“I liked MLBB more than Nice to Meet You in Irvine. The soups are more flavorful and the skewers are much better. Only drawback is that there are less variety in hot pot ingredients, sliced meats, and side dishes (hot/cold). But overall for the promotion price of $20 for lunch, it’s really hard to beat!“

“I recently tried Show Hotpot and was blown away by the quality of their broth!
The MalaTang here is genuinely the best I’ve had, it’s so rich and flavorful that, for the first time, I finished the entire bowl.
The atmosphere and service were also great, making the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish.
Highly recommend Show Hotpot for any hotpot lover, especially if you’re a fan of MalaTang!“

“01SEP2024 | Nice to Meet You Skewer Hot Pot is a chic hotpot restaurant. My first impression was that it was clean, with delicious food and attentive service. The prices are just right for the quality of the food and ingredients. I would give it a 10 out of 10, and we will definitely be coming back.“

“If your into the medicinal hot pot than this is the place. They have the spicy Szechuan peppercorn broth, that broth is spicy 🌶️. The selection of meats and fish are great. You build your own sauce, so put everything in it. You can basically put everything in and still can’t go wrong. They also have a little desert bar for you at the end to freshen up the palate and breath. They even have tooth brush and other hygiene items for you in the restroom. Nice touch.“

“This was absolutely the best hot pot place ever!!
I’ve just recently started eating at different hot pot places and they haven’t really hit the mark.
But what can I say about this place! The food, staff, entire vibe of this resto and area is amazing!
I got the bulgolgi broth and my wife got the spicy pork broth!
You can also mix, but the broths are tasty just as is too. They give you recommendations on what to try and mix together ie- cold soba noodles with broth and meat ??
Highly recommend the rib eye and top cut. There are a bunch of different sides and you can even get crab and shrimps too!
Wide variety of veggies and selection to make your dipping sauce.
All you can eat for 35$ each for great tasting food and ambiance- 100% worth it and definitely coming back“

“Went here to try the ramen. Turns out it was more of a fusion dish where the broth is pho but they use ramen noodles...was not expecting that but because the pho was decent, and the madam behind the counter was super nice, I might come again to try the hot pot!“

“This is probably one of the best shabu shabu places around! Dinner was around $29 per person but unlike hai di lao or maybe happy sheep, the hot pots arnt in a single location, but rather your own pot in front! This makes it easier for those wanting something spicy broth to something light broth like my shoyu broth. They have 2 different meat menus, one with wagyu and one thats the standard meats. Either way, the standard menu still had really tender meats like the ribeye cuts and tenderloin! Some more filling options too included the beef belly and pork belly. Also at the buffet side, there are some nice sides such as takoyaki, gyoza, seaweed salad and oranges and fried rice. There are also vegetables and seafood to get as well! Service was friendly and easy to order extra meats and cleaning up the plates was done easily too by either robot waiter or custodians! Orders were delivered by robot waiters or handed to us by a waiter! They make good use by not programming a robot waiter to go to multiple tables at a time! The only disappointment was they did run out of some stuff such as smoothies and soju which almost consisted of the cocktail menu on the back... At least pepsi is $2 with unlimited refills? Overall it's nice to come back here if i was feeling spendy or treating out for an occasion here again! They seem to always have tables so capacity i hope isn't an issue!“

“This place is so good! You grab a bowl & tongs when you walk in and add in everything you want into the bowl, then they weigh it and cook it for you. The selection is great, with plenty of vegetable options, noodles, fish cakes, seafood, and meat. The broths they have are so flavorful as well, and it makes for a really warming and filling meal. This place is a great deal, and I keep coming back week after week.“

“I love this place. Very clean sitting area. The food always slaps. I love the variety of toppings here. Id recommend if you like authentic Chinese food. I don’t know much of the rest of their menu but the self serve malatang/hotpot is great. I’d recommend the beef bone soup. Mild is good spicy. They also have a self serve topping/sauce bar. The guy working there is really nice. They don’t speak super English well but still very kind and fast service.“

“I absolutely love Kiazen Shabu! The food here is consistently amazing, with fresh ingredients and rich, flavorful broths that make every bite memorable. The owner and the entire team are incredibly friendly, always making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. I especially appreciate how the owner often offers free alcohol to customers, adding that extra touch of hospitality. I first visited when they first opened a few years ago, and at that time, it wasn’t too busy. But with the incredible food, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere, it’s no surprise that Kiazen Shabu has become so popular. Now, it's always packed, so be prepared to wait, especially on weekends and during dinner hours – but trust me, it's worth it! I highly recommend trying most of their dishes; you won’t be disappointed. Kiazen Shabu is a must-visit for anyone who loves delicious food and top-notch service!“

“Fantasic staff! They are always so friendly and helpful! They always remember us when we come in. The shabu is fantastic. The broth selections are wonderful and you can mix and match! Produce is fresh, lots of beers on tap. Only critisism is I wish they would change their chairs, they aren’t comfortable; the food is so good though it’s worth being uncomfortable!“

“This Place is an exciting experience for fans of authentic Sichuan flavors. We chose the half-and-half hot pot base with spicy mala broth and a milder herbal soup. The spicy broth packs a punch with a complex blend of spices, while the herbal soup is a comforting balance. The ingredients, like the thinly sliced beef, shrimp, and vegetables, were fresh and flavorful.
What we ordered:
- Spicy mala broth - 5/5
- Herbal soup - 4/5
- Thinly sliced beef - 5/5
- Shrimp - 4/5
- Vegetables - 4/5
- Tofu - 4/5
Service was attentive, though it can get hectic during busy hours. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant can feel crowded and noisy, but it adds to the lively atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for the quality and variety. If you love hot pot and can handle some spice, YinTang Spicy Hot Pot is worth a visit!“

“It was perfect timing for this Pho Hot Pot restaurant for our post spa/massage dinner! On this day, it did get much cooler in the evening, so hot pot was perfect! Our eyes definitely got hungry when we ordered this "Combo for 4" for just us 2, but it was the perfect opportunity to try different things! Thanks to our awesome server who was able to guide us through the menu, as noobs to the restaurant! Everything we tried was so delish and we had plenty to take home to share with our families! W“

“I came to Tabu Shabu on a Friday right before happy hour ended, and they were kind enough to still honor it—great service! This spot has been hyped a lot, and I’d say it’s worth the visit, especially with the happy hour discount. Without it, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality makes up for it.
I ordered the lamb and beef, both of which were flavorful and satisfying. The highlight was definitely the service of turning my leftover hot pot into porridge—it made for a delicious and hearty late-night meal. It’s a lot of food, so you definitely get your fill.
Overall, a solid spot for hot pot if you’re looking for good quality and unique offerings. Definitely recommend catching happy hour if you can!“

“This is my favorite and go to shabu and its for a reason. the quality of meats here are incredible and they offer different types of cuts with different prices. They also offer more than few options for broth which is a huge plus and my favorite here is the yuzu. moreover, the wait time is not long and they have greta service.“
“So does your policy of a minimum of 2 people eating extend to senior citizens who may not have anyone to dine with???? Shame on you for turning away a paying customer…“

“The drinks are usually pretty amazing and it feels like you get so much! Everyone working there has been nice, sometimes the service can be a little slow. However I got the pineapplenada today and it had so much chamoy in it I couldn’t taste anything else. I kept trying to drink it but eventually gave up and threw the majority of it out.“

“Mokkoji is more than just a shabu spot—it’s dinner and a live drama show. The food is solid, with nice broths and super thin shabu meat (seriously, it’s like dipping tissue paper). But hey, unlimited veggie refills make up for it! The real star of the night? The tea-worthy gossip. The young Asian couple next to us casually revealed they were both cheating on their original partners—spicy, right? Who needs Netflix when you have Mokkoji? Come for the hot pot, stay for the unexpected reality show.“

“Being saturday, the restaurant was packed when we arrived but the wait was very short. Dim Sum was excellent and traditional, with tea carts going by with all kinds of dim sum small dishes: dumplings, buns, spring rolls, congee, all kinds of desserts, etc. It was a very satisfying meal and the jasmine tea was just perfect. Service could not have been better. Don't know the cost because I was a guest. Will definitely return!“

“You know that one restaurant you were eating at since you were little and still go to to this day? For me, it's Boiling Point and they've been around for 20 YEARS! (Wow, I've just aged myself, haven't I?)
I remember having to grab the sauces yourself at a little sauce cart at their OG Hacienda Heights location.
I have SO many memories here and so many favorites, but the 臭臭鍋 (Taiwanese stinky hot pot) will always have my heart.
Some things have changed, like their BRAND NEW drinks menu, but the taste is always just like how I remember it to be~
Thanks for reading! ^-^“

“Came in here a couple days ago, and it was a great visit! The wagyu selection as well as quality is superb, little more on the pricey side but 100% worth it. The service is top-notch, and the ambience is upscale but still relaxed, perfect for any occasion. The A5 wagyu is hands down the best, and the appetizers are great too. It’s the perfect spot for anyone who loves good food and great experiences. 10/10 would definitely come back! Highly recommend!“
