While the ramen choices aren't traditional, they are very consistent and tastes good all the same! I think they have the best tofu in ramen, it is soft and silky without falling apart. Their garlic edamame is also very tasty!“

“My local ramen spot in Valley Glen, Los Angeles, California on the border of Van Nuys and neighboring North Hollwood. Ramen Izakaya is great from take out or dine with a plethora of beverage options as well as eats. Available through doordashz grubhub and ubereats this small chain biz has an incredible creamy vegan ramen, spicy lemon grass ramen, veggie spring rolls, tofu nuggets, shishito peppers, edamame, rice bowls, salads, soups and lots of traditional Japanese and ramen dishes that will please your taste buds times two. They have some decent outdoor seating, but incredibly indoor and a huge parking lot in back. The service is always good and usually very personable. A unique Japanese cuisine eatery with some LA Valley flavor and modern plant-based flare.“

“I had such a great experience here! Danny, the manager, welcomed me right away and even set me up with a perfect corner table—which made the whole meal feel extra relaxed. “Easily the best vegan ramen I’ve ever had. It has a really rich, savory broth, which is a nice change of pace since vegan broth is usually a watered down afterthought at most places. It comes fully loaded with mushrooms and hashbrowns (??!?) but you can add additional veggies or an egg if youre feeling it. Very simple menu but they execution is 1000/10!“

“Visiting from out of town, and happened to have dinner here. I liked that the place was easy to find, and had lots of parking. The service was top notch! Very attentive, quick, and friendly! Hubby had the lime and chili ramen and really enjoyed it. It was very flavorful. I had the yakisoba noodles with pork. The pork was lovely and well cooked. Very tender! But, for me, the sauce on the noodles was really heavy on vinegar. I was expecting/wanting a more savory/umami flavor. They were way too sour for my taste. I’m certain that there would have been a lot of other menu items I would have enjoyed! I wish I’d tried their miso ramen instead of the yakisoba.“

“The meal was good ,the quality and the overall experience was excellent. The menu was similar to when I was stationed in Korea and ate at a local little restaurant . The ramen noodles were delicious. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the decor added to the overall cultural atmosphere. “I’d say even though waiting time was quite long (but to be fair, the place was really busy), I can get over that because the staff were super friendly. The portion wasn’t huge, but that’s actually a good thing . I’m not fan of wasting food, and since it’s not oversized, you can actually finish your plate. Plus, the price is really good, one of less locations where you get a real dish im mean not fastfood for these price 👍🏽“

“Let's start with the service extremely helpful and very fast. You can choose to use the kiosk to or order at the register. Personally I usually walk away with the "build your own" adding an extra egg and green onions. Though no matter what you go for I'm sure you will love it.“

“Honestly, I would give more stars if I could. The ambiance and restaurant itself was very elegant but cozy. Every dish we tried was incredible, we started with appetizers the crispy rice with tuna was cooked to perfection as well as the cucumber and avocado salad, which was delicious and flavorful.
Some of my FAVORITES included the yellowtail and jalepenos which i would highlyyy recommend. The Jessica Roll was absolutely to die for and melted in your mouth. We had a few other rolls including the lemon roll and fantasy roll while also grabbing the salmon and yellowtail belly.
Everything was super fresh and flavorful. I would highly recommend stopping by here whether it be with friends to catch up or your significant other for a date.“

“Decided to try this lil place after the first place e we went to was all vegan. Nothing wrong with that, just wanted some good pork ramen. My lady and I shared some great steamed pork/chicken pot stickers with a spicy yuzu sauce that was tangy and spicy. She had the chicken ramen and I had the Tekesume (sorry if I misspelled this). Both were great dishes and filling. Can't wait to come back.“

“Been wanting to try this place for a couple years now. Glad we finally did. Excellent food, much better than any Jinya Ramen. We had a bunch of appetizers. Indeed, their Takoyaki was amazing, Howard Yang! 😍 We had 2 seasonal specials, the Spicy Crispy Shrimp Roll and the cold Tan Tan ramen. Both were fantastic, albeit a bit too spicy for me. Service is super friendly. We will definitely be back. Want to try a bunch of other things, including the hot ramens.“

I always pass by here on my way to work (when it's still closed) and when I get off work (when it's too hot to eat ramen) so I never been here and today is my first time to eat here.

They have a deal for: 1 appetizer (pork bun), 1 main course (pork, egg, and ramen noodle soup in pork base) soup, and 1 drink ( Thai iced tea) for only $35!

It was one of the best munchies I've ever had.“

“Server was excellent, friendly and very attentive. Food was light, clean and fresh. Had the Miso Chashu Ramen + gyoza dumpling combo. Lots of lean soft meat. Broth was light with lots of green onion. Gyoza was crispy and light. Restaurant was very clean and had a calm atmosphere.“

“My kids were raving about this place and they finally invited me to try this location. So naturally, I ordered their best items on the menu. We ordered the chicken pieces as an appetizer and we all chose a bowl of ramen. I ordered the beef broth truffle soup with an extra side of pork belly. The appetizer and the special sauce was delicious and the Ramen was amazing. As a big fan of Phó, this place was really good. Next time we come in, I will order the chicken broth. The only reason it didn't get a 5 star review was because of what management said to us as we dined. One of the people in our party did not have soup, they had a sandwich from the restaurant next door. Management came to our table and said that they didn't allow outside food to be eaten in their restaurant. With multiple restaurants located in this shopping center and No signs posted anywhere, I think this policy should be re-evaluated. Between the 3 of us eating Ramen, the bill was almost $84 with a tip. I think for the location being so close to other choices of food and the price, my family should be able to enjoy dinner together. I hope they change this policy in the near future.“

“My wife and I came here to grab lunch since we were already in the plaza picking up food at another place. We came before the lunch rush so they were able to sit us quick. My wife and I came here before when they first open.

Finding parking in the small plaza is a hit or miss so just be aware of that. Our server was Jenny and we thought she was good but the service was just slow. It wasn't even lunch but I think they only had 2 waitress working and they were kind of busy already because it was a cold rainy day.

My wife got the Spicy Miso Ramen at level 3 with chicken. I got the Chef Favorite Shoyu Ramen at level 3 spiciness. My wife also got her milk tea which she loves here. We thought our ramen soup was okay but it wouldn't be our go to place for ramen.“

“I love eating here! The service is always so awesome. I love that it's tucked away, and every time I've brought someone to eat here they don't expect that the restaurant is here. As for the food, it's DELICIOUS! My son is picky, and even he couldn't deny how good the food is. The ramen is amazing, it's so good and the portions are hearty. I usually end up getting a ramen combo with a chashu bowl. Now, I get to eat there AND have delicious leftovers. My family have tried other ramen places around and we keep coming back to Futaba because it's number one in our eyes. The flavor is always on point. Definitely recommend.“

“I finally made it to Chibiscus and had an excellent meal. It is a small shop with a few tables and has some cute decor. And it has parking!!!  There is street parking as well if the lot is full. It is not a huge book of a menu. But the choices are well done, and everyone should be able to find something they want here. I started with the veggie potstickers and a spicy tuna hand roll. And then had the chicken curry dish as my entrée. Do not order too much at first, save some room for dessert. Oh my gosh! The desserts look amazing, and folks drive from all over for the brick toasts here. My food arrived after just a bit. The potstickers were good. Good flavor and not overcooked, along with a nice dipping sauce. The spicy tuna handroll was huge! What a deal! Maybe 6-7 bites to eat it all. The curry came out and was a good amount of food, just like everything else that had already been served. A large scoop of rice, some pickled ginger and a big bowl of Curried chicken came out. It was really hot, and I needed to let it cool a bit before digging in. It had a nice flavor, like a brown sauce with curry added maybe(?). Potatoes, carrots, and plenty of chicken, it was a good amount of food. I probably should have taken some food home but ended up just eating everything there. Next time, dessert!“

“I never leave reviews, but as someone who loves sushi and has eaten at most of the restaurants and hole in the walls in the valley — this place is hands down at the top. The atmosphere isn’t fancy, more casual, but the happy hour deal and the quality of the food is solid. The staff couldn’t be nicer and more lovely. “The food is amazing but the attitude and lack of honesty of the woman working behind the counter is concerning. They are frequently out of items that go in their premade bowls and rather than be upfront and honest about this, she substitutes for other ingredients or just leaves them out without notifying customers. This brings up both food allergy concerns as well as pricing issues for things like protein. And then she presents attitude towards those who inquire about these problems and often has to be talked to repeatedly to correct issues. This has been one of our favorite places to come but more recently the customer service leaves a lot to be desired.“

“I finally tried Silverlake Ramen at the Porter Ranch Vineyards, and I enjoyed every moment of it. I’ve heard about Silverlake Ramen for years, so I was excited when they opened one so close to my house. I don’t remember the exact name of my order, but it was a chicken-based broth and I chose tofu as my protein (you can pick chicken, pork, or tofu). Seriously—YUM. The noodles were cooked to perfection, the toppings were just the right amount, and I completely got lost in that broth.

Everything was fairly priced, delicious, and the service was attentive and genuinely upbeat. I’m absolutely going back. We also tried a couple of appetizers—the gyoza and the crispy rice with spicy tuna—and both were great!“

“I’ve eaten at Kita a few times now and it really stands out among the restaurants in the area. The ramen is consistently filling and fresh, with tender, flavorful chashu pork that melts in your mouth. Their bento box meals are generous and satisfying, with great portion sizes. The fish is impressively fresh since the staff mentioned it is delivered every morning, and you can definitely taste the difference.

The staff are sweet, professional, and always provide quick service, which makes Kita a perfect spot for a lunch break during work hours. I’ll definitely be coming back. It has become one of my local favorites. Highly recommend.“

Katsu curry rice is very good here (katsu pork was prepared perfectly and curry flavorful) as well as their gyudon (beef over rice). Service as fast, friendly and attentive and the dining area was very clean. Value for the meal is excellent especially for West LA! Cannot recommend enough!“
