a small bowl of rice. However, it's been a year or two since Changan Kitchen was open, and prices have skyrocketed to egregious levels, for many things. So, keeping prices to a reasonable $9.99, Yummy Noodle Kitchen's lunch specials are an affordable meal option, which I will come back for, whenever I crave Chinese food.“
