The MalaTang here is genuinely the best I’ve had, it’s so rich and flavorful that, for the first time, I finished the entire bowl.

“If your into the medicinal hot pot than this is the place. They have the spicy Szechuan peppercorn broth, that broth is spicy 🌶️. The selection of meats and fish are great. You build your own sauce, so put everything in it. You can basically put everything in and still can’t go wrong. They also have a little desert bar for you at the end to freshen up the palate and breath. They even have tooth brush and other hygiene items for you in the restroom. Nice touch.“

“My friend and I ate here on a Saturday afternoon. The weather was fair and there are options for indoor and outdoor dining. There are plenty of ingredients to choose from: bok choy, fish balls, imitation crab sticks, fish cakes, tofu, ramen and/or egg noodles. The ingredients look fresh and well-maintained. Once you are finished choosing your ingredients on a large bowl, the cashier will have it weighed and you'll choose your preferred broth on the menu. I opted for chicken broth and chose it to be not spicy. The total price varies per weight, but it's worth it especially if you're craving authentic hot-pot like soup. Once you finish paying, they'll lend you a buzzer and it will beep once your order is ready.

We only waited for less than 10 minutes, and I was impressed with the presentation and service. I added some green onions on top, right before eating it outside. The broth has an umami flavor, while the egg noodles and vegetables I chose were not overcooked. I also love the chewiness of the fish balls and tofu. I'll be back again if I'm craving some Fast Hot Pot by UC Irvine.“

“We went to this place as a vegan group. The waitress was knowledgeable about what are vegan and what are not. We had the vegan hot pots with Spicy Thai Lemongrass and another one with Spicy Miso. Two of us had the Thai Red Curry with brown rice. We had air fried spring rolls too. The food here is healthy. However vegan options are not a lot. There were 2 different kind of smoothies with coconut milk which were delicious. It is lacking of vegan desserts. All of their desserts have milk in it.“

“I normally don’t enjoy shabu shabu, but I was surprised with how much I liked the the quality of the meats and the ambiance at Miyabi. Maybe I’ve just been cheating myself by not spending a little bit more for higher-quality shabu shabu. I’m a fan of their crispy garlic. But I'm happy to hear NC is here instead! I recommend trying their spicy beef hot pot if you can handle and like spicy food. “My cousins brought me here to celebrate my 25th birthday. I love shabu, and I have yet to try this spot out.

Parking: They're located in a medium sized plaza, and there's plenty of free parking.

Ambiance/Environment: It's very clean inside. There's a decent amount of seating. We visited on a Thursday night, so it wasn't too busy.

Service: Our server was efficient. We didn't catch her name, but she was knowledgable about the menu when we asked questions. Throughput was under 15 min after ordering. After receiving our orders, our server checked on us a couple times.

Soup & meats: My bf and I ordered the 'specials for 2' and went with the shared brisket set. The soup was decent; wasn't too salty. My favorite part were the briskets. It came with a generous amount of briskets. The toppings were also fresh. This special included beers and desserts.“

Dim Sum was excellent and traditional, with tea carts going by with all kinds of dim sum small dishes: dumplings, buns, spring rolls, congee, all kinds of desserts, etc. It was a very satisfying meal and the jasmine tea was just perfect. Service could not have been better. Don't know the cost because I was a guest. Will definitely return!“
